Source: SOPA Images / Getty *Graphic Video* A Boogie With The Hoodie’s Road Manager Caught Brutalizing Women On Tape Video has surfaced of man by the name of Yasin Touray , who apparently is the road manager to rapper A Boogie , viciously attacking a group of women in a hotel room in Las Vegas. The incident occurred while A Boogie was in town for a performance on May 25th. Thankfully, the man has been arrested and charged with felony battery. In the clip, you see the huge man cold punch one of the women in the face and her body and head slams against a wall. Another runs up to help her and she’s hit with a nasty haymaker too and drops. The man then calmly walks out of the room as the women scream and cry. One checks her teeth in the mirror. Reportedly Touray did damage to her mouth. A few of her teeth were knocked out and nerve roots within her teeth were damaged, according to the police report. According to a Yahoo report , Touray was reportedly invited into the room by one of the women that he knew. However, they described him as being “agitated.” After asking them if they wanted to go out for dinner, they denied him which caused him to be upset. Afterward, he reportedly wanted to use the washroom but it was occupied by a woman who was naked and changing. The women said they demanded him to “leave their room.” He got physical with them and reportedly started punching them. Thankfully, the man has been arrested and charged with felony battery. SMH. Source: MediaNews Group/The Mercury News via Getty Images / Getty Vallejo Police Department Sued By Residents For Civil Rights Violations Vallejo residents are sick and tired of being on the receiving end of racism, brutality, and police violence by local authorities and they’re going to court seeking justice. According to The Guardian, the people of Vallejo have filed a lawsuit against the city for numerous civil rights violations in the wake of the 55-shot killing of a sleeping Willie McCoy earlier this year. Delon Thurston, a massage therapist, is one of those suing. She says she was driving home from work last October when a Vallejo police officer pulled her over for allegedly making “an abrupt left turn” and then along with another officer “dragged” her out of her car and threatened her with a Taser. The officers then forcibly searched her body, touching her breasts and genitals, she alleges “I honestly felt like it was a Sandra Bland moment,” Thurston said, referring to the 28-year-old black woman who died of apparent suicide in a Texas jail cell after being arrested during a traffic stop in 2015. “I didn’t know what was going to happen to me and I had to breathe all the way through it and be antagonized all the way to the station and I never got read my rights as they were pushing my face to the cement.” Another *alleged* victim of police misconduct, Deyana Jenkins, claims she was pulled over at gunpoint for no reason and shocked with a taser before being arrested or read her rights. Adrian Burrell had his head slammed against a wooden post after he refused to stop recording officers holding his cousin at gunpoint. This is the type of s#!t that makes us hate and fear the police. We can only hope that these lawsuits yield results that hold cops accountable.

Source: screen gems / Screen Gems When it comes to the complex relationship between law enforcement and Black people , the discomfort and disconnect seemed to heighten over the last ten years with technology being so advanced. Thanks to cell phones, the world gets to a real-live police brutality incident go down right before their eyes— causing an even deeper distance between those in Blue and folks with Black skin. But what if you happen to be both; Black And Blue . Deon Taylor ‘s new action flick tells the story of just that. Rookie cop, played by Oscar nominated actress Naomie Harris , inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realizing that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her ( Tyrese Gibson ) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage. I visited the set of the the thriller flick on day 28 of their 30th day of shooting and watched on as they filmed one of the more emotionally intense scenes of the film. Naomi’s character visits her mother’s grave accompanied by an old childhood friend (Tyrese) as she enlists his help to bust the corrupt officers. Their fellow cast members Mike Colter , Frank Grillo and Beau Knapp were also on set filming on that misty, New Orleans afternoon in Lafayette Cemetery. I caught up with director Taylor, Harris and Tyrese and more of the cast as they dished on all things Black and Blue. And one thing that every actor in the film had in common is their love and respect for their director, Deon. When asked what drew him to this particular film, Mr. Taylor shared with the panel of journalists: “I’m an independent filmmaker first. I’ve been doing this by myself for so long that I didn’t want to do anything studio wise. But when this script came to me, I just went crazy because I had never seen a film based around a female, Black police officer. And that’s just everything that I wanted to do.” On preparing for her role as a police office, Naomi told us: “I was able to draw on a lot of stuff that I did before because when I did Miami Vice, I did lots of undercover work, so I was out with the police and doing raids–I actually did a real drug sting. It was really exciting and terrifying.” Tyrese added that taking on such a gritty role in Black and Blue definitely challenged him as an actor. “First thing was me and Deon go back like six years. So once I got that call, my ears literally lit up. And on that call. I was saying to Deon, when you’re apart of these big franchised, it’s a gift and sometimes can work against you. Because these dark, dramatic roles that really require you to go there and peel back the layers — you get overlooked as an actor. They’ll say ‘Oh, he’s that guy from that thing.’ So the seriousness of a Naomi got me in the game of top. I was ready to make that statement.” As we chatted with the entire cast during their break, Deon Taylor opened up about his own personal relationship with law enforcement as a Black man, saying: “I’ve been affected by police officers in many different ways. From the patrolling, when I was younger, in terms of keeping people in certain areas and having a negative reaction to that in the Chicago area, and with how people police you, vs now, living in a different [area] and seeing how the police act there. You have to be a realist and understand, ok they patrol this way here, and they patrol that way there.” “That’s one of the biggest themes in the film — Alycia being from the inner city, coming back to the inner city as a cop and how people look at her and what they say to her. And she has to find out the hard way that people don’t view her as a black female cop. They view her as a cop. She’s trying to make a breakthrough. There are so many different experiences and what we try to actually do is push all of that into one film. The movie takes a complete turn based on the fact that when she’s in trouble, someone from the neighborhood helps her and breaks code. And everything that we’re taught not to do, this character does.” With everything going on in the world today regarding law enforcement, this film is a must see. The highly anticipated Screen Gems flick is in theaters nationwide October 25th.

B yron Lee Williams was on riding his bicycle in Las Vegas, Nevada when he was stopped by police. Less than an hour later, he was dead and his family is now speaking out. See Also: Lifetime Blames R. Kelly For Gun Threats That Stopped Premiere Of Docuseries About Women Accusing The Singer On Sept. 5, around 6 a.m., Williams was riding his bike that allegedly didn’t have a safety light. According KTNV , when two officers, Benjamin Vazquez, 27, and Officer Patrick Campbell, 28, tried to stop him, he took off and eventually began running on foot. The officers were caught him and told Williams to get on the ground. While being cuffed, Williams told the officers he couldn’t breathe. The Las Vegas Sun reports an officer was heard telling him: “Yeah, because you’re tired of (expletive) running.” Williams was allegedly straddled by one of the officers, who had his knee pinned against Williams. “Pressure on your butt, that’s all,” said one of the officers. Williams continues to complain about not being able to breathe. “As they were taking him to the patrol car, Williams appeared to pass out. Officers called for assistance and the Las Vegas fire department arrived several minutes later,” KTNV reports. The 50-year-old later died hospital. Williams was armed and the police claim drugs were on him. We’re watching the body camera footage showing the @LVMPD arrest of Byron Lee Williams. He later died. He ran from officers near Bonanza & MLK on Thursday before surrendering. Source: Justin Sullivan / Getty McDonald’s Employee Punches A Customer Over Some Cold Fries An employee at a McDonald’s in New Orleans allegedly attacked one of their customers who complained about a cold order of fries. The customer was on vacation with his wife in Louisiana last week when he complained to the McDonald’s staff that his order of fries was cold. He admitted to news station 4WWL that he was abrasive to the staff, but he didn’t expect the incident to evolve into actual physical violence. The altercation was caught on camera and shows the customer holding his food before an angry employee charges at him. “You gonna get out? Get out!” the employee yelled at the patron in the video. One of his co-workers intervened and pulled the employee away, but the fight escalated when the customer follows him. That’s when the employee put his hands around the customer’s neck and punched him in the head. According to reports from NOLA.com , though the police arrived on the scene–no charges were filed. But now, the customer is demanding that charges are filed against his aggressor.
