The world remains outraged that Felicity Huffman is serving 14 days in prison for her role in the college bribery scandal. Many feel that she got off easy because she's rich and famous. Wendy Williams would like to add to that: if Felicity had been black, her sentence would have been much harsher. When Wendy Williams said “Season 11, I'm going harder than ever,” she clearly meant it. “So Felicity Huffman's only going to prison for 14 days?!” “I mean, if she were black, it'd be 14 years number one.” She's not wrong, really. Studies show that even doctors view black women less favorably than white women. You know that courts do, too. Wendy then briefly confuses Felicity with Lori. “She paid $15,000 and she's worth million,” Wendy observes, saying that Felicity paid to “have her daughter's SAT scores changed.” “And that's where her trouble is,” she states. “So,” Wendy continues. “She admitted what she did. She's going to jail for 14 days.” “She pays $30,000 in restitution — maybe a few more dollars,” she assesses. When you're talking about a pair of movie stars, that's not a huge fine. “Do I think she’ll ever work again? Yeah,” Wendy admits. “Because first of all, she copped to it,” she points out. “Second of all, she’s one half of a power couple in Hollywood,” Wendy reasons. She adds: “And she’s a nice woman. She just did something that I think a lot of mothers would do if you had the means.” Wendy then asks her audience if they would do the same for their children, given the chance. A shocking number of them clap. (Folks, you can take the SAT repeatedly and it's genuinely not a difficult test; let your kid get the scores that they get) Wendy then very correctly points to a case that constrasts with Felicity's. (When the scandal first broke, outrage over this particular case showed the disparity between rich white women and their poor brown counterparts) A woman in Connecticut — who is black — was sentenced to five years in prison. She didn't bribe anyone. She didn't pay someone to impersonate her child to give them a better test score. All that she did was use a relative's address as her child's home address to give her child a better zip code and thus a better education. Remember, this was a woman overcoming racism — because yes, schools being funded by local property taxes is not race-blind. It's a decades-old system designed to ensure that rich, white homeowners aren't paying for the educations of poor people. And because of other racial injustices in America, a disproportionate number of low-income families are black or brown. Most people wouldn't consider what this mom did a crime. You'd equate it with sending your kids to a rich neighborhood to go trick-or-treating. But clearly, prosecutors felt that this woman defrauded more affluent parents by giving her child a better chance at life. Meanwhile, Felicity gets 14 days. Nice though she may be, that's not right. Wendy notes that she feels that Felicity should have been fined millions — with that money going to those who cannot afford a better education. That is a great idea. A genuinely great idea. At the end, Wendy states that she doesn't even feel like discussing Lori, whom everyone feels did much worse than what Felicity did.

Alex Trebek has some very unfortunate news to share. About four months after the Jeopardy! host told fans he was in ” near remission ” after having been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer… … the beloved television personality is here to say otherwise. In an interview that aired on Tuesday’s Good Morning America, the long-running Jeopardy! host revealed that he’s once again undergoing chemotherapy. “The doctors have decided that I have to undergo chemo again and that’s what I’m doing,” Trebek explained, adding: “I was doing so well and my numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer, so we were all very optimistic. “They said, ‘Good, we’re gonna stop chemo, we’ll start you on immunotherapy’ and I lost about 12 pounds in a week and my numbers went sky-high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed. It doesn’t sound like the 79-year old is feeling his best, either. Alex Trebek Offers Cancer Update “My hair started to grow back, but now I have to undergo chemo again, so what little hair I have grown [this summer] is going to disappear again,” he told GMA’s T.J. Holmes. “In terms of getting my strength back, that hasn’t happened, unfortunately.” Trebek, who revealed his cancer diagnosis on March 6 , has also lost a lot of weight of late. About 12 pounds in a week, to be exact. The host proceeded to tell GMA that “cancer is mysterious in more ways than one,” and that battling it has taken a tough toll on his body. “It has different effects on you,” he said. “For some reason, and I don’t understand why, occasionally it will cause excruciating pain in my lower back. Other times it’s fatigue, other times it’s nausea. It varies.” The terrible truth is that Trebek has one of the most aggressive types of cancer out there. The five-year survival rate is extremely small and the median survival rate for people diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer is three to six months. It is incurable. Trebek says he sometimes feels a “surge of sadness and depression,” but he also plans to continue hosting the game show for as long as he can “walk out and greet the contestants.” And as for death, Trebek said that he isn’t concerned. “I realize that there is an end in sight for me just as there is for everyone else,” he says. “One line that I have used for our staff in recent weeks and months is that when I do pass on, one thing they will not say at my funeral is, ‘Oh, he was taken too soon.'” But he disagrees with this predicted assessment. “I’m 79 years old. I’ve had one hell of a good life and I’ve enjoyed it. “And the thought of passing on doesn’t frighten me. It doesn’t. Other things do. The effect it’ll have on my loved ones, yes that bothers me, it makes me sad. “But the thought of myself moving on? Hey folks, it comes with the territory.” This is what Trebek said back in March: Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week I was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. Now, normally the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m gonna fight this and I’m gonna keep working and with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease. There are many weird corners of the internet in which regular folks rally around public figures with the same fierce loyalty that sports fans demonstrate for their favorite football teams. There’s nothing wrong with this fervent devotion, per se , but when it leads to viewing famous people as inhuman competing factions in some never-ending popularity contest, well … that’s when problems arise. Take, for example, the oft-dissected feud between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle . Now, Kate and Meghan are both successful women who appear to have as many differences as they do similarities, so it was always just a matter of time before the tabloid media pitted them against one another. But in this case, the gossip hounds didn’t have to work very hard, as it seems there really is some bad blood between the duchesses. At one point, the situation got so bad that Kensington Palace issued a statement about the feud . Shortly thereafter, however, things seemed to gradually cool down. As is usually the case with this sort of thing, there are conflicting accounts about how this came to be. Some say Prince Charles brokered a peace deal. Others claim their relationship benefited from Meghan’s decision to cut ties with the Sussexes by moving out of Kensington Palace and dividing their formerly co-run charitable organization into two separate entities. Whatever the case, the duchesses have learned to peacefully co-exist — which is great news for everyone except those weirdos who live for royal discord. And that’s how we found ourselves in our current situation, with Kate diehards launching weird, racist smear campaigns against Meghan. It all started with the bizarre claim that Meghan somehow “owes” Kate for her success. The idea that Kate invented the idea of royalty and Meghan should be groveling at her feet gave raise for a number of despicably bigoted memes: This one is actually an ironic refutation of those memes, but the fact that something like this was necessary should give you an idea of how rampant the “savior Kate” mentality has become. And it seems the current anti-Meg campaign is a two-pronged offensive, as Kate loyalists have also been spreading a rumor that Meghan plans to relaunch her defunct lifestyle site The Tig. Obviously, such a commercial endeavor of that nature would be considered beneath Meghan’s current station, and there’s no way it’s actually happening. The professional haters responsible for the rumor seem to have been inspired by the fact that Meghan recently renewed her trademark on the Tig name. But that doesn’t mean she’ll be publishing new content. “The lasting trademark is to prevent false branding, to avoid others purporting to be the Duchess or affiliated with her,” says a legal expert familiar with the situation. So there you have it Meghan won’t be breaching royal protocol by returning to her career as a content creator. That should be enough to placate the Kate obsessives, right? Jk. Not only did the 23-year-old model throw us off by not walking during New York’s fall fashion week and then secretly appearing on the catwalk in London, but she also debuted a brand new look — blonde hair! Yep, the brunette beauty has ditched the dark side and surprisingly, we’re here for it. Everyone in the audience at London Fashion Week did a double-take as the supermodel strutted down Burberry’s spring 2020 runway show with her new ‘do. Honestly, she was almost unrecognizable in the photos. But for someone like Kendall, who has striking dark features, we must say that the beachy blonde coloring actually wasn’t half bad. In fact, she totally worked it! Unlike sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, who have frequently gone for the platinum blonde look in the past, Kendall’s new shade is more natural-looking and completely her own. The color appears to show off highlights that intertwine with her dark roots before falling throughout the full length of her hair. As usual, she kept her natural part down the middle and kept her hair out of her face and behind her ears. So klassy, so kute. This isn’t the first time Kendall has rocked the blonde look , however, this is the first time we believe it to be real . In 2016, the reality star had a similar style as she walked for Balmain at fall fashion week. Of course, that time around it was a wig! With her new look, however, her scalp is fully visible and the dyed coloring blends perfectly with her chocolate brown roots. So, I’m going to somewhat confidently say that she fully committed to the new lewk. *hair flip* A Kardashian/Jenner hair-transformation shouldn’t be a big deal, they change their hair a lot , however, everyone literally just bored fans (yes, me) will stop whatever it is that they’re doing to take a peek. And now — fans, friends and family members are praising Kendall for her new hair, especially sister Khloe . “@Khloekardashian Out of topic but can we talk about this: HOW GORGEOUS KENNY LOOKS WITH BLOND HAIR? omg i can’t!!!!” one fan tweeted to Khloe. Khloe was quick to jump in and support her sister’s light locks, something she has sported for years. “She’s so perfect either way!!!!!! I mean now she looks exactly like me,” Khloe tweeted back. However, Kendall quickly and hilariously shut that down. “you wish bitch,” she fired back. Ah, sisters. Now if you will please excuse me, I need to go schedule an appointment with my hairstylist.

The lawyer claimed Hernandez posted a “diamond-encrusted pendant” to his Instagram account, along with the phrase “somebody come snatch my chain.” For fans who’ve been keeping up with rainbow haired rapper since he broke through with his smash single “Gummo,” part of Tekashi’s troll game was taking to social media and claiming that no one would be able to ever touch him or rob him because his crew was so thorough. In the end it turned out the wolves he boasted about having turned on him and got him themselves, but was it all an act? In today’s age of social media fame and peoples endless pursuit of “likes” we wouldn’t put anything past anybody. Tekashi for his part is set to take the stand as early as today (September 17) and being that he’s facing all kinds of charges of his own you can expect prosecutors to be standing by with a gang of coin roll wrappers for all the dimes he’s expected to drop. Heck, he might bless them with a few extra quarters while putting in his own two pennies.

An unidentified California man has died and the state and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is making a major push to warn society of the dangers of this newfound past time. California will launch a $20 million ad campaign to warn against the dangers of vaping, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Monday, the same day health officials said a 40-year-old had died over the weekend from complications related to using e-cigarettes. The CDC’s Emergency Operations Center is investigating over 380 cases of lung disease related to e-cigarettes in order to determine how these products are affecting people’s health. Governor Gavin Newsom is looking to put a cramp in vaping’s potentially fatal style via taxes and other policies that protect children from malignant marketing. As for flavored e-cigarettes, “they should be banned,” Newsom said, adding he could not add that parameter to his order, though he didn’t explain why. “Let’s just dispense with any niceties,” he said. “You don’t have any bubblegum-flavored, mango-flavored tobacco products unless you’re trying to target an audience that you were losing — that’s young people.” What do you think?
