Wendy Bell has filed a federal lawsuit against Pittsburgh-based WTAE for firing her this past spring, alleging that the TV station gave her the pink slip because she’s white. Yes, she has really said this. Back on March 21, Bell (a 21-time Emmy winner) took to Facebook in order to voice her opinion about the March 9 shooting of five African-Americcan people in Pittsburgh’s Wilkinsburg neighborhood. This is what she wrote at the time : You needn’t be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts. They are young black men, likely in their teens or in their early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before. They’ve grown up there. They know the police. They’ve been arrested. Bell wrote this without any actual knowledge of the assailants. She simply assumed they were black men who fit this description… which is pretty darn racist, if you think about it. Bell was relieved of her duties nine days after the station deemed her comments to be an ethical violation. In her lawsuit, the journalist complains: “Had Ms. Bell written the same comments about white criminal suspects or had her race not have been white, Defendant would not have fired her, much less disciplined her. “Ms. Bell’s posting of concern for the African-American community stung by mass shooting was clearly and obviously not intended to be racially offensive.” We’re not sure how clear or obvious that is, even if Bell did not mean any harm by her comments. Earlier today, we learned that Charlie Sheen wishes he had used more condoms in his younger years. (In this case, “his younger years” means ages 15 to 49). Now it seems that a few other folks wish he’d wrapped it up as well – namely, all of his former partners and the California District Attorney’s office. For months, there have been rumors that Sheen is facing jail time for lying to failing to inform his past sex partners that he’s HIV positive. Now, thanks to Sheen’s latest interview with Matt Lauer that aired on Today this morning, investigators may have all the evidence they need to press charges against the former Two and a Half Men star. It seems the remark that really grabbed their attention came when Sheen answered a question about his regrets: “I regret not using a condom one or two times when this whole thing happened,” Sheen told Lauer. He went on to admit that there were at least two occasions in which he knowingly had sex while HIV positive, but did not tell his partner: “There [were] two examples, but protection was always in place,” he said. “And it was for the right reasons, because everyone that I had told up to that moment had shaken me down.” Now, Radar Online is reporting that the DA may be planning to press charges against Sheen as early as this week. “Charlie’s admission that he didn’t tell partners about his HIV has the DA chomping at the bit,” one insider tells the site. It seems all they’re waiting on is testimony from one of the several women have already publicly accused Sheen of misleading them about his condition. “The DA’s office wants to go after him, but no one has come forward — yet,” says the source. Sheen says he recently test drove a high-tech, fool-proof condom from Sweden, so his future partners needn’t worry. Perhaps not surprisingly, he also says he’s had trouble getting laid recently.
As you’ve probably heard, Lamar Odom was found unconscious in his room at the Love Ranch brothel in Pahrump, Nevada last week. After overdosing on an extremely dangerous cocktail of drugs, Odom suffered multiple strokes and was comatose for nearly three days. Odom’s estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, rushed to Vegas and has reportedly been by his side ever since. Though the couple is legally still married, they’ve been separated since 2013. Over the summer, it was revealed that Khloe is dating James Harden , a guard for the Houston Rockets. Many assumed that Khloe had put that relationship on hold in order to attend to Lamar’s needs. Now, Radar Online is reporting that Harden is still Khloe’s top priority. A source tells the site that James and Khloe “have been in constant communication since she arrived in Las Vegas.” “They have mostly been exchanging text messages, and there have been phone calls too,” the insider claims. “James has been very supportive of Khloe being at Lamar’s bedside. If James wasn’t confident in his relationship with Khloe, he would be concerned. “However, he isn’t stupid and knows that Khloe had never really gotten over Lamar. He is busy with preseason games. Khloe has all of her attention focused on Lamar and while that is to be expected, no one knows what the future holds.” To recap: Khloe’s relationship with an NBA All-Star was recently complicated when her estranged husband emerged from his coma. Lamar’s situation is incredibly sad, but the fact that Khloe’s life sounds exactly like an episode of Days of Our Lives is pretty awesome.
We all laughed when Miguel jumped off the stage at the Billboard Music Awards last month and landed on an attendee’s head. But the victim of this accident does not find anything about the incident remotely funny. Quite the opposite, in fact. Sources tell TMZ that Khyati Shah may have suffered brain damage as a result of the incident. Miguel Billboard Music Awards Performance Fail “Some of the difficulties she’s experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury,” Shah’s attorney tells the site, adding that those behind the awards ceremony reacted with very little concern: They merely gave Shah an ice pack when she clearly required a trip to the hospital. Depending on the results of an upcoming exam, Shah may file a lawsuit , though it’s unclear if she’ll target Miguel, Billboard producers or both. No word from either of those camps yet in response.

The estranged couple reportedly spent Wednesday night together , leading many to believe there was hope for Hollywood’s most adorable twosome. But TMZ sources say it all came crashing down on Friday, as Selena allegedly stormed out of a dinner date with Justin. A witness inside a San Fernando Valley Japanese eatery tells the site that Selena ditched the meal after just 10 minutes. She then drove off with Bieber in hot pursuit… only for him to be denied entry to Gomez’s residence when he arrived at her front gate. It’s certainly not a good sign for the heretofore happy couple. Two films with Dwayne Johnson, a Vietnam War romance and ‘The Expendables 2’ are in the Aussie actor’s future. For those of you who loved Liam Hemsworth ‘s short but sweet scenes as Katniss Everdeen’s best friend, Gale, you’re in luck. While we’re sure the Aussie actor is enjoying the benefits of working hard on the film, he’s not sitting around waiting to film the sequel. He has quite a few other films in the works. Here’s a list of what to look forward to from the youngest Hemsworth brother. First on the list is his role as Bill “the Kid” Timmons, the newest addition to Sylvester Stallone’s team, in “The Expendables 2.” Mr. Church, played by Bruce Willis, enlists the Expendables for a job that seems like an easy paycheck. But when a member of the crew is brutally murdered, the Expendables seek revenge and find themselves on enemy turf with an unexpected threat looming over their heads. Also returning to the movie are Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Terry Crews. Yu Nan joins Hemsworth as another of the team’s newcomers in the film, which is set to release on August 17. After watching Hemsworth battle it out in that action flick, you can catch him in a different type of warring film titled “AWOL.” Based on a true story, the film follows a young Vietnam soldier who returns home to the States in search of his newly ex-girlfriend. Austin Stowell plays the broken-hearted soldier, Joiner, and Aimee Teegarden plays Juniper, his high school sweetheart. Hemsworth stars as Joiner’s best friend, Wright, who accompanies him on the risky journey. The backdrop of the film, which will be released later this year, is the anti-war movement at the University of Michigan. Josh Hutcherson isn’t the only ‘Hunger Games’ actor who may be working with Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson. Next year, Hemsworth will star alongside the wrestler-turned-actor in “Empire State.” Also based on a true story, the movie follows a plan set in motion by two childhood friends (one of whom will be played by Hemsworth) to rob an armored car depository. Johnson plays a NYPD officer who attempts to stop the cash heist, and Emma Roberts joins the cast as a waitress who takes interest in Hemsworth’s character. Then, in 2014, Johnson and Hemsworth will reunite for “Arabian Nights.” The tale weaves together some of our favorite adventures as a young commander named Ali Baba (Hemsworth) teams up with Sinbad (Johnson), Aladdin and Aladdin’s genie in order to rescue Scheherazade and her kingdom from the dark forces of a sorcerer. And, of course, you will see Hemsworth reprise his role as Gale Hawthorne in the November 22, 2013 release of “Catching Fire.” Gale will be in the picture more often this time around, and we’re excited to see how Hemsworth develops the character. After Bieber allegedly tweeted nine digits of a Texas phone number, two local residents are threatening legal action. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Earlier this month, Justin Bieber decided to have a little fun with his 19 million Twitter followers when he posted a mysterious phone number and told them “call me right now.” In the tweet — which has since been deleted (but can be seen here … with the number blocked out) — Bieber included just nine digits of a Texas number, leaving the true Beliebers to figure out the rest … which, not surprisingly, caused some headaches for folks who had similar numbers. And now, two of them reportedly have threatened legal action. According to TMZ , a pair of Texas residents (a woman named Dilcie and a man named Kent) have hired an attorney, claiming that since the tweet, their phones have been ringing non-stop. And they’re seeking compensation from Bieber for his “reckless” behavior. The attorney tells the site that her clients received more than 1,000 phone calls from Bieber fans, at all hours of the day, and their patience “wears thin.” So they’re looking for restitution, which could come in any number of forms: An apology from JB himself, concert tickets for Dilcie’s grandchildren, an endorsement for Kent’s “upcoming online project,” or — of course — cold, hard cash. Kent, who doesn’t want his last name to be revealed, subsequently told ABC News that he’s had his number for 20 years, and he doesn’t want to change it just because of Bieber. Of course, there is a question about whether Justin’s initial tweets were even authentic, or if his account was somehow hacked. Rihanna and Chris Brown collaborated on a pair of remixes recently, a surprising move considering all that transpired between the former lovebirds. The 2009 Grammys marked the beginning of a domestic violence drama that revealed a darker side to Chris’ relationship at the time with Rihanna. But nearly three years to the day he beat her senseless, Brown, 22, and Rihanna, 24, are again spending time together – musically and personally. The former couple, whose friendly behavior is no secret on Twitter and in person, hit the studio last week to record parts on each other’s songs. The remix of Rihanna’s single “Birthday Cake,” featuring Chris Brown, lacks no shortage of sex appeal – not to mention some very NSFW lyrics. “Girl, I wanna f–k you right now,” sings Brown, whose return to the Grammys sparked controversy . “Been a long time/Been missing your body.” While Rih doesn’t get as down and dirty with explicit lyrics on Brown’s remix of “Turn up the Music,” she suggests a rather revealing message. “I love you, baby,” she sings. Rihanna clearly does not care about any public response to her being with Chris again, but singing with him and dating him are different things. So far, there’s no indication that they’re back together, despite the rumors of them hooking up numerous times. But it makes you wonder. According to sources in the publishing world, the singer was planning to pen a memoir about Whitney Houston a few years ago, but interest “wasn’t that great” at the time. Now, however? “The market has changed,” this insider tells The Huffington Post . “Now is the time for a book that details an honest look into the life of Whitney.” But there’s no way Brown would exploit Whitney’s death, right? Not when daughter Bobbi Kristina is suffering through such a tragic downward spiral , right? “This is a man who left his ex-wife’s funeral because he didn’t like his seats and went to a paying gig that night ,” a friend of Whitney tells the site. “He didn’t get on stage that night because he needed to sing his greatest hits or because Whitney would have wanted him to entertain his fans, he did it to get a paycheck – the same reason he now wants to write a tell-all book.” Sadly, that’s a very good point.
