Firefly Online Trailer Announcement: Yes, That Firefly!

That’s right,  Firefly is back! Well, sort of. With this Firefly Online announcement trailer we get a little glimpse of the new game being released next summer. Firefly Online Announcement Trailer Players are ship captains that find a crew and then find a job. Easy as that.  This is an MMO so you’ll be playing against millions of other captains and their crews. Whether or not there will be different classes of captains, like characters in other MMO’s, or even other characters beyond just the captain of the ship, remains to be seen. The game is still under development with QMXi and Spark Plug Games but no price or firm release date has been announced. Unfortunately it isn’t all good news with  Firefly Online .  It will be available for Android and iOS only as opposed to PC and/or consoles. While at first that seems like a huge letdown, it might be best to see what the finished game looks like before offering judgment. Who knows?  Firefly Online might herald in a new generation of MMO’s that play really well on a mobile platform.  Then again, it could be awful and we’ll be left with another void in our lives where something great could have been, but hey, let’s try and stay positive for the time being. In a somewhat topsy-turvy twist, a mobile gaming mainstay is coming to consoles. Check out this  Angry Birds Star Wars  teaser !

Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus Recalls Roof Diving, On ‘When I Was 17’

‘It’s a miracle that we’re still here,’ he says on latest episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV. By Lauren Kearney Mark Hoppus appears on “When I Was 17” Photo: MTV On the next episode of “When I Was 17,” Mark Hoppus, bassist for blink-182 and host of Fuse’s “Hoppus on Music,” sheds light on what his life was like before he was asking “What’s my age again?” Surprisingly (except not at all), he was as out of control back then as he is now, as he reveals on the episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT. “We were really smart as high-schoolers. We had a friend, his name was Dave, he had a two-story house, and in the backyard of his house was a pool. And his parents would leave for days at a time, so of course, Dave’s a responsible guy, he wouldn’t let anything bad happen. So we would jump off a second-story roof into the pool,” admitted Hoppus, who just finished up on the Honda Civic Tour alongside My Chemical Romance . “We called it Acapulco cliff diving.” “It was definitely high enough so that if you jumped in, you had to turn your body as soon as possible so that you didn’t eat your knees,” he added. While at first it started off safe — well, sort of — Acapulco cliff diving soon became more and more competitive as time went on. “At first I think it was cannonballs and feet first, and then we’d one-up each other and by the end, people were doing flips. I definitely dove headfirst into this pool. It’s a miracle that we’re still here.” And a miracle it is, Mark. Because we can’t imagine what life would have been like without some Blink-182. Don’t miss this week’s episode of “When I Was 17,” featuring Mark Hoppus, Sean Kingston and Tiffani Thiessen, at 11 a.m. Saturday on MTV. Nudecomer Emilia Clarke is a Fantasy Made Flesh in Game of Thrones

You might not know beautiful Brit Emilia Clarke yet- she has appeared on the boob tube only a handful of times, in the Scyfy original movie Triassic Attack (2010 ) and on the BBC drama Doctors (2009) . But all that is about to change- you’ll soon be introducing your handful to Emilia when she stars in in HBO’s Game of Thrones . The big budget show adapts the fantasy novel series “A Song of Fire and Ice,” which has a large and obsessive following. Emilia has been cast as warrior princess Daenerys Targaryen , the last of a crumbling royal dynasty. For the highly detailed and faithful adaptation, Emilia had to learn the language of her characters’ people, Dothraki, with linguists standing by to correct her if she mangled the made-up dialect. But that wasn’t all Emilia had to learn for the show- she was also schooled in the ways of (onscreen) love in a series of sex scenes the producers tout as “graphic”. As executive producer David Benioff told EW : “We loved lord of the Rings, but you don’t really get the sense that any of those characters get horny ever.” In the first episode of Game of Thrones , Daenerys gets married and loses her virginity outdoors on a rock by the Irish Sea. Emilia has said that while at first she was insecure about being nude on camera, she quickly overcame it because the sex scenes are an important part of her character: “Her journey is the growth of a woman, and it’s a sexual awakening as well. We just had a laugh while filming [the explicit sex scenes], though. It was all giggles all the time for us, trying to keep a straight face.” Giggles or no, Emilia has yet to share a laugh with her dad and brother about her onscreen nudity- as she told MTV: “As soon as I’m in the character that’s it: You’re her, you’re not yourself. And they did it beautifully, they did it tastefully. [But] I’ll watch it first before my dad watches it…and my brother doesn’t know at all!” See all the breast nudity from the upcoming HBO series Game of Thrones – before Emilia Clarke ‘s family- right here on MrSkin.com!
