He’s taken to social media to blame everyone else for the demise of his marriage, told the world how much he misses her and even recently made a video pleading her to come back and let him spend the holidays with his family. But on Saturday night, he took his public display of nonsense to an entirely new level. During her performance at Los Angeles’ Rolling Loud Festival, the Migos rapper decided to hijack Cardi B during her performance to ask for forgiveness. With a loud and tacky flower arrangement that read “TAKE ME BACK CARDI,” Offset told his wife, “I just want to tell you I’m sorry. You’re my best friend in the world. What Offset did was manipulative, toxic and downright abusive. Cardi B has made it clear that she no longer wants to be with this man, has “fallen out of love” with him and wants to move on with her life. For folks with common sense, this is understandable given that Offset has cheated on her multiple times during the course of their relationship. But Offset isn’t trying to hear that. He refuses to leave her alone and learn from his mistakes. So, he took it upon himself to steal her moment, which was monumental given that Cardi was the first female headliner in Rolling Loud’s 3-year-history. He decided that his needs trumped her feelings, personal space and spotlight. So he came to her job uninvited, ambushing and coercing her in front of thousands of people, thinking she would crumble under the pressure of not wanting to bruise a Black man’s ego in public and essentially take him back. If this isn’t the definition of toxic masculinity, I don’t know what is. Sadly, he didn’t do this all by himself. For the complicit folks at Rolling Loud who knew about this before hand—and even bragged about it on Twitter—and the people close to Cardi who were in on the stunt and didn’t tell her ahead of time, they all need their asses beat too. This did not have to happen in public. Be clear: My critique isn’t about me stanning. I’ve never been a Cardi B fan—I’m still confused at all her Grammy nominations and am often turned off by her online and in-person behavior , especially that NYFW nonsense with Nicki Minaj a few months back. Not to mention, her colorism and past homophobic and transphobic remarks. But what I do appreciate is her come-up story, her resilience and watching her grow as a woman, a rapper and a mother. I want Cardi to be happy, successful and revel in the fact that she knows her worth. But perhaps, that’s the problem. Perhaps that’s why philandering goons like T.I. , The Game , Kirk Frost and 50 Cent continue to berate the 26-year-old for “breaking up her family,” while downplaying the severity that having sex with other women can have on a marriage. Could you imagine if Cardi B would have cheated on Offset? These same “men” would never be fighting this hard for this relationship to work. But I digress. See, folks hate when Black women stick up for themselves, have standards and are empowered in their decisions. In addition, folks routinely shame Black women who refuse to allow their relationships to be solely based on pain, one-sided sacrifice, trauma and infidelity. It literally makes folks’ blood boil to see Black women unbossed, unbothered and happy on their own terms—just ask Ciara . In the end, if Cardi takes Offset back, that’s her own business and I promise not to judge. And while she has asked for folks to not “bash him,” it’s important that we continue to hold this man—and other Black men like him— accountable, an act that too often feels like a rarity instead of the norm. It’s also important that we listen to Black women and remind them that despite what the world may tell them, they are the experts of their own lives and know what’s best for them and their families. Finally, if anything, it’s important for us to use Offset’s behavior as a teachable moment to educate brothas on why this is unacceptable, what healthy relationships and boundaries actually look like, and why Black women are not garbage bags to dump your trashy trifling baggage into. We’re tired of carrying that load, and frankly, we’re entitled to so much better. On Wednesday, we reported that 90 Day Fiance star Larissa Dos Santos Lima is not going to prison for domestic battery . But that doesn’t mean that things are all good between her and her husband, Colt Johnson. In the wee hours of Thursday morning, Larissa accused Colt of continuing to flirt with other women. And she brought out the receipts. “I’m taking a break of internet,” Larissa writes in a now-deleted Instagram post before sunrise on Thursday. “Truly hurt me,” she explains. “Seen my husband flirting online.” (English is not Larissa’s native language, but her meaning is clear — she find it emotionally hurtful when Coltee allegedly flirts) “I’ll be here answering my messages,” Larissa announces. Her caption was beside a wedding photo in which Deb, her mother in law, has been very conspicuously cropped out. The post is no longer with us, but you can see it here: Early this morning, I took a screenshot of this post just in case it was deleted — which seemed pretty likely at the time. “My dress cost 150 by goodwill,” she shares. She explains that she is, contrary to some of her statements on 90 Day Fiance , just fine with modest living. “I’m not a gold digger,” Larissa insists. As far as being a good wife, Larissa writes: “I always cleaned his house took care of him.” (Can we just say that no spouse should be doing all of the housework? If you want to do zero housework, hire someone to clean) “I’m good,” Larissa writes. “i just want to breathe.” It sounds like she feels like her relationship problems are suffocating at times. “I can’t keeping posting my personal life online,” she says. “I just wished that he woke up,” she concludes. “And these women stop to message him.” Maybe it would have been better if Colt and Larissa had spoken to each other about this before anyone posted anything on social media. That was not all that Larissa had to say on social media. She also sent out a screencap of where she called out a woman who has allegedly been sending flirtatious images to Colt. That’s pretty confrontational — and also not proof that Colt has been disloyal to Larissa. (She kind of shot her credibility in the foot when she flipped out on “attention whore” Colt for complimenting a woman’s glasses ) “Colt likes the women attention that he is getting,” Larissa accused in an Instagram comment. “Nobody believe when I said he still flirting online,” she lamented. “Last night,” Larissa claimed. “I found two pictures of one girl that he was texting.” She then explained how she had found them through his Dropbox. (Any kind of synced system for photos or other media has become a very common way for spouses to uncover cheating) “It’s sad because, when he was alone, I was there for him,” Larissa wrote. “Now he doesn’t care anymore,” she says. “Because he has options.” “Now,” Larissa claims. “He thinks that he can get something better.” “And now that I was used to ‘living with mother in law experience,'” she continues. “He wants someone new that he will handle better,” Larissa concludes. It looks like there’s trouble in this marriage. Does the deletion of her earlier post mean that all is good? Or are these two prepared to split? Only time will tell. Briana DeJesus has a message for Javi Marroquin on the occasion of her ex-boyfriend becoming a father for the second time. But it isn’t exactly congratulatory. A day after Javi and Lauren Comeau welcomed a baby boy into the world, DeJesus took to Twitter and strongly accused Marroquin of cheating on her. Sort of a strange reaction, given the blessed development for the former Teen Mom 2 cast member? Yes, but Briana thinks she has new proof that Javi stepped out on her with Comeau earlier this year. You see, Javi and Lauren dated for a couple months in the summer of 2017. After they split, Marroquin started getting down and dirty with DeJesus, a relatively new star on the aforementioned MTV hit. And then not long after they split, Javi returned to Comeau’s bed. But DeJesus now says on Twitter that the relationships overlapped. To wit: Fans will likely remember that Briana traveled down to Miami for some plastic surgery on the date she cites above. Her and Javi were very much on the outs at the time, but he showed up in Florida to support her, making it seem as if he wanted things to work out between the D-Listers. So now we can do some math: Comeau gave birth on November 15. She was due on December 1, however, which is 10 months after Javi and Briana were in Miami together, attempting to work things out. According to DeJesus, this means Javi and Lauren were clearly back in touch, if not already having sex again, considering how soon she got knocked up after this Florida trip. And according to DeJesus, this is evidence that Marroquin’s feelings for her were totally fake, as you can see by her follow-up Tweet before: Again, there does seem to be a bit of time in between Marroquin and DeJesus’ break-up here. Moreover, the status of Javi and Briana during the infamous Florida vacation remains unknown. Were they really, truly, 100% together? We may never know, but Javi, at worst, wasted VERY little time in moving on from DeJesus. But this doesn’t exactly come as a surprise to anyone who has followed the rocky journey of Briana, Javi and even Kailyn Lowry. We’re pretty sure Marroquin was doing all THREE women at one point . Lowry, though, did send an actual note of “Congrats” to Comeau and Marroquin after their unnamed son was born this week. Those two, who share a son of their own, are on solid enough terms these days. “It’s been amazing,” Marroquin told Radar Online about becoming a dad once again, adding: “I even shed some tears. For those that don’t know, I’m not an emotional person anymore at all and just seeing my son come out really had me in my feelings.” That’s great to hear. Still, will rumors of Javi being disloyal to Comeau ever go away? Will we ever get to experience a time in which Chris Brown isn’t creepy and sketchy and awful? It’s not very likely, but man, it sure sounds nice. Unfortunately, Chris has been awful for years and years and years at this point. And you know what they say about teaching an old dog new tricks. (It seems weird that the only tricks this dog was ever taught were a few cool dance moves and how to be violent and scary, but whatever.) Chris became famous in 2005 when he released his debut album, and a few years later in 2009, he was arrested for beating Rihanna . Ever since then, things have been falling apart. He’s gotten in trouble several times for assault and destroying property — you know, just overly aggressive douchebag things. His longtime girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, has said that he abused her and threatened to kill her . She has a restraining order against him now. Most recently, he was arrested in July for felony battery after punching a photographer in a club. Chris also does this really terrible thing, and although it isn’t illegal, it is truly terrifying. He’s just kind of been fixated on Rihanna ever since 2009 — you’ve noticed it, right? He’s dropped her name in countless interviews, even though he really should know better, or at least have people around him who know better and could clue him in. He leaves inappropriately flirty comments on her Instagram posts, there’s always a report floating around about how he wants her back. And, wouldn’t you know it, we have a report just like that to discuss right now! Brace yourself, because this is spookier than anything else you’re going to see today. OK, so Rihanna posed for this photo to promote the new Savage x Fenty collection: She looks amazing, right? Of course she does, this is Rihanna we’re talking about. And as a source close to Chris explained to Hollywood Life, the photo made him feel some feelings. “Rihanna’s new lingerie picture is straight torture for Chris,” began the source, “and not just because she’s looking so damn sexy.” Yeah, it’s gross already — who could have possibly anticipated this?! It gets worse, too! “With her white lingerie and veil it makes him imagine her looking like that on her wedding night and it kills him that it may not be with him,” the source revealed. “He still has fantasies that fate will bring them back together, when the time is right and they will have that wedding night.” The delusions don’t stop there. Last we heard, Rihanna was dating Hassan Jameel , but they haven’t been seen together in a few months. And so “the fact that Rihanna isn’t really claiming any man makes Chris think that she might still be hung up on him too.” There’s just a tiny little smidge of real talk at the end though, thank goodness. The insider said that “The way things are right now between them it’s not something he’s fully counting on.” This is just disturbing, isn’t it? Chris was with Rihanna almost ten years ago. Ten. Years. Next February it’ll be a decade since he assaulted her. And yes, they got back together for a little while about six years ago, but still, six years is a lot of years, too. Why would he think that there’s even the slightest chance that she’ll marry him? And while we’re asking questions, why does he even still have a career? Honestly, Chris needs to just go away, forever. No Rihanna wedding, no new music, no dumb interviews that try to find redeeming qualities in him.
