Troubled country singer Mindy McCready was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on Sunday afternoon. The police were called to her Arkansas home and found McCready’s, 37, body on the front porch. Dateline NBC correspondent Andrea Canning tweeted, “Just got a call from Mindy McCready’s best friend that she shot and killed herself this evening. My heart breaks for her two boys. RIP.” Despite a popular music career in the 90s, lately McCready has been making headlines after her record producer boyfriend David Wilson also died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound last month. McCready entered rehab after Wilson’s death and has three previous suicide attempts. Wilson and McCready had a son Zayne together and McCready has son Zander from a previous relationship. A source has told TMZ that McCready shot her dog as well. At this time McCready’s family has yet to release an official statement. Our prayers are with her loved ones.

Donna Summer’s funeral in Tennessee has brought together musical legends from across the world, including famed record producer David Foster. In addition to Summer, he worked with Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees and many other big name acts from the 1970s to the present day. Giorgio Moroder is also present at the funeral, having produced several disco hits with Summer, including “Love to Love You Baby” and “I Feel Love.” Donna Summer died last week at the age of 63. The late singer’s entire family is also at the ceremony, a private event taking place in Nashville (private, though up to 1,000 people are attending). The Queen of Disco will be greatly missed.
