Lauren Braxton Dies; Niece of Famous Singer Was 24

Tragedy has struck the family of long-time singer Toni Braxton. Lauren Braxton, the daughter of Toni’s younger brother, Michael Conrad Braxton Jr., died yesterday as the result of a heart condition. She was 24 years old. The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in the state of Maryland confirmed this awful news to Radar Online, while Lauren’s dad did the same to TMZ. No further details related to the cause of death are available at this time. Law enforcement officials say they received a 911 call around noon on Monday — and that Lauren (who went by the nickname LoLo) was unresponsive when they arrived. She was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. “We ask that you please respect the family’s privacy in this time of sadness and loss,” the Braxton Family said in a statement this afternoon. Michael is a Maryland based singer-songwriter and is the only son of the Braxton siblings, having appeared on numerous episodes of their show, Braxton Family Values. He and Toni, 51, are the elder siblings to sisters Traci, 48, Towanda, 45, Trina, 44, and Tamar, 42. Following the heart-shattering news, Trina posted the above photo of Lauren to her Instagram page and wrote as a caption: “God sent me another angel! Rest in Heaven Lauren ‘LoLo’ Braxton.” Traci has also chimed in on the awful development as follows: LoLo was more than my niece, she was my daughter; and I, my son and husband are truly heartbroken over her passing. According to the witness cited in the official police report, she had been having a conversation with Lauren in a kitchen prior to heading upstairs for about 10 minutes. When she returned, she found Lauren on the floor and called the authorities. Simply terrible all around, especially in light of another tragedy suffered by the family just a few months ago. Last December, Trina Braxton’s ex-husband, Gabe Solis, died of cancer in Texas at age 43. Friends, family members and followed have flooded Lauren’s Instagram page – which frequently featured her famous loved ones – to post condolences in her comments in the wake of her death. Braxton Family Values is currently in its sixth season and airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on We TV. Lauren would have turned 25 years old on May 9. Lauren Braxton rest in peace. Source: Hal Bergmann Photography / Getty Nigel Shelby Commits Suicide Over Bullying Another teen has unfortunately taken their own life over bullying. 15-year-old Nigel Shelby of Huntsville Alabama’s Huntsville High School died by suicide April 18 after he was reportedly bullied for being gay. The news was first spread on Facebook by Rocket City Pride, a local LGBTQ+ Pride group. “We are heartbroken over the death of Nigel Shelby, a 15-year-old freshman at Huntsville High School,” said Rocket City Pride in a statement. “Nigel took his life because he was bullied for being gay. There are no words that can be said to make sense of this devastating news.” Rockey City Pride’s GoFundMe for Nigel’s mother had a goal of $10,000. As of now, the donations are over $15,000. Huntsville City Schools Superintendent Christie Finley also addressed Nigel’s suicide at a school board meeting and implored people to be kind and use the “Golden Rule” when dealing with each other . “I want to take a brief moment to speak about the recent loss of a Huntsville high school student, Nigel Shelby,” she said. “I spent most of the weekend really processing this loss and I’m sure many of you have as well. And we will for a while to come. It’s clear to me that the simple word of the golden rule has really become more difficult for many to understand and to practice and it is time as a society to value, respect and uplift one another.” Nigel’s suicide comes after 9-year-old McKenzie Adams of Alabama killed herself after racist bulliyng and after 10-year-old Seven Bridges committed suicide because he was bullied over his colostomy bag. We are praying for the families of these children who cut their own lives far too short.

Mya-Lecia Naylor, Popular British Actress, Dead at 16

Devastating news today out of the entertainment industry: Mya-Lecia Naylor, a British actress best known for her roles on the programs Almost Never and Millie Inbetween, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. She was 16 years old. The tragedy was confirmed late Wednesday evening by CBBC, which released the following statement: We are so sorry to have to tell you that Mya-Lecia, who you will know from ‘Mille Inbetween’ and ‘Almost Never’, has very sadly died. Mya-Lecia was a much loved part of the BBC Children’s family, and a hugely talented actress, singer and dancer. We will miss her enormously and we are sure that you will want to join us in sending all our love to her family and friends. It remains unclear at this time just what caused the death of this rising British star. In a statement of her own to E! News, Alice Webb, Director at BBC Childrens said the following: “We are distraught and so terribly sad to hear the news about Mya. She has shone so brightly on our screens, both in Millie Inbetween and Almost Never, and it’s unthinkable that she won’t be part of our journey going forward. “She was hugely popular with our audience, a very talented actress, dancer and singer, and a real role model for her young fans.” All we can verify at the moment, courtesy of Naylor’s agents, A&J Management, is that the young actress collapsed prior to her passing. Aside from her acting credits, Naylor was an aspiring model and singer. She got her start as a toddler on the beloved British sitcom Absolutely Fabulous. From there, Mya-Lecia booked roles in television movies and miniseries before landing her biggest role on the CBBC series Millie Inbetween. Following four years on the show, she transitioned over to the CBBC comedy/drama Almost Never. The official Instagram account for this latter series also mourned Naylor’s death last night, sharing the photo below along with a heartfelt statement that reads: Our thoughts are with Mya-Lecia’s family, friends and everyone that loved her at this very sad time. RIP Mya-Lecia. Many other tributes have also been posted online. For example, this is what I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here star Emily Atack, who previously worked with Naylor, wrote: She was a beautiful and talented girl. A complete joy to be around on the set of Almost Never. Sending all my love to her family & friends. Rest in peace beautiful girl. Writer Matt Leys, who worked on Millie Inbetween with Naylor, referred to the news as “absolutely heartbreaking” on Twitter and added: “Goodbye our brilliant, funny, lovely Fran. You were a miracle. Watching the cast of Millie Inbetween grow with their characters, inform them, let us write it around them, has been an absolute joy. This is such awful, devastating news.” As you can see here, he also tried to comfort fans who were stunned and saddened over the news: In an April interview with TresA Magazine, the late actress noted that she had “some amazing projects” on the horizon. Just two weeks after he was murdered at his Marathon clothing store, Nipsey Hussle’s being remembered at a local school. Administrators at Crete Academy Charter school revealed a HUGE mural painted across their basketball court of the late rapper. Crete Academy is located in Crenshaw and just blocks away from where Nipsey was gunned down. “For our kids to look at Nipsey and see to see everything he’s done, what he was able to accomplish and how much he gave back to the community is huge for them…because he looks like them,” said Crete Academy Founder Hattie Mitchell to CBS LA. “He grew up where they grew up. He’s the epitome of everything that they want to be and aspire to be.” The mural was done by artist Gustavo Zermeno and the idea of Venice Basketball League CEO Nick Ansom. Ansom and the rapper were in talks about developing a community project before his passing. Nipsey’s family the Asghedons were in attendance for the unveiling. According to reports , Cognito sat down on a stool while breathing heavily, before falling silent for five minutes, and the crowd at the The Attic bar in Bicester thought it was a joke, so they continued to laugh. Veteran stand-up comedian Ian Cognito has died on-stage – literally. The audience thought it was part of the act. Died with his boots on. That’s commitment to comedy. Sources say that Cognito had not been feeling well before the gig started, but insisted on going on stage anyway. Fans of the late comic took to social to express their condolences. I’d heard so many stories before I met him. I got to a gig & the promoter said “Ian’s here & is in the dressing room”. I didn’t know which Ian he meant, opened the door & a man was pissing in the sink and smiling at me. According to the Gainesville Sun , 25-year-old Ezekiel Luke Hicks is the primary suspect in the murder of a generous man named Craig Arttez Brewer. The 41-year-old Brewer was shot to death inside a Waffle House early Sunday morning where he was paying for customers’ food and giving out $20 bills. How could this have possibly gone left you ask? Welp… Brewer’s generosity didn’t extend to one woman in particular who became angry that she wasn’t the beneficiary of a random act of kindness. An argument ensued and Hicks stepped in to confront Brewer. After yet another argument, Hicks left the restaurant to get a gun, the two men caught yet ANOTHER fade prior to Hicks shooting Brewer multiple times including once in the head. Says sheriff’s Lt. Brett Rhodenizer: “The evidence in the case is fairly straightforward. We’re working with the state attorney. It’s pretty obvious. We have on video what happened,” Rhodenizer said. “There was at least one gunshot to the head but the medical examiner will offer authoritative information on that. “What we’re trying to find out in the days ahead is if this was truly a verbal argument that turned into a murder case or if there is something missing there.” Hicks has been charged with first degree murder. Only in bum a$$ Florida. SMH.

Nipsy Hussle Murder Suspect Has A History Of Being Gun Crazy (Exclusive)

Source: LAPD / LAPD Eric Holder Being Held Without Bail For Nipsy Hussle Slaying The man who police said murdered Nipsy Hussle in cold blood over the weekend has a history of being fascinated with firearms. Eric Holder served time in 2012 for possessing an illegal loaded gun near LAX, BOSSIP has learned. Cops arrested Holder in April of that year for carrying a concealed, loaded firearm in a vehicle or public place. He pled no contest but was later found guilty of carrying the gun. A judge sentenced him to six months in the county jail, followed by three years of probation, according to court records obtained by BOSSIP. Holder also has had prior brushes with the law for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license, according to court docs. In 2015, a judge nearly threw him back in the slammer for violating the terms of his probation for the gun charge, court records show. But after that, he managed to keep out of trouble until this latest arrest. The police arrested the 29-year-old Holder Tuesday afternoon in the LA suburb of Bellflower. He’s being held in the County Jail without bail.
