Carly Rae Jepsen: Call Her Number-One!

Forget “Maybe.” You may now call Carly Rae Jepsen Queen of the Music World. That’s because the 26-year old Canadian, signed by Justin Bieber to his label just a few short months ago, has officially hit number-one on the Billboard 100, with “Call Me Maybe” overtaking Gotye’s “Somebody That You Used To Know” atop the rankings. The addictive Jepsen single has been lip dubbed by everyone from Katy Perry to the E! Fashion Police . But how can we be certain the track has broken through to every conceivable demographic? Because former Secretary of State Colin Powell actually sang it during a commercial break on CBS This Morning . We’re not kidding… Colin Powell Sings “Call Me Maybe”

Why a Saudi King Might Want the US to Attack Iran

Lawrence Wilkerson: It's not about Iran as a regional threat, it's about rival elites defending oil wealth and power. Mainstream media has been quick to highlight WikiLeaks' cable reporting a statement from King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia that the U.S. should attack Iran, because it is a danger to the region. Larry Wilkerson, the former Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, gives The Real News a series of reasons why such information requires questioning. He questions the media's willingness to treat the cables as the gospel truth, as well as pointing out that a Saudi King would have reasons beyond security to want an attack on Iran. Namely it would hinder an oil competitor and financier of groups like Hamas and Hezbollah which Saudi Arabia opposes, while also causing the price of oil to sky rocket. Lawrence Wilkerson is a retired United States Army soldier and former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell. Wilkerson is an adjunct professor at the College of William & Mary where he teaches courses on US national security. He also instructs a senior seminar in the Honors Department at the George Washington University entitled “National Security Decision Making.” added by: Vierotchka

Plastic Bottle Island

Here's the story: “Spiral Island is a name given to two floating artificial islands built by British eco-pioneer Richart “Rishi” Sowa. Sowa is a musician, artist, and carpenter. As an environmentalist, he believes in recycling and low-impact living. A book about Sowa’s journey in building the original island and his philosophies, Spiralogically Speaking, written by the German author Tanja Samed with Sowa, is due to be released in 2008. Spiral Island has been featured in a number of newspapers and TV documentaries around the world, including in Japan and South Korea, and was seen in an episode of the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! television program.” http://www.weirdpalace.com/plastic-bottle-island/ -Felipe added by: donf3lipe

Colin Powell: Illegal immigrants are what’s keeping this country’s lifeblood moving forward

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell says illegal immigrants do essential work in the U.S. and that he has firsthand knowledge of that — because they fix his house. A moderate Republican, Powell urged his party on Sunday to support immigration generally because those who come from abroad are, in his words, “what's keeping this country's lifeblood moving forward.” Powell said a path to legal status should be offered to illegal immigrants because they do work that needs to get done. At his own house, he said on NBC's “Meet the Press,” illegal immigrants are always around when he needs work done. He did not specify whether he hired them directly or they showed up with contractors. added by: Replicant

Cami Secret Parody (Boob Apron)

OK I am 0 for 3 in this group. 1 was pulled because i did not realize the girl went completely naked at the end. The other 2 did not even show a hint of nip. Yeah I still have not got over it. Plus certain leaders of the group ignored my queries… (i am looking at you Delia) Lets see if this one stays up or Admin pulls it without notifying me. added by: onemalefla
