Christina Aguilera is coming out with a new album, going on a new tour… and getting herself a new man? According to the new issue of Star , the singer – currently taking a break from The Voice – is nearly done with her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years, Matthew Rutler. “Their relationship is convenient. It was always casual, very on and off, and not something Christina saw a future in,” an insider tells the tabloid. So, where will Aguilera goes when she breaks it off with this relative no-name? “She’s wasting no time setting her sights on a number of eligible bachelors,” claims the source, adding that Aguilera “wants an A-list boyfriend to complement her newfound confidence.” With a hot music career, “all that’s missing is a hot, headline-stealing man on her arm,” concludes the mole, saying Xtine even have two names picked out: “Colin Farrell and Jared Leto.” Someone should tell her that Justin Bieber is single. Matt Rutler Cleared in DUI Case

How nice, and rare, to see celebrity scandals end well for a change. Turns out Christina Aguilera’s boyfriend Matt Rutler was NOT too drunk to drive after all. Rutler got popped for DUI back in March, but citing insufficient evidence to prosecute, the L.A. District Attorney determined he won’t be charged with a crime. That’s because his blood alcohol content was ultimately determined to be .06, or under California’s legal limit to operate a vehicle, .08. So why was he busted? Matt has even more to smile about now that he’s in the clear! Aguilera, a passenger in the car at the time, was busted for public drunkenness when officers determined she was too plowed to take care of herself . Matt Rutler was likely arrested on suspicion of DUI by association. Hours after the arrest, officials decided they would not pursue any charges against the singer. Now they’ve exonerated her man, as well. Good for them. Well, except for the whole downward spiral thing.

Matthew Rutler Mug Shot, Christina Aguilera Arrest Details: Released!

New details have emerged on Christina Aguilera’s recent arrest , and they don’t make the singer or boyfriend Matthew Rutler look very good. Sources tell TMZ that Christina and her man dined in a private room at posh Los Angeles restaurant Osteria Mozza until well past midnight. Deep into a couple bottles of wine, a fellow patron reportedly recognized Aguilera, asked the waiter to send her a drink and was told: “She’s already drinking a bottle of wine… or two.” Hilarious. Meanwhile, both Rutler and Aguilera have been released from jail. They are allegedly holing up in her Beverly Hills home. Pulled over by police for swerving on the road, Rutler blew a .09 on the breathalyzer, according to Radar Online. The legal limit in California is .08. He doesn’t look too broken up about it in the mug shove above, does he? As for Christina, L.A. County Sheriff Office spokesperson Steve Whitmore says Aguilera was a complete mess when she and Rutler were pulled over: “When she got out of the car, she couldn’t stand. We had to help her stand. She didn’t know where she was and she didn’t know her own address. We took her into custody for her own protection.”

Need another sign that things are serious between Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler? The singer has spoken publicly about her new man for the first time. Aguilera tells People she met Rutler on the set of Burlesque , but didn’t officially start dating Rutler until her divorce was finalized, adding: “Matthew is a special person. We had a really strong friendship on the movie. He’s the kind of person you could spend hours on the phone talking to and all of a sudden it’s daylight.” Just how quickly are things progressing? “I’m not trying to jump into anything,” says the singer. “I just left a five-year marriage… There’s a love there, yes. I’m having fun… I’m taking it slow and trying to be happy.” But why did things fall apart with husband Jordan Bratman, from which she filed for divorce in October? It all started while filming the aforementioned musical, Aguilera says. “As a musician you’re with your posse all the time, and during the movie I removed myself from mine. So I had an independence I’d never felt before. I was growing leaps and bounds daily. I went from being a girl to a woman. “When I finished filming, I didn’t feel right in my own shoes [a home]. I had a lot of things stirring inside of me that I felt were being suppressed. We tried to work on the marriage and figure out a common ground, but the problems were obvious.”
