The first trailer for Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill as Superman, has arrived. Expect a darker, edgier and more somber Clark Kent in 2013. Dark Knight style. Man of Steel Trailer In the trailer, we see Clark as a young boy, when he begins to notice he’s not like the other kiddos in Smallville. We then flash forward to Cavill as the Man of Steel . The effects, such as Kent breaking the sound barrier in flight, appear to be top-notch. Michael Shannon’s character, rumored to be General Zod, is also prominent. With the potentially huge success of Man of Steel , Warner Bros. hopes to launch The Justice League . DC’s band of heroes are set to hit the big screen in 2015. What do you think of the trailer?
The latest, full-length trailer for The Lone Ranger has dropped, shedding new light on how the title character, played by Armie Hammer, teamed up with Johnny Depp’s Tonto. The Lone Ranger Movie Trailer In the trailer, we see a badly beaten Lone Ranger wake up from a nightmare atop a treacherous wooden tower, only to come across Tonto and a white horse. “Why am I alive?” the Ranger asks. “Eight men rode into canyon,” he replies. “I dug seven graves. Horse says you are a spirit walker. A man who has been to the other side and returned.” Profound stuff. After the pair decide to ride together “for justice,” Tonto suggests the Ranger conceal his identity: “People think you are dead. Better to stay that way.” The pair ride into the wild west (and in theaters) July 3, 2013. In other movie news , the full-length Man of Steel trailer was also released this week. Check it out!
The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert married J.P. Rosenbaum in Pasadena, Calif., earlier this month. For her made-for-TV wedding, the bride wore a custom Randi Rahm gown. Take a look at it below, complete with a 40-pound, hand-beaded train: The couple invited several familiar faces to attend the event, including Emily Maynard, Jason and Molly Mesnick, Trista and Ryan Sutter, Jillian Harris and Sean Lowe. Bachelor host Chris Harrison officiated the Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum wedding. Seriously. JP and Ashley got engaged on the 2011 season of The Bachelorette, and have been together ever since, making for one of the few success stories in show history. “They both got choked up,” says a guest. “The vows were very heartfelt. They’re a great couple.” And a fashionable one, according to the Us Weekly wedding snaps above. Congrats to the duo! For more details on the couple’s big day, you can see Hebert and Rosenbaum say “I do” for yourself – in a two-hour wedding special Sunday, December 16 on ABC. The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum married Saturday in Pasadena, Calif. Surrounded by family, friends and Bachelor alumni including Ali Fedotowsky, Emily Maynard, and Jason and Molly Mesnick, the couple said “I do” in an outdoor ceremony. Officiated by franchise host Chris Harrison. Seriously. “Today is all about our friends and family,” Ashley Hebert said. “It’s about standing with J.P., looking around at all the people we love in the same room there to celebrate our love.” And the TV crew who foots the bill … hey, do what you gotta do. The 28-year-old dentist from Madawaska, Maine, was a contestant on The Bachelor and made it to the final three in Brad Womack’s second stint on the show. She then met New York construction manager Rosenbaum, 35, on Season 7 of The Bachelorette in 2011. The couple got engaged on the season finale. Hebert and Rosenbaum are just the second couple in the franchise’s 24 seasons to make it from the final rose to the altar, following Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter in 2003. Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney also met on the show, though he initially chose Melissa Rycroft before changing his mind and asking out runner-up Molly. The Mesnicks are married and expecting their first child together. Like Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza , who also got married yesterday, Ashley and J.P.’s nuptials will be shown December 16 in a two-hour special on ABC. Congratulations to the married lovebirds! The earlier reports are true: Whitney Houston will be laid to rest this Saturday in her native city of Newark, New Jersey. The service will take place at the New Hope Baptist Church, the same locale in which Houston (and cousin Dionne Warwick) sang in the choir as a child. Sources say the family wants to keep this event as private as possible and will limit capacity to no more than 300 guests. Meanwhile, Newark Mayor Cory Booker has come out and shot down talk of a public memorial, saying of rumors that one would take place later this week: “The Houston family has no plans to set up a public viewing at the Prudential Center this Friday. In compliance with the family’s wishes, the city is not moving forward with any public ceremony.” Across the country, of course, citizens and celebrities continue to celebrate the singer’s life in their own ways. LeAnn Rimes, for example, sang a tribute to Whitney last night.
Lindsay Lohan has more tax liens against her than she does probation violation charges. Okay, that’s a gross exaggeration … but she does have more than one. Which is ridiculous in itself. That’s right, according to the L.A. County Recorder’s Office, Lindsay never paid federal income taxes for 2010: $140,203.30 worth. This is a different case than the $93,701.57 she owes from 2009 . Baffling. As TMZ previously reported , LiLo never cut Uncle Sam a check for the $93,701.57 she was supposed to pay in federal income taxes for 2009 either. Lohan blamed her accountants for the 2009 debacle (obviously, never her fault) so it’s probably safe to say they’re on the hook for 2010 as well. On a side note, Lindsay Lohan owed $140,203.30 in just federal taxes in 2010? From what work, exactly? And are her legal fees nearly as high? Good thing those Lindsay Lohan Playboy pics just netted her nearly a million bucks. She may need a good chunk of that just to pay off the IRS. [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
