Joslyn James: Following Tiger to The Masters!

Tiger Woods’ return to golf could get a lot dirtier. The embattled star’s former mistress, Joslyn James, said she plans to be at The Masters in Augusta next month when Woods makes his much anticipated comeback. His estranged wife, Elin Woods, is leaning towards not going , likely in no small part because of Woods’ dalliances with James, the details of which she keeps leaking. We doubt Joslyn being nearby will help his focus. Although he has flown her in to be with him at events before (including right after his first child’s birth ) so you never know … maybe she’s a good luck charm? Tiger Woods liked what he saw in Joslyn James, his porn star mistress. He also liked choking and spanking her, according to text messages she claims she has from him . According to reports, Joslyn is currently planning on working at a gentleman’s club just down the street from the Augusta National Golf Club. She is really out to rile him. She has certainly become one of the more visible Tiger Woods mistresses , posting frequent updated on a new site, which talks all about her relationship with him. Fortunately for Woods, Augusta National Golf Club and The Masters are well contained, with media credentials handed out months early and tickets hard to come by. Most celebrity gossip tabloids and stalkers will have to camp out down the street, in other words, or see James strip in Atlanta, where she’s also going to do a “show.” She’s not even getting paid, so why is she out to smear him so badly? James deserves “an apology from Tiger because he had to gall to cheat with other women.” Cheat with women other than her, that is.

Which Financial ETFs Benefit From Reform Uncertainty? Which Could Break Down?

Gary Gordon submits: A year-long battle over health care reform kept their ETFs in check, though not due to the proposed regulations and possible restrictions. Wall Street simply hated the uncertainty. Once the political cloud lifted, however, many began picking medical device makers , biotech and brand name pharma as market out-performers. So here comes the next wave… financial reform. Considering the systemic breakdown of 2008, the Bernie Madoff scandal and the class warfare of Wall Street versus Main Street, it’s a bit surprising that Congress waited until 2010. Nevertheless, there’s plenty of “how-to-fix-the-system” ideas on the table. Complete Story

Justin Bieber Is On The Brink Of Superstardom In ‘Diary,’ Producer Says

Special follows the teen ‘right before it got ridiculous for him,’ says Andrew Huang. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News & Docs Justin Bieber certainly knows how to make the girls scream. In his episode of “Diary,” set to air this Sunday at 7:30 p.m., it is clear that the dedication his fans have for him is similar what previous generations of girls felt for their teen idols. Andrew Huang, director and supervising Producer for the special, described the “frenzy” around Bieber as almost identical to one that surrounded Backstreet Boys and ‘NSYNC back in the day. In February, Huang shadowed Bieber for four days in Paris and New York, and he said that he feels that the show captures a very specific moment in Bieber’s career. “The thing that’s interesting about his show is we caught him right before … He’s big, yeah, but we caught him [in the transition],” Huang said. “His life is never going to be the same. He’s never going to be able to walk down the street like that. I don’t think so, because now he’s just like blown up even more, so that’s why I’m really happy we caught that time in his life right before it got ridiculous for him.” So, what will fans learn from Bieber’s “Diary”? “He’s a prankster. All he does is joke around, and he likes to have a good time,” Huang said. “He likes to keep the mood light, but at the same time, he’s young and he’s asked to do a lot. It’s a grueling schedule being an entertainer, but he wasn’t groomed like the Jonas Brothers, I don’t think. It’s all relatively new to him, so to be out there every single day, it was not easy for him. [But] he seemed pretty into it.” And while Bieber’s life is mostly all business, fans will also get to see him in his rare down time. “That particular day was like a gift for him because he hadn’t done that stuff in a while,” Huang said of the scene in which Bieber shows off his basketball skills . “That’s why he went all out. He finally got a play day, and I was impressed by his athletic abilities because he’s a little kid. He’s tiny.” After spending so much time with the kid, Huang admitted to catching a little bit of Bieber fever himself. “I didn’t get him before I started shooting with him,” he said. “But as the week progressed, I was like, ‘Whoa, this kid is no joke. He’s gifted.’ I was impressed. He’s definitely very special. … After this week, his life is never going to be the same. We caught the last glimpse of him being a star, and now he’s going to be a superstar.” Are you Justin Bieber’s biggest fan ? Enter our contest now to win an autographed hat and CD. And keep sharing your excitement in the comments below! MTV News will be rolling out previews from “The Diary of Justin Bieber” all week — don’t miss the full show, airing on MTV Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET! Related Artists Justin Bieber

Diggy Simmons ‘Made You Look’ Freestyle Grabs Kanye West’s Attention

West posted Rev Run’s son’s video on his blog: ‘I knew this kid was [going] to be fresh.’ By Steven Roberts People may be familiar with Diggy Simmons as Reverend Run’s second-oldest son on the show “Run’s House.” But Diggy has been steadily building a name for himself as an MC — and somewhat of a young fashionista — thanks in large part to his blog and his mixtape, First Flight. And anyone who was still unfamiliar with Diggy took notice when he released a video of himself freestyling over Nas’ “Made You Look” throughout the streets of New York. “It was really something that I picked up and did on my own,” Simmons explained. “I was just writing for a while and doing my thing. It started off, I was just doing joints off my Macbook on GarageBand.” “I released my first track this summer and got a cool buzz around it. I released some tracks prior to the mixtape, and then that’s when I started pushing the tape and everything. And then once I pushed it out, a lot of people were aware that I was rapping. Now, since the ‘Made You Look’ freestyle and a lot of people knowing that I signed to Atlantic, many people know [about me].” Diggy said that freestyling over a beat from one of the greatest MCs of all time was intimidating, so he knew he had to do it justice. It took him almost a month of writing to tackle the record, until one day it finally came to him. “One day I just got in the studio and blasted it, and I just went off on it. I told at least three people before I was going to do it. They were like, ‘Yo, you got to do that beat justice. That’s a Nas beat.’ I thought doing a nice viral video, that would’ve helped it too.” He hooked up with Phil Da God, a young director from Atlanta whom he met on Twitter. Phil reached out to Diggy’s manager, and when it came time to shoot the video, Phil happened to be in New York. The video begins with Diggy bopping his head around 42nd Street with cars passing by, and then it transports you to other locations around the city like the Meatpacking District and the Brooklyn Bridge. So far the video has received nearly 200,000 views and positive reception. Kanye West even posted the video on his blog, saying, “I KNEW THIS KID WAS [GOING] TO BE FRESH. I KNEW IT!” Diggy said he was honored by the compliment from West. “Man, it feels good. He’s definitely one of the best. He’s like one of the craziest wordsmiths. His verses are amazing and I look up to him in hip-hop, so that co-sign, definitely once they said it in perspective, it was like, ‘Wow.’ ” Related Artists Kanye West Nas

MtyMx with Dan Deacon, Andrew WK, and Das Racist was a lot of fun

On Wednesday, with all lodging options exhausted, I opted to head south of South by Southwest to Mexico way. I was headed to MtyMx, a festival produced by Brooklyn's Todd P, and Monterrey's Yo Garage. My passage to Monterrey was pretty smooth considering the shootout between narcotraficantes and federales that blocked the highway. I took a cab to the festival on Saturday afternoon. He had no idea where Autocinema Las Torres was. It was just passed the new WalMart, and across the street from the favelas. I walked up to general admission to pickup my ticket. She asked me for the confirmation number, as she tied a pink wristband around my arm. I struggled to find the information, she just said “whatever” and told me to enter. I walked into the semi-retired drive-in, to see a sparsely populated expanse of pebbles and beer caps. I couldn't find the “secured camping area.” I saw two gringos sitting on top of their camping gear, and figured that was the closest I was going to get to security. They were friends who'd flown in from Brooklyn and Dallas respectively. They shared their sunscreen with me. We shared our discontent. A Mexican photographer snapped our pictures. I perfected my goofiest of poses. The photographers came from Mazatlan to cover the festival. We spoke in Spanish for a while, until we discovered they spoke my language better than I spoke theirs. It seemed like everyone at the festival on Saturday afternoon, was either in a band or a member of the press. The event was clearly a front for people to write blog posts about. I helped some dudes move fences into a pile next to the campsite. Was this the “secure campsite” or an art installation? Bands hadn't started yet. So I decided to maximize my pesos by buying booze at Wal-Mart. I walked down to the highway. A friendly couple of with matching asymmetrical haircuts directed me towards the mall. Inside the air-conditioned supercenter. I found 14 peso mezcal. That's distilled alcohol for the same price as a bottle of water. I knew they were checking bags for booze, so I developed a sophisticated plan for smuggling alcohol into the festival. I would hide each bottle somewhere in my backpack, hidden between clothes. I rehearsed what I would say to security if they wanted to check my bags. If I was going to get caught, I'd hide the bag behind a rock, and come back for it in the evening. When I got to the security gate, the guards didn't even ask if I had a ticket, I just walked through, with disgusting cheap alcohol. I found friends and we drank it. Once we were sufficiently sloshed, we headed to the main stage to watch Das Racist perform. They asked the sound booth to “turn the mushrooms up in the speaker.” The crowd was excited to see “those dudes who sing combination pizza hut and taco bell” not sing “combination pizza hut and taco bell.” Their catalog of high-brow-non-jokey-joke-rap went over well. Quiero Club got a hometown welcome from the audience. I was excited to see these Monterrey natives perform tracks that I've been following for years. I recommend their experimental indie pop record Nueva America. After their set, cheap mezcal + sunstroke + dehydration caught up with me. I needed to go to sleep, but my tent hadn't arrived yet. The military surplus tents were held up at the border. I heard it was because Mexican officials believed that narcoterrorists were setting up training camps disguised as the military. Later the promoter told me they were delayed because Mexican bureaucracy demands bribes. Tents started popping up. I was telling journalists how much I wanted to fall asleep. They convinced me to jump into the sample tent. I fell asleep in the “model home” before anyone could tell me not to. —- The next morning I walked around Monterrey's beautiful city center, a nice break from that grassless field. I came back Sunday afternoon to watch experimental dream popster Banjo or Freakout. As the sunset, a message told the crowd that “BEER WILL NOT BE SOLD AFTER SIX.” I rushed to the booth, and drank my first cerveza preparada of the year. A beer combined with salsa, powdered spice, and tamarindo candy. They called it a “chamochela.” I called it “kind of nasty.” I still drank the whole thing. I finished my drink during White Ninja's set. This Monterrey band, put on the strangest set I saw during the festival. It was awesome. I haven't spend enough time in music journalism school to more articulately describe this band, so take a look for yourself. I watched as Los Fancy Free, finished their set by handing guitars to audience members. It was an impressive feat, but somehow the music sounded exactly the same when played by amateurs. I wasn't sure if this diminished from the band, or made them cooler. I saw a cute Mexican girl chase down Dan Deacon. If Dan Deacon is a sex symbol, there is hope for all of us. He is able to turn broken-experimental-preset-synths into an incredible party. The crowd went nuts, and I understood why that girl was so excited to see him. Andrew WK, performed the last set of the night. I don't know which is my favorite Andrew WK song “Party, Party, Party, Party” or “Party, Party, Party, Party.” Either way I had partied too much, over the past ten days and I was very excited to head home. Though the festival was pretty disorganized, the campsite's were not secure, and the bands didn't all show up, I have to say that the concert was totally worth it. I'll see you next year in Monterrey. http://toddpnyc.com/mtymx/ added by: joshuaheller

The Eight Types of People to Unfollow on Twitter or Defriend on Facebook [Etiquette]

Everybody has a few people clogging up their social networking sites with frequent updates, annoying pictures, and general stupidity. But there’s often guilt about offing these former friends. Feel bad no more! These are the people you must ditch now. Now, to be fair, you should probably consider your relationship with these people before you go deleting them from your electronic life. After all if it’s your partner, parent, boss, best friend, or the guy you’ve been seeing on and off for the last few years, they might notice what you did and take it as an affront. If you’re close enough to this person for them to notice you went out for a pack of eCigarettes and never came back, then it might be better to just have a talk with them about fixing their obnoxious internet behavior. Or you can do the passive aggressive thing and defriend them and then when they say “Yo, what’s up?” tell them that they suck. That works too. If you know any of these people below, it’s time to cut the cord. Hopefully they’ll know what they did. The Overuser : Their thumbs are practically shackled to their Blackberry and their fingers never leave the keyboard. It’s always some new update about where they are (fucking Foursquare!), what they’re doing, or other similar inanities. It’s like someone tweeting about their work out. Oh look, Bill is on his first set of bicep curls. Now Bill is on his second set of bicep curls. Now Bill is on his…we don’t care, no matter how good his guns look. We don’t want to read the seven million articles about Robert Pattinson someone thought were so revealing they had to be shared with the world in rapid succession. We don’t want to hear a critique of every American Idol contestant’s wardrobe, song choice, and singing ability in separate dispatches. This person is like the cyber version of the guy in the Micro Machine’s commercial. Just shut the fuck up. The noise is drowning out the conversation we’re trying to hear. The Oversharer : The minute one of your followees says anything about a bowel movement, it is time to go. Period. Some people use Facebook to share what they’re doing and how they’re feeling in a fun and interesting way. It’s like running into them at a cocktail party and getting the quick rundown. An annoying few use it for their disgusting confessional full of graphic biological, biographical, and sexual information. We don’t want to hear about yellow toenails. We don’t care that this is the heaviest flow that the world has ever seen. We don’t want to hear about every petty slight, bicker, and squabble with a significant other. We’re not a couples counselor, we’re a friend. Sure, if the results of the biopsy come back negative, please celebrate and share it with the world. But a constant stream of gross overshares won’t just make us flinch, it will make us click that little X next to your name. The Proselytizer : These aren’t just the people who are constantly sharing Bible quotes with the world, it’s any person who is constantly nagging other people to join their causes, political battles, and groups. Guess what, if we cared about stopping the deforestation of the Florida panhandle, we would seek the group out and join it ourselves. We don’t need you suggesting that we become a part of it every time we log on to the site! And just because we were guilted into joining “One Million Smooches for Gay Marriage” doesn’t mean we’ll have the same magnanimity when it comes to “Make Gay Marriage Happen Or We’ll Stop Arranging Your Flowers,” “A Petition to End Oil Dependence in the Middle East,” or “Save the Owls of Tuscaloosa County.” These people might as well be one of those horrible college kids who stand on the street with a pack of pamphlets and say, “Do you have a moment for environmental rights?” No, we do not. It’s bad enough when it’s something we already agree with. If someone is spreading crazy Christian nonsense, creationist magic, or right wing political propaganda, they’re so dead to us. The In-Joker : Have you ever gone to someone else’s high school reunion? Unless you are the world’s most patient partner, of course not, because who wants to sit through hours of people sharing stories that you can’t put into context, understand, or enjoy. But that is just what following an In-Joker’s Twitter feed is like. “Like Mark is totally eating a shrimp taco, wink wink @Mike Totally makes me think of that guy in Cancun: ‘Por favor’ Am I right?!!” We’re glad @Mike chuckled because we have no fucking clue what you are saying. No, we don’t know what is so LOL about a cruller in a Corolla or what is so LMAO about karaoke in Bangkok. (OK, that is kind of amusing.) Sure, those might be hilarious for a small collection of people, but it’s a total confusing bore for the rest of us. And please don’t leave in-jokey comments on our page either. Sure, you just want to show how close we are by reminding us of a great moment we shared. We get it, but we want to propagate an open conversation among people we know and like, we don’t want our little slice of the internet to be the back of a 13-year-old girl’s yearbook. The Replyer : There is nothing more annoying than looking at someone’s Twitter page and every burst of characters starts with either an @ or an RT. This is especially true if the response has no context of what the original comment was about. If we don’t follow that other person, we have no idea what the reply is all about. It’s like turning on a David Lynch movie 45 minutes into it. You will be lost, frustrated, and possibly on the verge of an LSD flashback. These are also the people who have something to say about every status update, every picture posted, and every event invitation confirmed. To the casual observer, he is your only or best friend only because he is always there, lurking like two-day-old onion bagel stink in your trash can. He never has anything to say for himself, he’s just feeding and living off of what everyone else has to say. Come up with something of your own or go away. The Meme Lover : The only person who should be sending you weird forward chain mail letters is your mom. Some strange neurotoxin must be released when a woman pushes a baby out of her body that makes her send these to her offspring years later. It can’t be helped, only tolerated. However, if anyone other than your mother is bothering you with “25 Things You Don’t Care to Know About Me” or #sometimesiwonder or tagging you in one of those stupid grids of Little Miss characters, then they need to be cut loose from your life. Yes, a Blingee kitten every so often isn’t the worst thing in the world and can brighten a day, but for those people who fall for every retarded Avatar Week tomfoolery the web dreams up, there is a special sort of banishment. The Fisher : These are the people whose low self-esteem needs to be bolstered by other people wanting to know the details of their life. “I just feel like crying right now” or “You’re never going to believe what I just bought!” or “Can’t wait to tell everyone the big news.” People who say vague and leading things like that want someone else to say, “What?” or “Why?” or “How Come?” That is what The Fisher makes you do, but what they’re really saying is “Tell me I’m good enough to care about.” You probably are, but you don’t need a bunch of anonymous affirmations to tell you that. And sorry, Al-Anon taught us how to not be an enabler so we’re not taking the bait. We’re just going to ignore you and let some poor Replyer feed your madness. The Nobody : Face it, everyone’s Facebook friend list is bloated. It includes people from high school you haven’t talked to in eons, people you you met once at a cocktail party and never talked to again, people who you have 90 mutual friends with but have never actually met in person. And you have to listen to all these things that people say. More often than not, these are the folks who are the types above that you have to get rid of. Your real friends don’t annoy you. Well, they probably do, but you put up with it because, as Dionne sings, that’s what friends are for. Just cut out all the fat. If you don’t recognize someone’s name or face, let them go. It doesn’t make you any less of a person that your numbers are dwindling. You are still important, people still know and like you, and it’s going to be OK. Just take a deep breath. These tools are here to keep you connected, share information, and have fun. Just like the winner of The Biggest Loser , life going to be so much easier to do that once you get rid of all the excess.
