Last night’s offering of Keeping Up With the Kardashians continued the now-familiar storyline of Bruce and Brody Jenner trying to repair their relationship. Meanwhile, Kris Jenner and the girls battled allegations from Ellen Pearson, Robert Kardashian Sr.’s ex-wife, with emotions running high as always. Perhaps most significantly, Rob Kardashian gaining 50 pounds carried the most weight Sunday … pun intended. Come along for THG’s official +/- recap! Rob Kardashian’s weight loss became a major story last month. Now, we get to see the precursor – the gain, and the concern of his family members. He’d put on 50 pounds, and felt he was “embarrassing to the family” after weighing in at 241 pounds with a 45-inch waist. Wow dude. Minus 241 . Not only that, be missed the private training sessions Kim Kardashian had set up for him, even as his body fat reached upwards of 50 percent. 50! “I really needed a pregnant friend,” Kim joked, in the line of the night. When Rob insisted he wasn’t pregnant, Kim said, “I know, but you eat like one.” Plus 70 , because even though it was clearly scripted, ouch! The tough love continued, too. Khloe’s plan was to get him to binge hard, getting him so sick on junk food that he’d never want to eat it again. Unfortunately, the plan backfired, however Rob did say later that he wanted to get fit and planned to work out with Khloe’s husband Lamar. Plus 40 . He’s proving a man of his word, too, looking noticeably slimmer and saying his goal is to get down to 200 pounds by July 4. Good work, Rob. Plus 20 . Meanwhile, Kris & Ko. continued their feud with her ex’s other ex, which seems designed primarily to stretch Keeping Up into its hour-long time slot. Seriously. Don’t you miss the half-hour days? Minus 50 . As for Brody and Bruce, we’ve been hearing whispers for awhile, but it was surprising to learn just how absent Bruce was from Brody Jenner’s life. No wonder Brody said Bruce is not the best father . Minus 50 . While it’s terrific to see that they both care enough to work on things now, you can’t help but feel that Bruce’s image has been dented a bit by this. Plus 150 for E! showing his faults, though, and for the father-son duo making strides to improve the situation. Because that’s what it’s all about, no? EPISODE TOTAL: -61!

‘I’ll be honest, I felt there was a lot of contradiction,’ Van Pelt tells MTV News after her elimination. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Kelly Marino Erika Van Pelt Photo: MTV News To just about anyone who tuned in to this week’s “American Idol,” Erika Van Pelt’s exit was a shocker, to say the very least, especially since her performance of “New York State of Mind” was one of the highlights. But also because, you know, Heejun Han is still on the show . Rather than using her three minutes to goof off, Van Pelt genuinely seemed determine to put her best foot forward on Wednesday night, whether it was listening to “Idol” judges’ previous advice to minimize her onstage movements or taking designer Tommy Hilfiger’s hairstyling tips to heart. Oh, and then she delivered a sultry, soulful version of the Joel classic, all of which seemed to guarantee she’d be safe … for at least another week. But, as it turns out, that wasn’t the case, and on Thursday night’s results show , it was Van Pelt who was sent packing. And immediately after her ouster, let’s just say Van Pelt was still trying to figure out what went wrong — though she’s got a pretty good idea of where to start. “I felt confused every week, I’ll be honest,” she told MTV News. “I felt there was a lot of contradiction, and as an artist and someone who takes their singing very seriously, it’s hard for me to take critique of my work, period, and then when you feel like you sorta have people telling you one thing and then telling you something completely different the week after, it’s hard. “Because constructive criticism to me is something I can go home, work on, fix and come back and say, ‘Here, I fixed it.’ I feel what happened to me in this competition was I would take all the advice, I’d work on things, I’d bring something different to the table, and they’d tell me the complete opposite. It’s been really hard for me, I can admit that.” And to that end, when asked which judge or mentor actually provided her with the best guidance, Van Pelt took a diplomatic pause and then answered rather truthfully: none of them. “This might sound really weird, but I feel like my fellow contestants taught me the most,” she said. “We have this inner-working where we all help each other, we all offer up our advice … it’s all about throwing these ideas out and never telling someone what they should do; it’s about giving them suggestions.” Of course, she did add that, ultimately, her “Idol” exit was of her own doing. “I will never blame anyone for misleading me in any way, shape or form; I’m a grown woman,” she said. And she’s grateful for all the opportunities the show has provided for her, chief among them being that, for a while at least, she doesn’t have to go back to her day job as a wedding DJ. “I don’t think I’ll be doing any DJ’ing for a while,” she laughed. “To be totally honest, I need to sleep!” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.
Tori Spelling has clearly been attending classes at Kardashian University. Like the world’s most famous, least talented trio of siters, the washed-up actress has created her own relationship drama … in order to spout off to the press, deny the made-up rumors and garner attention for her reality show. Earlier today, Spelling appeared on NBC and said her and husband Dean McDermott are “not headed for divorce. We’re committed to each other, we’re committed to this family. But you know, we work on things just like everyone else.” They are different from everyone else in one regard, of course: they contrive scenarios for their Oxygen reality show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood , and pretend like the show is a glimpse into their actual lives. On the upcoming fifth season, for example, Tori, Dean and their children load into an RV and take a road trip to Atlanta. They fight along the way, of course, including the following, scripted exchange: “It’s like you got more and more unhappy and angry,” Spelling says to her husband. “I just want the old Dean back. I really do. I miss you so much.” But don’t worry, folks! Tori told Us Weekly that “there are good days and bad days with everything. I’m happy fans will see we have ups and downs like everyone else.” This begs the question: Who on earth is a fan of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott?!?
moldova Tori Spelling, Victoria Davey Spelling in real life, has been rumored about her marital discord with husband Dean McDermott after being filmed while having a major fight with the latter. “We’re not headed for divorce,” Spelling, 36, said Monday on NBC’s Today show. “We’re committed to each other, we’re committed to this family. But you know, we work on things just like everyone else.” Footage from the 5th season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, which premieres Monday on Oxygen, reportedly showed Spelling telling her husband of almost four years: “It’s like you got more and more unhappy and angry. I just want the old Dean back. I really do. I miss you so much.” But Spelling said not to worry about her marriage with McDermott. They are just like any other couple. “We have our fights. We have our ups and downs. It’s a real relationship,” she said. “Some issues have come up this season, and the cameras were there to catch it. And I’m happy to put that out there to my fans, because we’re a normal, relatable couple. We’re not perfect, and things happen.” Sometimes, she dreams of living with her husband and kids, Liam (3yo) and Stella (22mos), away from the cameras. “I know show business has been my life, and I love doing it,” she said. “But I have this other side that wants to be the soccer mom and wants to live in a small town and take my kids in the carpool and be at home and cook dinner every night. … I kind of wish I had both, that I could balance both.” She also spoke of her often-troubled relationship with her mother, Candy Spelling, saying that – knock on wood – it’s getting better all the time. “It’s a work in progress, but it’s great,” she says. “She sees the grandkids all the time. She loves them, they’re taken by her. So we’re just working towards improving our relationship.” Tori Spelling On Her Marriage: “We’re not headed for divorce” is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading →
