Henry Bromell, a veteran television producer of such hits as Homeland and Chicago Hope , passed away today after suffering a heart attack on Monday. He was 66. The writer has served as executive producer on the aforementioned Showtime hit since it premiered early last year. Said 20th Century Fox TV/Fox 21 in a statement on his death: “We were lucky to work with Henry on and off for the past 18 years. He was a supremely talented writer and as kind and warm a person as you could ever meet. He will be deeply missed at the studio and on Homeland . Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife and children.” Bromwell is survived by his wife and two sons. His resume includes Northern Exposure , Homicide: Life On The Street , Rubicon and Carnivale .

Dorothy Hamill says she turned to Dancing With The Stars for hope during her fight with breast cancer. Now she’s looking to win the Mirror Ball herself. Her former Olympic figure skating teammate, Kristi Yamaguchi, appeared on Season 6, and Dorothy was so inspired, she decided to join Season 16. Her debut on last night’s DWTS premiere was worth the wait. It took me awhile to finally write about My Bieber Experience because I couldn’t find the words to describe how much it changed my life. I still shake just thinking about it and I’ll try to describe it the best way I can. It was October 22nd, 2012 when I got the email from BieberFever. I had won the contest to meet Justin the next night! I screamed so loud and was crying that my mom came downstairs thinking she had to take me to the ER again. Thats the usual case. I spent a lot of my time these past few years at the hospital getting tests, seeing doctors, and spending nights in there. It’s very scary to think about that if I didn’t have Justin I don’t think I would’ve made it through all the life-changing things I had to go through. I got through it thinking one day I’m going to meet him and tell him how he has changed my life and so I did. On October 23rd I arrived to Allstate Arena for the meet & greet. I had no idea what to expect, so when they said we had to go in groups of 6 people I got a little teary eyed. The security noticed and told me not to worry that they would let me in first. Within seconds, Kenny popped his head through the curtain and said, “Wipe your tears it’s your turn!” I walked in there nervous as ever but all my nerves flew away as Justin turned to me and was like, “Hi!” and wrapped his arms around me in a hug. My first words to him were, “This is my biggest dream you’ve gotten me through so much.” He relied, “Aw you are so cute!” I then told him, “I’ve been in the hospital and sick so much if it wasn’t for you I don’t know what would have happened.” This is the moment when I knew all those days of waiting to meet Justin was worth it. He looked me in the eyes and said “Everything’s going to be alright,” and grabbed me in for another hug. We took the picture and before I left I told him, “Thank you for everything” and that I loved him. He smiled back at me and said that if it wasn’t for people like me, he wouldn’t be here and that he loved me too. I think the most important thing to take from this is that you cannot believe everything you hear. I spent about 3 minutes with Justin and I could tell his heart is with his fans and he truly cares about us. There may be bad stories about him being rude or mean but not everything you hear is true. He is one of the nicest boys I’ve ever met and know that one day your dream will come true of meeting him like mine did! I’m Steven, I’m from Quebec, Canada & I’ve been a belieber since the beginning. I’ve never seen Justin before, I didn’t go to the My World tour in 2010. It all started in May when I skipped school to buy my ticket for the Believe Tour. I didn’t buy VIP meet & greet because it’s really expensive and I cannot afford it but I still got good seats, floor seats so I was really happy. On November 25, I drove 6 hours to go to Montreal for the Believe Tour. While I was in Montreal, I was nervous because I was checking my emails every 5 minutes to know if I won the meet & greet contest on BieberFever. Unfortunately I didn’t win and I tried a lot of contests to get a meet & greet, through many contests on the radio and TV. We trended #BiebsMeetSteven on Twitter. It was my only chance to meet Justin because he barely comes to Montreal. I was kinda sad just thinking about that I wasn’t going to meet him, but I tried everything. After all: NEVER SAY NEVER is our motto. But you know what? On November 26th, I woke up at 7 a.m., went on Twitter and I got a DM from Kenny asking, “What’s your first and last name? I will leave two wristbands for you and a friend to be in the meet and greet. Pick them up at 4 p.m. from will call.” I was SO happy when I read this message. At first, I thought it was a dream but no, it was real. I went to the Bell Centre at 2 p.m. and I saw Jeremy Bieber. At 4, I got the wristbands to meet Justin and my friend and I were waiting in line. We saw people crying tears of happiness after the meet & greet and we were excited. The line started moving and we were so close. I saw Justin and I was saying to my friend, “Oh my God, it’s Justin. He’s really there.” When we went in the tent and met Justin, he said, “Hi bro,” to me. I know it’s only 10 seconds and it was really fast, but it was the best moment of our lives. After the meet and greet, I saw Bruce and Kenny was like, “Hey Steven” and gave me a handshake. I said, “Thanks you so much Kenny, I LOVE YOU” and said, “I appreciate everything you do, I love you.” *handshake* He’s so sweet. I was really happy to see Kenny because I’ve met Justin because of him, he realized my dream and made it come true. I am so grateful. The concert was incredible. My favorite part was when the whole arena was singing “As Long As You Love Me” and Justin was listening to us. The crowd was so loud and Justin was so speechless. I’ve been waiting since 2009 and it was well worth the wait. November 26th, 2012 was the best day of my life. Lance Armstrong and his team ran a sophisticated and professional doping scheme for years, according to 11 of the cycling legend’s former teammates. A report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency details the complete case against Armstrong, 41, who was stripped of his Tour de France titles this summer. It contains testimony from 11 of his former U.S. Postal Service teammates. Lance has always denied doping but has not contested these charges. USADA chief executive Travis Tygart said there was “conclusive and undeniable proof” of a team-run doping conspiracy headed by the all-time great. The group will send a “reasoned decision” in the case to the International Cycling Union (UCI), the World Anti-Doping Agency and the World Triathlon Corporation. The UCI now has 21 days to appeal or they must comply with the decision to strip Armstrong of all his cycling titles and hand him a lifetime ban. Armstrong overcame cancer to return to cycling and won the Tour from 1999-2005. He retired in 2005 but returned in 2009 before retiring for good in 2011. In his statement, Tygart said the evidence against Armstrong and his team – which is in excess of 1,000 pages – was nothing short of “overwhelming.” It “includes sworn testimony from 26 people, including 15 riders with knowledge of the US Postal Service Team and its participants’ doping activities.” [Photo: WENN.com]

Director Robert Rodriguez is notorious for publicly discussing projects that never go anywhere (Like the also recently announced Machete sequel , which is…postponed? Abandoned altogether? Who knows?). But now that he’s sent out an official press release announcing that production has begun on Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For , well, there’s no turning back now: “I have wanted to re-team with Frank Miller and return to the world he created since the day we wrapped the original, but have felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations. ‘A Dame To Kill For’ will certainly be worth the wait.” No pressure or anything… Details are still scarce on Sin City 2 , but the graphic novel A Dame to Kill For , on which the movie is (presumably) being based, takes place before The Hard Goodbye , which was adapted into the first Sin City movie. Does this mean Carla Gugino will be back, hand and all? Will Jessica Alba return as a somewhat less seasoned stripper? Will Jaime King actually have more than a couple lines of dialogue this time?
