Sure, that sounds like a good way to spend your money. The world’s most loved-up couple at the moment, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are reportedly (probably not) planning a $2 million wedding on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. According to Life & Style , the “VIP” guest list includes people from Hollywood, Nashville and abroad. “Gwen wants a corn maze and carnival rides, plus okra, smoked meats and barbecue,” a source told the magazine. “The dress code will be ‘Southern dressy-casual,’ like plaids, flip-flops and nice jeans.” Considering what Shelton wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar party, I’d say this is the only accurate sentence in the entire story. Also mentioned is how furious Shelton’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert is about a wedding taking place at Shelton’s ranch, as well as Stefani’s alleged stealing of her country style. I can’t with these people. Last week, Shelton and Stefani’s romance made People’s cover, and sources claim that a wedding is deffo going to happen . “They seem too perfect for each other for it to just be fluke,” one insider said. “For now, they seem happy with their relationship, but Blake is old-fashioned and a future engagement seems very possible.” Last night, a Shelton fan Instagram’d a photo of Stefani watching her man perform inside Nashville’s Bridgestone area. “@blakeshelton … Is that @gwenstefani we spy watching you perform tonight in Nashville!!” @gatormom333 wrote. “Maybe,” Shelton said with a winky face emoji. According to the Chicago-Tribune , Mayor Rahm Emanuel had to take action… Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Tuesday announced he has dismissed Chicago police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, citing a lack of public trust in the police leadership in the wake of the high-profile shooting that eventually led to a white officer being charged with first-degree murder in the death of a black teen shot 16 times in a Southwest Side street last year. “Superintendent McCarthy knows that a police officer is only as effective as when he has the trust of those he serves,” Emanuel said at a City Hall news conference where he appointed a task force to look at police accountability. Emanuel said he and McCarthy on Sunday began discussing the future of the Police Department and “the undeniable fact that the public trust in the leadership of the department has been shaken and eroded.” “This morning, I formally asked for his resignation,” said Emanuel, who said McCarthy can be proud of his record. “Now is the time for fresh eyes and new leadership to confront the challenges the department and our community and our city are facing as we go forward.” Mayor Emanuel says that there will be a “thorough” search for a new superintendent who is capable of rebuilding the trust of the people. The former boy band member Tweeted a photo from rehearsals at the time, writing “honored to share the stage with this BADASS. Wed night. Memphis x Nashville,” to which Stapleton replied: “The feeling couldn’t be more mutual #nashvilletnkids.” And just how impressive were these musical superstars? They actually earned a shout-out in Miranda Lambert's acceptance speech for Best Female Vocalist. “I'm just gonna keep it short, but Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton, thank you very much. I'm gonna go home and practice,” the country music sensation said of her fellow artists. Stapleton released hid debut solo album in May.
