Lyndie Greenwood Vacations In Cabo With Boyfriend Ben Jamieson Spring Break is upon us and it appears that even the Hollywood set are taking their breaks! Celebrating the action-packed Season Four finale of “Sleepy Hollow,” actress Lyndie Greenwood spent a romantic week in the luxurious Imperial Suite at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos. Lyndie cozied up to her boyfriend Ben Jamieson in their two-bedroom villa with it’s own pool, backyard, firepit and private beach. They even enjoyed a special dinner prepared by the resort’s Executive Chef Gerardo Rivera from the comfort of their villa’s firepit. Muy romántico! The lovebirds went snorkeling at the resort and engaged in some off-site fun with Wild Canyon Adventure, where they zip-lined, bungee jumped, went ATV riding, and rode Wild Cabo’s Buccaneer Queen pirate ship around the bay. The pair also partied in Cabo San Lucas at hotspots Crush Nightspot and the Havana Club. Photo Credit: Enrique Morales
Chuck Berry, the long-time musician who many credit with popularizing the entire genre of rock ‘n roll, died Saturday in Missouri, the St. Charles County police has confirmed. He was 90 years old. “St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency on Buckner Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. today (Saturday, March 18),” the department said via statement this afternoon. The statement continued as follows: “Inside the home, first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques. Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m. “The St. Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry.” Concludes the post, which was written on Facebook: “The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement.” The singing, guitar playing and general showmanship of Berry have often been credited as having enormous influence on Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys, among other legends. The latter group’s “Surfin’ USA,” for example, so overly copied Berry’s song “Sweet Little Sixteen” that the rock pioneer complained and was eventually given a co-writing credit on the track. Berry performed for over seven decades. His best known hits likely remain Roll Over Beethoven, My Ding-a-Ling, Maybelline (his first real hit, released in 1955) and Johnny B. Goode. The latter was immortalized by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future, who basically emulated Berry’s moves on stage in that memorable movie. The veteran musician received a lifetime achievement Grammy Award in 1984 and was among the first inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. By the late 1970s, after years of success in the spotlight, Berry career took a nosedive. In 1979, was found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to four months in prison. However, he remained a worshiped figure by the music icons he had inspired. When Keith Richards inducted Berry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, saying at the time that he “lifted every lick” that Berry ever played for himself. Upon learning of his death, motown group The Jacksons Tweeted the following: “Chuck Berry merged blues & swing into the phenomenon of early rock’n’roll. In music, he cast one of the longest shadows. Thank You Chuck.” Added Bruce Springsteen: “Chuck Berry was rock’s greatest practitioner, guitarist, and the greatest pure rock ‘n’ roll writer who ever lived. “This is a tremendous loss of a giant for the ages.” Expect many more tributes to follow. Berry had announced in October that he would actually release a new studio album some time in 2017. We send our condolences to those who knew Chuck Berry best. What a legend. May he rest in peace. Kat Graham took quite a few trips as Bonnie Bennett on The Vampire Diaries. Over the course of eight seasons, the character died multiple times, ended up on The Other Side, visited the show’s version of heaven and got involved in many dangerous storylines. But those were nothing compared to the actual trip this actress allegedly suffered in Palm Springs last month. According to TMZ, Graham was visiting Two Bunch Palms Resort & Spa near the aforementioned town when she allegedly began throwing up and passed out on a lawn. Insiders at the resort tell the typically reliable celebrity gossip website that the star didn’t drink too much alcohol or get victimized by a case of food poisoning. Instead, she ate a cannabis brownie earlier in the day. In response, Graham ran out of the resort’s restaurant shortly afterwards, telling those around her that she didn’t feel well and needed to go to the hospital. She then vomited… passed out… woke up … and was transported to a hospital via ambulance after someone called 911. TMZ has posted photos of Graham lying on the grass, clearly in an effed up state, both physically and mentally. The venue’s report says the actress/singer acted extremely paranoid throughout this incident, anxious and seeing things. No word from Graham or any of her reps yet regarding what happened last month. We just hope she’s okay. We watched every episode of The Vampire Diaries from the premiere and we always enormous fans of the star. She announced early last year that she would depart The Vampire Diaries after Season 8, which ended up becoming the show’s swan song. Its series finale aired last Friday, March 10. “I learned a lot about what kind of actor I wanted to be,” Graham told Entertainment Weekly of The CW hit, adding: “Work always comes first as an actor. I think a lot of young girls see actresses and they think of red carpets and they think of Us Weekly and they don’t really think about the breaking down of a script and what that requires and what you would need to pull it off. “I learned about teamwork and about communication and about standing up for yourself. “I learned about poise and dignity, and I learned about what it means to be an African-American in television and what that requires in terms of what kind of position you take for yourself and how you define your own reality in a world that is still finding its footing, to say the least.” She concluded this interview, which was given in February, as follows: “Overall, I am appreciative of the opportunity that I got to play different levels and different emotions for this character. I’m grateful for the platform I got.” View Slideshow: The Vampire Diaries Finale: 13 Shockers! The drowning of 2-year-old Lane Graves by an alligator at Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort still haunts members of the public two months later. On the evening of June 14th, Graves was wading in the shallow waters of Seven Seas Lagoon, Disney’s man-made lake when an alligator snatched and dragged him underwater . The little boy’s body was found by divers six feet under water the next day, just 10-15 feet away from where he was attacked. Radar Online obtained a copy of the full autopsy , which rules the death as an “accident” and notes that Graves sustained fatal injuries to his “neck, scalp and skull.” Graves, whose family was enjoying a movie night on the beach, was “dressed in a pair of blue shorts” with a disposable diaper underneath, “worn with a short-sleeved T-shirt emblemized with the American flag.” The most severe injuries, according to the report, were around Graves’ head. “The right side of the scalp,” the coroner noted, revealed “a vertically-oriented laceration measuring 2.3 x 0.3 cm.” with “a maximal depth of 0.4 cm. “The skin on the left side of the hair-bearing scalp in the parietal region has two recent puncture wounds.” Graves’ skull was fractured, and the coroner found “abrasions on his eyelid, eyebrow and jaw.” He concluded that Graves “died as the result of cranio-cervical trauma and drowning.” The alligator was eventually caught and killed by authorities. Even though there is no swimming permitted in the lagoon, signs did not warn resort guests that alligators, snakes and other dangerous animals inhabited the waters. Prior to the accident, lounge chairs would be set up on the beach for people to sunbathe, and the resort also hosted movie nights, like the one the Nebraska-based Graves took part in before their son was killed. Graves’ father, Matt tried to wrestle the boy out of the jaws of the alligator, but it was too late. We continue to keep the Graves family in our thoughts.
