Officer Amber Guyger was terminated, Monday, September 24, by Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall for “engaging in adverse conduct” when she was charged with manslaughter. pic.twitter.com/Bvt4ixHGsl — Dallas Police Dept (@DallasPD) September 24, 2018 The news comes after Chief Hall said she wouldn’t fire Guyger “yet” and continued to keep her on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. “As an employer, DPD can compel Officer Guyger to provide a statement during a DPD administrative investigation and those statements given to DPD could potentially compromise the criminal investigation,” Hall said in a written statement. No word yet on when Guyger will be tried for gunning down Botham Jean September 6 in his apartment—but this is a well overdue move. We’re far from satisfied however as we await a conviction.

An unidentified woman is accusing the singer of striking her several times in the face because he was jealous of her talking to one of his friends. According to the LA Times , the woman says she’s one of Trey’s long-time “friends for years”. The incident reportedly popped off early last Saturday morning at a home the singer rented for the weekend in the Hollywood Hills. A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman confirmed detectives are investigating a domestic violence incident involving the singer over the weekend in the Hollywood Hills. The alleged victim is now being repped by attorney Lisa Bloom and she’s describing Trey’s behavior that night like he was violent and out of control. “He called her names, choked her and repeatedly punched her in the face. Several people were present and no one helped her,” the statement read. “When she took out her phone to call an Uber to get out of there, he threw her phone off a cliff to prevent her from leaving. She took out a second phone and he threw that off the cliff as well.” Dang, he allegedly through BOTH her phones off a cliff??? Michael Slager Sentenced For Walter Scott Shooting The ex-cop who gunned down unarmed Walter Scott as he ran away has been handed a hefty sentence. Michael Slager , whose trial was initially deadlocked after a single juror “could not and would not reach a decision”, has been sentenced to 20 years for Scott’s murder. Slager pleaded guilty to violating Scott’s civil rights when he shot and killed him in 2015. Federal prosecutors were seeking a life sentence for Slager who they charged with second-degree murder. His lawyers, however, argued that he should face voluntary manslaughter. While he for DAMN SURE should’ve gotten life, it’s incredible to see a cop face some kind of justice. But the Academy Award -winning artist has decided to indulge his other passion – cooking – with a foray into the restaurant biz. Paul said he has partnered with other celebs to open “Fernando’s Hideout” in Beverly Hills early next year. And the avid cook said don’t be surprised if you see him in the place manning the grills himself. “I gotta put some South in yo’ mouth,” Paul joked. But not before he releases his latest body of work, “Underground Vol. 17,” an album he said is a throwback to the crunk sound he and his bandmates in Three 6 Mafia made in the early 2000s. “I went back to the old school,” DJ Paul told BOSSIP. “I brought out my SB 1200 (drum machine) from the early 90s. It’s the old school sound. I brought out my floppy disk! Scout Schultz, an intersex person and the President of the Pride Alliance student group, was shot in the heart Saturday night in full view of students in their dorms. Video has surfaced of the incident and it shows Schultz, 21, in a parking lot telling the police to “shoot them.” Investigators report that they were called after a “person with a knife and a gun” was reportedly spotted on campus. In the video, Schultz is not seen holding a gun but there are reports that they had a pocket knife with the blade tucked in. There were reportedly four officers surrounding Schultz during the incident and they insisted that they dropped the knife. “Come on man, let’s drop the knife,” an officer is heard saying. “Nobody wants to hurt you, man.” Schultz was shot after they started advancing towards police. Schultz’ mother Lynne Schultz recently spoke with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and asked why officers didn’t use non-lethal force. “Why didn’t they use some nonlethal force, like pepper spray or Tasers?” said Lynne. GA Tech officials have since confirmed that their officers don’t carry stun guns. Lynne Schultz also told the AJC that Scout suffered from depression and had attempted suicide two years ago. She and several of Scout’s classmates are now looking for answers. This case is so crazy and we’re sure there are SEVERAL more developments to come. We’ll keep you posted as they become available.

Back in July 2016 we reported that Houston teen Antonio Armstrong Jr. fatally shot his father Antonio Armstrong, a former Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers linebacker, and his mother Dawn Armstrong while they slept in the family’s home. Now Antonio a.k.a. A.J. Armstrong has appeared before a judge who agreed with the prosecution’s suggestion that he be tried as an adult. According to ABC 13 , A.J. showed emotion in court for the first time this week when prosecutors displayed pictures of his parents while they were alive for the jury. They also showed photos of the murder scene and his mother Dawn’s lifeless body laying on a blood-stained bed. As previously reported A.J. called the police himself after the shooting and alleged that an intruder murdered his parents. He left a fake note saying, “I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOU FOR SOME TIME” and alleged that he hid in the closet when shots were fired. He’s now facing capital murder charges.

Darius McCrary’s Wife Files Restraining Order Citing Abuse Darius McCrary, best known as “Eddie Winslow” from 90’s sitcom ‘Family Matters,’ is facig some serious allegations from his wife. Former Harlem Globetrotter Tammy Brawner has filed a restraining order against her husbad Darius, alleging several extreme incidents of domestic abuse and violent outbursts against not only her, but their 16-month-old daughter Zoey. According to documents obtained by TMZ , Tammy says that Darius has a drug and alcohol problem and routinely comes home inebriated and violent. The documents detail several incidents in which Darius allegedly terrorized his family , but one in particular stands out in which he threatened his own child with bodily harm. Tammy says that Darius frequently spanks their daughter and straps her arms down during meals to force her to eat. But on once incident, he actually held the baby over a pot of boiling hot water and said that he wished he had never had the child. The straw that broke the camel’s back came apparently came on February 10th, when Darius allegedly returned home in a fury and tossed picture frames and various other items around the house, narrowly missing Zoey, and struck Tammy in the head with his forearm. Yikes. Needless to say, Darius now has to stay 100 yards away from Tammy, and his visitation with their daughter is on pause while a judge looks everything over. Chicago Girl Killed In Gang Shootout Saves 6 Lives Through Organ Donation At this point there really isn’t a whole lot you can say about the gun violence in Chicago except that it needs to stop. There have been debates, panels, town halls, speeches and still, African-American blood continues to run the streets of one of America’s biggest cities. It isn’t often that we even get a glimpse of a silver lining when it comes to this subject, and we’re not even sure if this particular story can be classified as such. But we were taken aback by a Chicago-Tribune report about the violent death of 11-year-old Takiya Holmes. Takiya was sitting in a family van with her 3-year-old brother when Antwan Jones opened fire at rival gang members across the street. In typical fashion, Antwan didn’t hit a single one of his targets, yet happened to hit Takiya directly in the temple. Shortly after she was unplugged from life support on Tuesday, Takiya’s organs were donated to 6 people, one “distant” family member and 5 other strangers. Seven of Takiya’s organs were donated following her death on Tuesday — to a distant relative and to strangers she had never met. Someone received her heart, her pancreas, her lungs and her kidneys. Two recipients shared her liver. While the family’s generosity will certainly not completely ease the pain of losing their daughter in the first place, they are aware of the joy they have brought to others. “It brings us peace to know that she’s living in someone else,” said Holmes, adding that Takiya’s mother and father eagerly agreed to the transplants. “The fact that she extended another person’s life and helped give them quality of life, we can live with that.” It took a lot of courage by Takiya’s family to share their child with someone else. Minorities, and African-Americans in particular, are not quick to donate organs. Though 20 percent of all transplant recipients are African-American — the overwhelming majority of them kidney recipients — blacks make up only 16 percent of all donors, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
