Recently, Mo’Nique spoke out against Netflix and claimed they only offered her $500,000 to do a comedy special, but Dave Chapelle , Chris Rock and Amy Schumer were offered more. Mo’Nique asked fans to boycott because she wasn’t going to be paid as much as the Black men as well as a White female. Follow @TheRSMS According to Madam Noire , women are still not valued the same and Black women still aren’t paid as much as White women. Recently, Octavia Spencer, a three-time Academy Award nominee and winner spoke out about how her friend and co-star Jessica Chastain fought for her. Chastain wanted Spencer to be apart in a moving she is producing and took action so that they both could be paid the same. Spencer told this story during a panel at Sundance for “Women Breaking Barriers.” As she kept telling more of the story she began to tear up. Spencer said, “These are happy tears! I love that woman because she’s walking the walk and she’s actually talking the talk. She said, Octavia, we’re going to get you paid on this film. I said, ‘I would love to do your film, but here’s the thing, I’m going to have to get paid.’ She said, ‘Of course! You and I are going to be tied together. We’re going to be favored nations and we’re going to make the same thing. And you’re going to make that amount.” The movie they are referring to is “Shadow and Act,” which is a holiday comedy. As an aspiring rapper, 22-year old Spencer Sleyon has likely been involved in many rap battles. But the young New York resident has reached viral fame thanks to a different kind of battle: The one he has engaged in often via Words with Friends… with an 81-year old named Rosalind Guttman. The latter is a resident of Florida and the Internet is going bat $hit bananas over Spencer and Rosalind finally meeting face-to-face, following over 300 installments of their online Words with Friends contests. Ready to get to know the people at the center of this most unlikely of friendships? Scroll down to learn their inspiring story… 1. Say Hi to Roz and Spencer The 22-year oldand 81-year old started talking in earnest after Roz used the word “Phat” while playing Words with Friends, which is essentially the same as Scrabble and which enables one to do battle against folks one knows… or against total strangers. 2. A Phat Friendship “I was like, yo, how do you know that word?” Sleyon asked Roz, making the first real contact between the pair outside of the game. They soon got to talking often, while continuing to go at it on Words with Friends. 3. How Many Times Have They Played? Over 300, Spencer estimates. That’s about once every other day, starting from last summer up through this late fall. 4. Who’s Winning Overall? It’s sort of close, but Spencer does want the world to know he’s put in front at the moment. Look at those stats, though! 5. After All This Time… …. Spencer and Roz have finally met! The former touched down in Florida and, as you can see above, gave a giant hug to his online pal. 6. How Did This Happen? The meeting was up by a pastor in Manhattan who knew Spencer and learned of his unexpected friendship with Roz. “I’m all for just experiencing stuff, I was like ‘yeah,'” Sleyon said when asked if he wanted to meet Roz. “I love random occurrences, I thought it was cool I was able to befriend her.” View Slideshow

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are featured on the latest cover of Us Weekly. But the former MTV reality stars are not alone. They are joined by a certain brand new baby who is now an official part of their family: Mr. Gunner Stone!!!! Indeed, Montag gave birth to the couple’s first child on Sunday, October 1. According to a rep for the ex-Hills cast members, the precious little fella weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 19 inches in length at the time he took his first few breaths. A source at the time also said Gunner is rocking some blond hair and has a pair of blue eyes, two facts you can now verify for yourself… … because here’s your very first look at Spencer and Heidi’s baby! As for the somewhat unusual name? Pratt says it’s meant to be taken sort of literally. “He’ll probably be a pitcher, so when Gunner steps to the mound, he’s going to be gunning those throws down home plate,” Pratt explains , changing sports and adding: “If he wants to be a skier, he’s going to be gunning down those moguls. It just applies to a lot of sports.” That’s true. Not everyone names his or her offspring after a verb that applies to various athletic events… but, hey, not everyone is Spencer Pratt, either. Heidi, meanwhile, simply says Gunner was the “best fit” after a lot of “back and forth” debate regarding potential baby names . Pratt hammers home the pitching them a lot in this cover story, joking (we assume?) that one is “not a good parent if you’re not trying to get your son set up to potentially get a $250 million gig.” And he hasn’t forgotten about his feud with former co-star Lauren Conrad, either.
