CMA Awards 2015: List of Winners!

The winners have been officially unveiled at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards, or CMA Awards, airing Wednesday evening on ABC. Call it what you want, the biggest night in country lived up to its billing, and not just because of Blake Shelton-Miranda Lambert drama , either. Newcomer and rising star Chris Stapleton stole the show at the 49th annual event in Nashville, both on the stage and the winners’ circle. The longtime songwriter took home three of the night’s prizes, Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. “This is an unbelievable thing for me, I’m not going to take it lightly,” said Stapleton, who teamed up for Justin Timberlake (really) on stage. The unlikely duo brought the house down, too. Miranda Lambert, winning Female Vocalist of the Year after a rousing performance of her own, said, “I’m going to go home and practice.” The evening’s other major winners were Little Big Town, who took home three awards, and Luke Bryan, who won Entertainer of the Year. Miranda Lambert on CMA Awards Win: I Needed This!

Miranda Lambert won Best Female Vocalist at the CMA Awards for the sixth consecutive time on Wednesday night. But this one felt different from past victories. Lambert didn’t just divorce fellow country star Blake Shelton a few months ago, she spent this week hearing all about rumors that Shelton is now dating pop icon and The Voice co-star Gwen Stefani. Then, mere hours before the CMAs aired live from Nashville, Stefani confirmed she is boning Shelton , Lambert’s famous ex-husband. Who, of course, happened to be in attendance at the event. Awkward much?!? But Lambert handled the situation like a professional, first putting on an outstanding performance of her new single “Bathroom Sink” and then being called on stage to accept the aforementioned award. “Man, I appreciate it. I needed a bright spot this year, so thank you,” the artist said in her acceptance speech, making a clear reference to her divorce. Mentioning another powerhouse performance from an unlikely duo earlier in the evening, Lambert then added in conclusion: “I love country music fans, and I’m just gonna keep it short, but Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton, thank you very much. I’m gonna go home and practice. “Thank y’all very much, I love y’all.”  Lambert defeated such major stars as Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves to take home Best Female Vocalist here in 2015. Well deserved, we say! View Slideshow: Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton: Through the Years

Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake: What a Duet!

Justin Timberlake didn't bring sexy back at the 2015 Country Music Awards . Instead, the pop singer went a little bit country for the occasion, teaming up with Chris Stapleton at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to duet on “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Drink You Away.” And Mr. Jessica Biel proved to be quite the good luck charm for the up-and-coming country singer, as Stapleton went on to win New Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist and Album of the Year. Timberlake and Stapleton have known each other for years, with news of their unexpected performance breaking on Monday. The former boy band member Tweeted a photo from rehearsals at the time, writing “honored to share the stage with this BADASS. Wed night. Memphis x Nashville,” to which Stapleton replied: “The feeling couldn’t be more mutual #nashvilletnkids.” And just how impressive were these musical superstars? They actually earned a shout-out in Miranda Lambert's acceptance speech for Best Female Vocalist. “I'm just gonna keep it short, but Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton, thank you very much. I'm gonna go home and practice,” the country music sensation said of her fellow artists. Stapleton released hid debut solo album in May. Prior to going out on his own, he wrote singles for such singers as Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan and Adele. That's quite the resume. And this was quite the duet. Watch Timberlake and Stapleton team up on “Tennessee Whiskey” and prepare to be blown away.

Grandmother Of Ranting Racist Riley Cooper Says He Wasn’t Raised Prejudiced, “He Has To Deal With Consequences”

You made your bed, now sleep. Grandmother Of Eagles Player Riley Cooper Says He Was Not Raised To Be A Racist According to TMZ reports : N-word hurling Philadelphia Eagles player Riley Cooper isn’t getting any sympathy from his own grandma — who tells TMZ, Cooper screwed up big time … and it’s his mess to clean up. Riley’s Grandma Betty didn’t make excuses when we spoke to her … saying, “[Riley] brought it upon himself and he has to deal with the consequences.” As we reported, Cooper has already taken leave from the Eagles to pursue counseling after his n-word threat at a recent Kenny Chesney concert — when he said he would fight “every n***er” at the show. Grandma says Riley was raised in a good household that never condoned racism of any kind — so she’s surprised by his behavior, especially because she says he’s never gotten into any kind of trouble before. That said, Grandma Betty is optimistic about Riley’s future, telling us it’s good he’s nipping this problem in the bud now before it gets any worse. You KNOW it’s bad when grandma isn’t even sticking up for you. Nighty, nighty Riley…you piece of isht Image via YouTube

Kenny Chesney’s Awesome Crowd of the Day

Nothing says country music or cowboy like a bunch of rednecks in a good old fashion bar brawl, even if this bar happens to be an outdoor concert, put on by Kenny Chesney, who unlike real country music, you know the good Outlaw shit from the 40s-70s, is just shitty country, that so much middle American trash listens to, because they are uneducated hicks who don’t know better and if you watch this videos you’ll see case in point…. 10 large fights broke out and 150 people were treated for various medical needs. Another 45 people were taken to medical facilities as well. I mean maybe they are just angry about his 4 month marriage to Renee Zellweger, you know 4 months too long for a small eyed freak… I guess what it comes down to is that it was unfortunate there wasn’t a gun fight, cuz this topless wrestling is a little too Brokeback Mountain cowboy…and not enough real cowboy…probably a lot like Kenny Chesney, at least based on his taste in women. All this to say, Country Music is a bad influence on our youth, I think we should look into getting it banned from all public places and/or The Voice. It’s like the new Marilyn Manson and these kids are Paris Jackson or some shit.

I cried all night because I’ll never not be a fan of those beautiful women.” It was quite a moment. Relive it below: Miranda Lambert Wins!

Luke Bryan Wins Entertainer of the Year at ACM Awards, Left Speechless

Luke Bryan won Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards last night, and no one was more surprised by this than Luke himself. Luke Bryan Wins at ACM Awards Bryan upset Miranda Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean and two-time Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift to claim the top prize. The 36-year-old Georgia native, who is relatively new to the spotlight, recently began headlining his first arena tour, making his win a shock to many. “I don’t know what to say guys,” Bryan said. “Thank you so much, fans, for doing this to me. Thank you so much for making my life what it is.” “What I always wanted to be was just a country singer who got to ride on a tour bus and show up on a new stage and play music every night.” After an emotional speech, ACMA co-host Blake Shelton held his partner up and joked that he won in his “first and last year as co-host” of the awards. Bryan is the first male winner of the award since 2007 when Kenny Chesney claimed it. Swift and Carrie Underwood have won two apiece since then. Bryan’s win was the talk of Las Vegas Sunday night but Lambert again walked away as the academy’s trophy magnet, claiming three major honors. Did you think Luke deserved the top award?

Justin Bieber Nabs Year’s Biggest Chart Debut With Believe

Bieber’s latest sold more than 374,000 copies in its first week, edging Madonna’s MDNA to claim the title of year’s biggest bow. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber’s Believe Photo: Most predicted it , and now it’s official: Justin Bieber ‘s Believe scored the year’s biggest chart debut, selling more than 374,000 copies and blasting the competition on the Billboard Top 200. Believe — Bieber’s fourth album to debut at #1 — slightly edged Madonna’s MDNA, which sold 359,000 copies when it was released in late March, to claim the title of year’s biggest bow, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It’s also the best first-week number any album has posted since Adele’s 21 rode a post-Grammy surge to sales of more than 729,000 copies in February. Bieber’s album also sold nearly twice the copies as its closest competition, Kenny Chesney ‘s Welcome to the Fishbowl, which opens at #2 on the chart with an impressive 193,000 copies in its first week of release. Usually that number is more than enough to take #1, but not this week. Fiona Apple ‘s first album in seven years, The Idler Wheel, debuts at #3, selling nearly 72,000 copies, followed by another returning alt icon, the Smashing Pumpkins , who sold more than 53,000 copies of their Oceania to take #4. The “Rock of Ages” soundtrack rounds out the top five, selling nearly 49,000 copies. Usher, last week’s chart champ (and Bieber’s mentor), is in at #6 with his Looking 4 Myself album, which sold 48,000 copies in its second week. Adele ‘s aforementioned 21 lands at #7 (more than 47,000 copies sold), followed by One Direction ‘s Up All Night (more than 41,000 sold) and Luke Bryan ‘s Tailgates & Tanlines (nearly 28,000 sold). Rush ‘s Clockwork Angels closes out the top 10, selling nearly 27,000 copies. Other debuts on the chart include the Dirty Heads ‘ Cabin by the Sea, which opens at #18 with sales of nearly 18,000 copies, “Once” star Glen Hansard ‘s Rhythm and Repose (#21, more than 16,000 copies sold) and the soundtrack to Pixar’s “Brave,” which bows at #33, with sales of nearly 12,000 copies. And while the story of this week’s Billboard chart is unquestionably Bieber, next week could be a different story. He’ll face challenges from both Linkin Park ‘s LIVING THINGS and Maroon 5 ‘s Overexposed, both of which could make his reign a short-lived one. Can Bieber make it two weeks in a row atop the charts? We’ll just have to wait and see. Related Photos The Evolution Of: Justin Bieber Related Artists Justin Bieber
