According to a recent rumor, Blake Shelton really wants Gwen Stefani to return to The Voice . What? That’s not an especially intriguing piece of chatter for you? Okay. The singers are “determined to have a child together,” an insider says in the latest issue of Us Weekly, expounding a bit on the topic with this quote: “They are in the final stages of choosing the woman who will carry their baby. It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited.” Stefani is 49 years old and has three kids from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale. This source says she and Shelton would go the surrogate route in order to procreate, noting that Blake “wants his own child too.” Stefani shares sons Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10 and Apollo, 4, with ex-husband Rossdale. She and Shelton started dating nearly three years ago at this point, following her divorce and Shelton’s split in 2015 from then-wife Miranda Lambert. It seemed like a very cute little fling at the time; like two popular and attractive musicians getting together because each was suddenly single. Fast forward these years later, however, and the romance seems as rock solid as nearly any in Hollywood. “Gwen just is so in awe of the love Blake has, not only for her, but for the boys,” this same insider tells this same tabloid. There’s been talk forever about Shelton and Stefani eventually getting married, with one report claiming they actually are married already . But we cannot confirm this allegation. It’s probably how he somehow ended up “Sexiest Man Alive.” Despite all of that, Blake is reportedly considering quitting the show that has given him so much — including tens of millions of dollars. Surprisingly, it sounds like producers wouldn’t mind that at all. And it may all come down to Blake Shelton’s behavior when the cameras aren’t rolling. Blake Shelton has been making headlines since he first hooked up with Gwen Stefani a few years ago. Their runaway romance began after Gwen shared her story of being cheated on with her costars — she wanted to tell her fellow judges what was going on in her life before they heard speculation in tabloids. Blake came forward, telling Gwen that he’d just gone through something similar in his own life. The two of them bonded over that. And then, at some point, they boned. One time, she said that she passed out and woke up later lying on the floor, and “I had no idea how long I was out or what I did during that time.” “It was scary, not knowing.” Yeah, we imagine. And in a new interview with Us Weekly, Jenelle is opening up even more about those dark times. To start, she recounts that scary heroin incident one more time, saying “I basically blacked out and woke up not remembering anything.” “I was appalled — I couldn’t believe that happened. I really was so close to dying.” After that, she called her mother, the long-suffering Barbara Evans, and asked her to come pick her up, which she did. “I quit cold turkey,” Jenelle claims. “I just went to my mom’s house and rode it out. I started to go through withdrawals for the first time.” “I didn’t know it would be like the worst flu I’ve ever had for seven days. First, you have insomnia, then you can’t eat, then you have panic attacks, then hot and cold sweats for a week, uncontrollable shaking and your joints hurt.” “You can die from trying to withdraw on your own,” she adds. “I luckily did it safely.” “But I said to myself, ‘I’m done. I can’t ever go through this again.'” And that, kids, is just a short list of reasons why you should never, ever do heroin. It’s also a little confusing, because she did heroin when she was with Courtland Rogers too, right? And she was with Courtland after she was with Kieffer, and she moved on to Nathan Griffith pretty fast after dumping Courtland. But we all know by now that Jenelle is a fan of rewriting history, so it’s hard to tell what the truth is here — let’s just let her have this one. Admirably, Jenelle also says that she wants to “bring attention to how severe the heroin epidemic is. It’s horrible. It is like a disease and needs to be treated like it.” She adds that she was originally “I was afraid to speak out and tell people that I was on drugs. People were accusing me of it, but I just thought, ‘Oh, they don’t know me. I have it figured out.'” “I was in denial.” Thankfully she stopped with denial, at least about the drugs, and she’s obviously doing much better now. But how about her relationship with poor Babs ? “I told her, ‘If you want to be in my life, you can give me back my son and we can start from there,'” she says. “I can’t stand that a mother would do this to her daughter. I lost all respect for her.” Where’s the eye-roll emoji when you need it, right? About all the rumors about Jenelle being pregnant with her fourth child , she says that she’s actually “planning to get my tubes tied as soon as I get the time.” She’s “75% sure” she’s going to get that done, “but I don’t want any more kids. And besides, she’s 47 years old right now — a time when most women have an extremely difficult time conceiving, if they can even conceive at all. Did the coaches manage to get the people they wanted for their team of singing sensations? That was their plan on the third night of the blind auditions, but there was a lot of tension as each coach tried desperately to emerge from the auditions stage with some solid singers. This was made difficult by the contestants who got to choose which team they joined. All of this was made possible by the coaches turning those red chairs because they liked what they heard. Oh, and we can’t forget Gwen Stefani trying to imply the contestants can get the best of both worlds because she is boning Blake Shelton. Let’s run down the list of people who managed to make it through the audition stage of the reality hit… Ashley Levin 23-year-old Ashley opted to sing “Let Him Fly” by Patty Griffin. It was a solid performance, but it did not impress Adam Levine. Yes, you guys, Adam did not turn his chair for this one. That left Gwen, Alicia, and Blake to duke it out to have Ashley. Gwen felt the need to flaunt her relationship with Blake to her advantage. She reasoned that Ashley would have access to both Gwen and Blake. Um, that’s not how it works, Gwen. In the end, Ashley chose to go with Blake. Brandon Royal Brandon went with Stevie Wonder’s “Master Blaster” and it was pretty spectacular. There were a few moments that made me question whether he was for real, but he hit all of the beautiful notes you would expect of someone singing that song. Brandon decided to go with Gwen, which was a good idea when you consider the fact you could imagine the pair performing a duet together. Julien Martinez Julien wowed the judges with his rendition of “Pride and Joy” by Stevie Ray Vaughn. You could tell from his vocals that he would fit in well with Adam. As you can probably expect, Adam turned around. It was between Adam and Blake. Julien chose Adam in the end, with Blake looking rather unimpressed that his team was still lacking in the male department. Quizz Swanigan Quizz was one of the more different voices on the show this season, and that’s a good thing. Variety is always best and there’s nothing worse than everyone sounding the same on the show. Quizz opted to sing “Who’s Lovin’ You” by The Jackson 5. Alicia and Gwen wanted him on their respective teams, but Quizz went with the Queen of the high note, Alicia Keys. Casi Joy Casi went with “Blue” by LeAnn Rimes. It proved that people know LeAnn aside from her various celebrity feuds. Her voice was a delight, but she started something like a bidding war when everyone turned around to claim her. Being a country artist, she chose to go with Blake, but not everyone was impressed with this choice, and Adam even threatened to give up because he knew it was happening. Talk about a sore loser. Last we checked on Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, the couple was going strong at the People’s Choice Awards . BS and GS certainly aren’t shy about their love, but they are careful about controlling how much of their life together goes public. Pretty much from the time they first hooked up, we’ve been hearing rumors about Gwen and Blake getting married , but both parties have been evasive when asked about plans to tie the knot. But that may be soon to change … Radar Online is reporting today that Shelton and Stefani are receiving more money to return for future seasons than any other judges on The Voice. The reason seems to be that producers are well aware that viewers love ’em some Gwake chemistry, and the relationship has proven to be a ratings bonanza. “[Blake and Gwen] are getting paid an exceptional bonus that is significantly higher than the other judges to keep the spark alive on-camera,” a production source tells Radar. Of course, the novelty of the fact that two of the judges are dating will eventually wear off, which means Gwen and Blake may have to offer fans more of an insider’s view of their relationship if they want to keep the audience interested. The news of the bonus has led to speculation that Gwen and Blake might have promised producers something special. Like, for example, an on-air proposal during one of the show’s live segments. Obviously, that’s just speculation at this point, but makes an awful lot of sense. Without the expectation of that sort of event television, it wouldn’t make much sense for the network to offer Gwen and Blake significantly more cash than the other judges. After all, the tabloid interest in their relationship has begun to die down, and that will likely translate to diminishing returns in terms of ratings. Blake proposing to Gwen on the air would certainly boost interest in the show, however temporarily. But it seems like producers have some other tricks up their sleeve, as well: “The producers really want to see Gwen and Blake in competition more often this upcoming season, versus working with each other like they have in the past,” says the insider. John Mayer, legendary skeezoid lothario, apparently has his sights set on Demi Lovato, who’s had a rougher than rough few years. What is it about troubled young women that gets Mayer’s motor running like this? We don’t know, but it’s creepy and disturbing as hell. Poor Demi Lovato can barely settle on a hair color for more than a week, and Mayer’s got a racist penis . When you put the two of those together, it’s definitely bad news for everyone involved (and even those who are just simple fans of humanity). Us reported that the two were spotted looking terribly chummy at West Hollywood nightclub, Catch L.A. If that doesn’t make your breath catch in your throat, it’s probably because you’re already passed out on the floor due to extreme distress. “John had his arm around Demi and was whispering sweet nothings into her ear,” the source revealed. “Nothing” is probably a good word for it, because anything that comes out of John Mayer’s mouth – music included – should be filed under “nothing.” “She was into it,” the source continued. “They weren’t making out or anything, but she was giggling the whole time.” Seriously? Sick! Though the mag reported that the two entered separately, and left the same way, that doesn’t mean that John won’t eventually get his way. The two reportedly were stuck like glue for more than an hour, and Mayer was said to have dropped one of the corniest lines of all, and said that Demi “has one of the greatest voices.” Mayer and Lovato have a history of stroking the other’s ego. In 2009, John tweeted something about Demi Lovato and her music and brilliance and blah blah and talent, and Demi returned the favor by calling him her “inspiration” and “idol.” Gag us with a pitchfork. Later the duo collabed on a song for Demi’s Here We Go Again album, and had more fawning things to say. “John Mayer’s been a huge influence on me,” she said. “His songwriting really inspires me.” “I guess he heard I was a huge fan, and he sent me a letter,” she revealed. Mayer would have been fawning over Lovato when she was 17, and him, 32, so yeah. We’d give it a few buffer years before trying to buff Lovato if we were almost double her age at the time of initial contact, too. “Then we ended up writing together.” Well isn’t that a story for the grandkids.
