Jeannie Mai Gets Dragged Over T.I. Virginity Comments T.I. has been all over the news for the revelation that he forces his daughter to get her hymen checked every year. He’s been called everything from “abusive” to a “bad parent” to “possessive” over his daughter. Everyone has criticized his comments, especially the fact he put his daughter’s virginity all out for the world to talk about. One person, though, has come to his defense. That would be Jeannie Mai, who spoke on it on The Real: “I support what T.I. Is doing because I understand how hard it must be to communicate with an opposite gendered daughter, especially in this time,” Jeannie said on the show. “Especially what he must have seen and known, you know? Of what boys are like. And for me, I was a very wild girl, I didn’t like rules, I rebelled a lot…Clearly he is super concerned about today’s world and everything, I would just say, ‘What is it that you are concerned about when it comes to the breaking of the hymen or the fact that she’s having sex? Is it the STDs?’ Is it that she doesn’t understand what love is? Does he need to know who the boys are? Why doesn’t he trust her? Whatever it is, he needs to speak it with her.” The defense doesn’t really make sense and the world is ready to jump down her throat. I can’t believe Jeannie Mai is siding with TI. Is it bc he’s friends with Jeezy? Like what the hell she sounded crazy trying to explain why too. How is this of all things going over her head?! Very disappointing. pic.twitter.com/ZQHTilj3UJ — WEAUXDEE (@My_Moment95) November 7, 2019 Peep the epic dragging.
Source: Thatree Thitivongvaroon / Getty A debate director for Weber State University faces death threats and risks losing his job due to the accusations of one of his students. According to the Standard Examiner, the university has launched an investigation surrounding Ryan Wash , the Black debate director, and Michael Moreno , a White student, who accuses him of teaching an anti-white curriculum. Moreno rails against Wash on his viral YouTube channel , claiming that Wash doesn’t allow students to develop their own argument, but instead forces them to adhere to arguments that he selects or approves. These are usually arguments Moreno says are discriminatory toward white people. His YouTube channel includes videos labeling the professor as “anti-white” and “racist.” Moreno argues that Wash is unfit to teach debate or any other subject and he’s calling for his termination. “I don’t think that students should be forced with that dilemma of ‘regurgitate radical leftist ideology or don’t get to do debate.’ That’s not fair,” Moreno said. “All students should be able to do debate.” Despite Moreno’s claims, a few members of the debate team say that certain recordings of Wash are taken out of context. They argue that the videos show Wash preparing the team for competition by asserting potential arguments that they could use or arguments that they can face. Wash also has the same sentiment. “The larger message and what’s being talked about, especially in that first video, is (that) I was trying to teach them about perspectivism,” Wash said. ”… People’s vantage points, their experiences, their cultures, their social location, guide how they navigate the world, what they understand to be true, what they don’t understand to be true, and those are the things that we… have to navigate in debate.” Moreno’s YouTube videos contain his own commentary along with edited video and audio clips of Wash, Moreno, and other students at debate practices. Moreno also featured a link to the full audio used to make the video, however, the link to that audio stopped working on Tuesday afternoon. The recordings feature quotes from Wash that have caused controversy on social media, including one that opens the first video: “ Our argument will be that space is not real — it’s not real. Science, technology — it’s all fake. It’s a projection of white fantasies that has worked to control our interpretation of how the world works.” The clips were made at a debate retreat prior to the start of the semester and at practices early in the semester. Moreno, a first-year student who was still fresh on the team, stopped participating in practices one to two weeks into the fall semester, according to him, although Wash and other team members have slightly different accounts. Moreno’s peers and Wash say that they had no knowledge that they were being recorded. The fact that Moreno uploaded the recordings to the Internet also made them accessible to other debate teams. The uploaded clips are against Weber State policy, which requires students to “ obtain the faculty member’s permission before recording lectures” and prohibits students from creating “an audio or video record of any person while on university premises without his/her prior knowledge,” though it’s not against the law in Utah. Because of the videos, Wash says that his personal contact info has been shared online, a tactic known as doxxing, and he says that he’s received more than 100 messages containing racial slurs and even death threats. On Tuesday, November 5, Wash received his first threatening call to his cellphone. “It’s become a really unsafe situation to where we’ve had to take precautions not only to protect me, but protect the students,” Wash said. He explained some threats even mentioned the Ku Klux Klan, saying that the racist group will take “ appropriate action,” although the people sending the messages do not explicitly say that they’re members of the group. The Weber County Attorney’s Office is aware of the alleged threats and is cooperating with the Weber State Police Department to investigate, according to deputy Weber County attorney Branden Miles. Debate team members have also been offered police escorts to their classes. Meanwhile, Moreno says he hasn’t received any threats because of his videos. One campus group, Never Neutral Union, has formed calling for Moreno’s expulsion. One debate team and NNU member, Rei Olsen, defended Wash, saying, “ It is very common, at least in college debate, that the coaches just say, ‘This is the argument you’re running — as a school, we all run the same argument.’ But Ryan is amazing at letting us all run what we want to run.” Moreno also accuses Wash of requiring arguments to include mention of oppression based on gender, race, class or sexual orientation, even if the debate topic isn’t directly related to these themes. Moreno said this method encourages a victim mentality. However, Wash argues that his approval of an argument is “ whether or not it can stand up to scrutiny.” He said gender, race, class, and sexual orientation are not required features of every topic or argument, but they do come up often in the arguments of opposing teams, so it’s important that the Weber State team be ready to address them. Moreno said that he told Wash that he felt “hated by everyone,” and Wash assured him that he wasn’t. Moreno still argued that Wash was “ vulgar and rude to me. He does not like me.” The university is continuing their investigation into both sides, according to executive director of marketing and communications J ohn Kowalewski. President Brad Mortensen also added that “ if disciplinary action is taken, it is the university’s long-standing policy that it does not publicly share or discuss personnel or student conduct violations.” SEE ALSO: High School Coach Whose ‘White Power’ And N-Word Video Went Viral Is Shocked People Are Upset Diamond And Silk Get Dragged For Bizarrely Comparing Biden And Warren To Salt And Sugar
It’s been almost three years since Angelina Jolie separated from Brad Pitt following an incident aboard a private jet that remains shrouded in mystery. At first, both parties remained firmly tight-lipped about both their marriage and their divorce, but these days the actors make the occasional cryptic reference to their former lives and the way things have changed since their split. Brad was the first to break his silence. Thanks to a series of candid interviews, we now know, for example, that Pitt is sober , having reevaluated his use of intoxicants after the separation. Angie kept a lid on things a bit longer, which makes sense. No one ever accused her of instigating the alleged plane altercation, so she likely didn’t feel the need to explain anything. But Angie has a new movie to promote, and she’s been in the business long enough to know exactly what the people want. And so, she gave one of the most candid interviews of her career to Harper’s Bazaar this week. Jolie revealed that years after the split, she finally feels “the blood returning to [her] body,” a profound atatement about the tremendous toll the divorce has taken on her. “My children know my true self, and they have helped me to find it again and to embrace it. They have been through a lot. I learn from their strength,” she added. She went on to say that her choices with regard to where she settles down are currently limited by her husband’s decisions. “I would love to live abroad and will do so as soon as my children are 18. Right now I’m having to base where their father chooses to live,” she told the magazine. Proving once again that celebrity breakups are very, very different from civilian splits, Angie went on to bemoan the fact that her duties as a single parent prevent her from spending time at the Cambodian jungle home she built before she met Brad. “We got a call the other day informing us that chipmunks have moved into the house,” she griped. “They asked if we should remove them, and Vivienne was very clear that we needed to cover the wires and let them stay.” Yes, when you’re rich enough you can leave the First World and still have First World problems. We joke about Angie’s incredible wealth, but the real takeaway here is that she’s a devoted mom, who’s endured a very difficult three yeats. Jolie’s eldest son, Maddox, went off to college in South Korea this fall, and while we’re sure the separation is painful, she’s that much closer to being able to live wherever she wants.
Late this summer, Kourtney Kardashian flaunted her stretch marks on social media, turning heads and earning praise. Kourt notices that her followers approved, and came up with a plan. Now, she’s showing off her “tiger stripes” again, and this time, it’s for a very savvy purpose. Kourtney Kardashian posted this mouth-watering photo to Instagram. Notably, she didn’t share it on her personal Instagram — but on her Poosh side account. While it’s hard to make out in the photo, Kourt does actually have stretch marks. The hot bikini pic was accompanied by a message. “Stretch marks: we’ve all got them,” the caption begins. The Poosh caption then asks: “Looking to minimize the appearance of yours?” Naturally, Poosh being her lifestyle brand and all, the caption then directs followers to click a link to learn how. Most models use their perfections to sell products, so it’s a bit of a change for Kourtney to use her “flaws.” There are a number of modes of thinking about stretch marks. The first is that they are unsightly, and though they can arise from a growth spurt, pregnancy, or exercise, are associated with unwanted weight gain. People of this line of thinking want to do their best to prevent stretch marks from appearing in the first place. When they do get stretch marks, they want to try whatever solutions — Poosh or otherwise — that will mask these marks. Another line of thinking, of course, is that Kourtney and anyone else shouldn’t want to hide these marks. They are, after all, part of your body. Nobody picks their flesh prison. Since there is nothing unhealthy about stretch marks, many feel that the stigma should end. Along with that stigma, people should therefore lose the desire to hide them, as they’re just part of one’s skin. However, both of these diametrically opposed viewpoints kind of … miss the point. Yes, of course there shouldn’t be any stigma about stretch marks. it’s just something that happens to human skin. But that doesn’t mean that Kourtney, or people who take advice from Poosh, are doing anything wrong. Some people embrace their marks while others want to minimize them. Everybody gets to control what they do to their own meatsuit. Kourtney is very clearly not shaming anyone who has stretch marks with this ad. When last she shared her marks, she wrote: “I love my little stripes.” Also, the ad both affirms that everyone has them and then asks if the reader is looking for a change. That’s it. If you’re not looking to change your looks, then the ad is not saying anything about you. That’s an improvement over a lot of beauty ads. Kourtney turned 40 this past April. Compared to some of her siblings, she’s getting into the “personal brand” business a little late. Sure, she hada brand, but she wasn’t profiting from it as aggressively as Kim or Kylie. Kim’s array of products range from makeup to a mobile game, and have led her to have a net worth of a third of a billion dollars. Kylie Cosmetics, of course, is worth a full billion. Kylie became a mother and a billionaire at a shockingly young age. Now that Kourtney’s dipping her toes into the world, her fans hope that Poosh will do something similar for her. Only time will tell. View Slideshow: Kylie Jenner Playboy Cover: Revealed, Very Busty!
Well, it seems the baseless contempt for Meghan Markle — a woman who’s worst crimes appear to be marrying the man she loves and devoting her life to humanitarian work — has reached the level of a global epidemic. At this point, no one in Meghan’s orbit is safe from the barrage of criticism and disparagement that endlessly issues forth from both the media and a distressingly large army of online trolls. Prince Harry, so recently beloved by the British press as “the Fun Royal” must now contend with bullying and harassment that seems to be motivated by nothing more than bigoted antipathy directed at his wife. Given that his mother was killed while fleeing a relentless band of paparazzi, it should come as no surprise that Harry has decided to take action by speaking out against the media’s mistreatment of Meghan and filing lawsuits against the worst offenders. Unfortunately, internet commenters are not bound by the same rules as the British tabloids (lax as those rules are). And Meghan’s most committed haters have figured out how to target her indirectly by taking shots at her friends and family. That’s how you wind up with idiot trolls swarming a photo of Meghan’s best friend, Jessica Mulroney. Jessica is a 39-year-old Canadian stylist who first befriended Meghan on the set of Suits . She posted the below photo while vacationing in the Carribean with her family this week. “Brings ten bathing suits… only gets to wear one on a balcony. All work no play in Cayman. I WILL BE BACK to play in the water with the kiddies,” she captioned the pic. Seems innocent enough, right? Well, normally it would be — but because Jessica is Meghan’s best friend , the pic attracted haters like flies to honey. “Does silicone float easily?” said one critic. “If so, no need for your kids to wear life jackets. The silicone on your chest should do that job just fine for them.” “You look amazing. No question. But how is this helping women …if they can simply never achieve the picture of beauty you are selling?” another commented. And believe it or not, some of the responses were even more rude and ridiculous than that. Thankfully, Jessica did not bow to the pressure. The pic remains on her Instagram page, and she added a little message for her most fervent haters: “Note to self. Never ever post another picture of myself in a bathing suit. Only wear parkas by the beach,” Mulroney wrote. “Apparently a picture in a bathing suit is offensive to my career, some followers, the charities I work with and my children,” she continued. “But guess what… I don’t care. Thank you to my supportive followers who stand up to body shaming. Everyone else, get a clue.” Fortunately, Jess also received a good deal of support from fans: “Thank you for not taking this picture down despite the criticism. Women should be empowered to own their bodies no matter what shape and size they are,” wrote one commenter. “You look amazing and should be damn proud of it!” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. Last month, Bear Brown’s pregnant lady love Raiven Adams resurfaced on social media to deliver an update on her pregnancy. At the time, she offered details on her changing list of symptoms that are making this a less than easy time for her. Now, Raiven is sharing a baby bump pic at 16 weeks, and Bear is showing off an ultrasound! “Not too big yet,” Raiven Adams begins her latest post. She continues: “But I’m sure I’ll miss the little belly when you take up all the Space and I end up looking like a watermelon.” With a hashtag, she notes that she is now 16 weeks pregnant. “My belly ring does not feel tight yet,” Raiven adds. “I have a replacement already that’s used for pregnancy.” “They say around 20 weeks to take it out or switch it,” Raiven says alongside the photo of her growing baby bump. “But as of now,” she shares, “it feels fine not uncomfortable easily moved.” “And if the Pregnancy one doesn’t work out,” Raiven says of the replacement piercing. “I’ll take it out all together depending on my body.” “No medical research shows it’s bad for pregnancy,” she notes. “Just watch your body and do what’s best for you,” Raiven advises her followers. She assures anyone reading: “I research everything I do that could possibly hurt the baby.” “I feel it’s safe,” she announces. “So as long as I have no irritation or pain,” Raiven adds. “I’ll keep it in.” She does caution followers: “This doesn’t apply if you recently had it pierced that has its own risks.” “Mine has been pierced for years,” Raiven concludes. One might ask why she went on that tangent about her navel piercing. Was it simply on her mind? We suspect that she has been bombarded with unhelpful “advice” from followers and wanted to reassure them. That poor girl. Bear Brown also gave his fans and followers an eyefull of their ultrasound. “Hey everybody! Check it out!” Bear’s proud caption begins. He gushes: “So amazing so awesome!” “Raiven’s and my baby, is at 15 weeks!” he concludes. “I can’t wait to hold this little one in my arms!” Gabe Brown, also excited to become a father, commented under his brother’s post. “I’m so happy for y’all,” Gabe begins. “I know how much this means for anyone especially you two,” he continues. Gabe concludes: “No doubt in my mind y’all will be great parents” As sweet as Gabe’s comment of course is, it’s clear that not all of the comments that Raiven and Bear have received have had the same tone. Before they discovered that Raiven was pregnant, Bear and Raiven actually broke off their engagement. Why? Because Raiven, unaccustomed to being a public figure, was bombarded with hate from nasty trolls. Some were horny for Bear, or resented how Raiven had only recently reached the spotlight, or were just hateful. Clearly, she continue to receives trolling, even some that is disguised as concern. Concern trolls are famous for sending messages to pregnant celebrities and reality stars and trying to police their every move. Rarely, it’s okay — no one should smoke while pregnant. Most of the time, it’s controlling nonsense about what brand of cereals they eat. We hope that Raiven’s experiences with fans get easier. Certainly, her pregnancy is only going to get harder from here. View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know
We have an update on the tragic death of Jessi Combs. The former MythBusters host and racecar driver was killed in a car accident late this past August , passing away at the very young age of 36. According to multiple reports, Combs was trying to set a land-speed record for a woman driving a three-wheeled vehicle when the crash took place in Oregon’s Alvord Desert. A statement from Jessi’s family confirmed as much at the time. Now, the Harney County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it has completed its investigation into the crash involving Combs, with cooperation from the North American Eagle Race Team. It was announced an official cause of death. “Based on the evidence collected and examined at the scene of the crash and the evidence recovered by the North American Race Team it appears that there was a mechanical failure of the front wheel, most likely caused from striking an object on the desert,” Lieutenant Brian Needham said in a press release. He added: “The front wheel failure led to the front wheel assembly collapsing. “The front wheel failure occurred at speeds approaching 550 miles per hour.” It’s this last part that really explains it all, of course. Combs was driving at speed literally never driven at before — given the vehicle in which she was traveling — and it’s nearly impossible to know how a car will react to this sort of circumstance. Jessi’s cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma. This is not surprising, but that doesn’t make it any less sad. Combs hosted MythBusters from 2009-2010. She also appeared in the television series documentary Overhaulin. And, just last year, she stopped as a guest in Jay Leno’s Garage. Said her family upon confirming their loved one’s passing: It is with extreme grief, and in celebration of her life that her family and close friends share that race car driver, and TV personality Jessi Combs, passed away in a fatal crash, where she was pursuing a land speed record in the North American Eagle on August, 27th 2019 on a dry lake bed in Oregon. The details of the crash have not been released at this time. Concluded Jessi’s relatives this summer: Jessi was known for her bright smile, positivity, and tenacious pursuit of the fulfillment of her dreams. Her drive was infectious, and she served as a role model for young Girls, and Women around the world. People that loved her and followed her became family, all bonded together by adventure and passion. Her fans adored her, and she lived to inspire them. We continue to send our condolences to the family members, friends and loved ones of Jessi Combs. May she rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam
It’s been less than three months since Miley Cyrus separated from Liam Hemsworth . But Miley clearly subscribes to the theory that the best way to get over an old love is with a new love — or, failing that, a succession of meaningless flings. About 24 hours after the world learned of her separation, Miley was hooking up with Kaitlynn Carter , the 31-year-old socialite or whatever who was previously best known for her fake marriage to Brody Jenner. Many jumped to the conclusion that Miley and Kaitlynn had cheated on their husbands, but they say they were both fully single before they dove into the lady pond together. Anyway, it might’ve been nothing more than some casual rebound friction for Miley, but apparently, for Kaitlynn, the relationship was much more. “Although the relationship with my friend was often referenced in the media as merely a ‘summer fling’ or a ‘same-sex affair,’ it was so much more than that,” Carter wrote in a new essay for Elle . “While it was short-lived, I’ll remain eternally grateful to my most recent relationship for opening my eyes to this unexplored part of myself, and for inspiring a new level of self-discovery and wonder at all the possibilities of life,” she added. Moving stuff — but Kaitlynn may have come on a bit too strong for Miley, who responded to the essay by unfollowing Carter on Instagram. Perhaps to really emphasize the message that she has no room for exes at this point in her life, Miley also unfollowed Liam. Harsh. But hey, Miley’s not just breaking hearts these days — she’s also fixing lives! As you’ve probably heard, Cyrus is dating Cody Simpson at the moment. Cody is a few years younger than Miley, and it sounds like when they met, he was about where she was at that point in her life — new to mainstream fame, partying non-stop, and just generally enjoying being young and rich and high. But these days Cody is substance free, and the only thing he’s getting f–ked up on his new relationship. “4 months sober & still stoned,” Simpson wrote on Instagram this week. That may sound like a bit of a mixed message, but as far as we can tell, Simpson is saying he’s stoned on his love/like/whatever for Cyrus. The message comes just days after Miley offered a similar update: “I’m four months sober,” she wrote in an Instagram Live post. “It’s the best I’ve ever felt. I’m radiating.” Cody confirmed in a recent interview with Us Weekly that the singers are helping one another stay clean: “We both met back in the day when we were partying a lot,” he said . “We had a lot of fun then … but now we’ve found each other in a space where we’re not partying, working real hard and just like [to] keep things healthy.” Here’s hoping Cody’s sobriety isn’t so fragile that it could be broken by something like being dumped and then promptly ghosted. Because that seems to be Miley’s M.O. these days. View Slideshow: Miley Cyrus Risks Catastrophic Nip-Slip on Saturday Night Live
