Juan Pablo Galavis Slams Gay Bachelor as Poor Example, Says Homosexuals are Perverted

Juan Pablo Galavis may be funny when asking folks for their opinion of The Bachelor . But few are laughing at his comments regarding homosexuals. Asked by TV Page today about the possibility of ABC on day hiring a gay person to serve as The Bachelor, this year’s star dismissed the idea because: “I don’t think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV.” “Obviously people have their husband and wife and kids and that is how we are brought up,” Juan Pablo added. “Now there is fathers having kids and all that, and it is hard for me to understand that too in the sense of a household having people… It is confusing in a sense.” The single dad then backtracked a tiny bit. “I respect them because they want to have kids,” he said of same sex couples. “They want to be parents. So it is a scale… Where do you put it on the scale? Where is the thin line to cross or not? You have to respect everybody’s desires and way of living. Jenna Talackova Falls Short of Miss Universe Canada Crown, Named Miss Congeniality

Transgender Canadian beauty queen Jenna Talackova turned heads in a bikini and placed in the top 12 at the Miss Universe Canada pageant this weekend. The 6-foot-1 blonde bombshell was a crowd favorite, even though she fell short of the Miss Canada crown and entry into the Miss Universe competition. Born Walter Talackova, Jenna also seemed to be a favorite among her fellow contestants and was one of four women voted “Miss Congeniality.” The 23-year-old was originally disqualified from the competition because she was not a “naturally born female,” but ultimately allowed back in. After threats of a lawsuit and public outcry, the Trump Organization, which owns the contest, announced Talackova would be allowed to compete. “I didn’t know that there would be this much controversy. I was just entering because, you know, I wanted to represent Canada,” Talackova said. Adding that she was born in the wrong body , Jenna added, “I think I’m a beautiful woman, inside and out. The Avengers Sinks Battleship, Retains Box Office Title

The Avengers sunk Rihanna’s Battleship and everything else. Again. The superhero smash raked in $55 million, maintaining its first place position at the box office for the third straight week. It has made $450 million domestically since its May 4 release and has earned over $1 billion nationally . The Avengers Trailer (Official) Battleship , which also stars Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgard and Liam Neeson, ended its debut weekend at #2 with a somewhat underwhelming $25.3 million. Sacha Baron Cohen’s zany The Dictator earned $24 million in its opening weekend, putting it in third place. Dark Shadows was next at $12.5 million. What to Expect When You’re Expecting , the ensemble comedy based on the book of the same name, debuted with a disappointing $10.3 million. Rounding out the top 10: Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (No. 6, $3.5 million) The Hunger Games (No. 7, $2.8 million) Think Like a Man (No. 8, $2.7 million) The Lucky One (No. 9, $1.7 million) Pirates! The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard was apparently just dissed by her former fiance, Brad Womack, in a recent interview he gave. What did the guy say? Asked about the 26-year-old single mother by his hometown ABC station, Brad allegedly said : “I think I dodged a bullet with that relationship.” Yeah. If that’s true, really not cool Brad. Good thing Emily Maynard has a whole new group of guys to choose from on the new season of The Bachelorette, since Brad clearly wasn’t The One. Who will she choose now that she’s the one doling out the roses for the ABC reality franchise, which airs tonight? That’s yet to be determined. Emily Maynard: The Engagement Ring is Still On!

Rumors of their breakup began swirling about 10 minutes after The Bachelor finale last Monday, but at least for now, all seems well for the happy couple. Brad Womack’s chosen bride-to-be Emily Maynard was seen at the Charlotte airport on Thursday, still wearing her huge engagement ring in this photo . Emily Maynard also Tweeted that she had just returned from a trip to visit Brad in Austin, and by all accounts it went well, even if they’re taking it slow. The couple seemed destined for each other all season, making some of the After the Final Rose revelations all the more surprising to the show’s viewers. They already briefly broke up once since the finale was taped, he wanted to marry her this month but she declined, and she won’t move to Austin – yet. Nevertheless, she seems committed to Brad Womack and maybe, just maybe, they’ll be able to work this thing out and get married when it feels right. What do you think? Will Brad and Emily last? The Bachelor star Brad Womack says both “would make incredible wives, incredible mates” and that he labored over who to give his final rose to. “Both had qualities I was looking for,” he said during a taping for the Women Tell All special tomorrow night, with the season finale set for March 14. Chantal O’Brien is “up for everything, fun … we hit it off early. There was immediate physical chemistry. But we had a lot of highs and lows.” “When she gets so upset, like she did in Anguilla, it makes me wonder if we could find that rhythm and make it work for the rest of our lives.” As for Emily Maynard ? Brad calls her “an incredible mother – [a] really sweet and a caring, sensitive woman that is also quite easy on the eyes.” “She went through a tough situation with the plane crash and becoming a single mom. But she rose to the occasion beautifully. I admire that.” “She makes me a better person when I am around her.” So who’s it going to be? The Bachelor spoilers have indicated a finale with these two for months, but the winner has long been in dispute. One thing’s for sure – Brad is not dwelling on either’s past. “I chalked up Emily and Chantal’s situations [to] the past,” he says. “I have one, too. If anyone has baggage that should be of concern, it’s me.” “That isn’t to say that Emily’s past didn’t give me pause,” says Brad of her situation. “It’s intimidating to think about becoming a part of her life.” “She lost a love in a tragic event while pregnant. Lindsay Lohan: A History of Thievery

Lindsay Lohan will be formally charged and arraigned today in court after a stunt in which she allegedly ripped off an expensive necklace from a jewelry store. While the star claims it’s just a misunderstanding (isn’t it always?), the L.A. County District Attorney believes Lindsay Lohan is a “seasoned” fashion thief. That’s the primary reason why the actress is being prosecuted for felony grand theft, and you can expect her history in this shady arena to be on full display. REPEAT OFFENDER : The D.A. will try to paint her as such, and there are certainly enough incidents from which to make a case. [Photo: Pacific Coast News] In deciding whether to prosecute Lohan, the D.A.’s Office heavily considered THREE OTHER INCIDENTS where Lindsay allegedly pilfered expensive items : She was accused of stealing a $12,000 coat in 2008 from an NYC club. She was suspected of taking a $400,000 necklace in 2009 from Elle. She was accused of taking a $35,000 Rolex from a “friend” in 2010. Lindsay was not prosecuted or convicted for any of the above, but they show a pattern, and that undisputed fact played a role in pushing the 2011 case. Prosecutors will ask the judge to admit the three incidents into evidence to show “prior bad acts” if the case goes to trial, as well as two other factors: Lindsay’s repeated run-ins with the law, including two DUIs. Lindsay’s repeated disregard for legal system by failing to perform probation requirements (not going to alcohol ed class, etc), blowing off court (trip to Cannes, etc), and just being an ass (the f–k you nails , etc). Most importantly, the D.A. has a surveillance video which shows Lindsay walking out of a Venice, Calif., jewelry store with the $2,500 piece in question. The necklace is partially hidden by other trinkets around Lindsay’s neck. Lohan will be arraigned today at 1:30 p.m. California time. Stay tuned …

In a cross-promotional effort somewhere between awesome and terrible, Monday’s episode of The Bachelor will feature a date with Brad Womack in which three of the remaining ladies will pose for the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue! Move over, Brooklyn Decker. Make room for Ashley Hebert … Don’t get us wrong. Ashley, Chantal O’Brien and Michelle Money are all attractive girls worthy of inclusion. But c’mon, we’re talking about The Bachelor , people. The SI swimsuit issue may have jumped the shark with this PR stunt, desperate to make a splash (pun intended) in the Free-Internet-Pics-of-Hot-Girls era. Nevertheless, you can’t deny that Michelle Money, for all her psycho stalker antics, has a ridiculous body she will flaunt in this setting. Chantal isn’t far behind. Ashley Hebert doesn’t have the same swimsuit model figure you normally see in SI, but is still a bona fide cutie by any measure, as the pic above proves. Her fun-loving spirit comes across well … and just forget what we said in the previous sentence. She looks like she has a dancer’s body and looks amazing. Interestingly, earlier previews for this episode may have been designed to try to throw off The Bachelor spoilers , as it was made out to look like the finale. Chantal laments that Brad Womack can’t choose her as “one of three girls.” But it’s not the end. There are still six remaining at this stage of the game. Here’s a sneak peek of the episode, in which Brad Womack gets the grumpy girls out of bed at 2 a.m. to go on this date. Oh, it will be quite worth it, girls.
