STFU, Soup Cookie: WASP-y Racist Writes Angry Letter To Penn State Football Player With “Disgusting Dreadlocks”

Source: manoa / Getty Penn State Player Sent Racist Letter About His Locs A racist douchebag named David Petersen who graduated from Penn State in 1966 is currently being fire-roasted over 280-characters or less for an incredibly racist letter that he wrote to footballer Jonathan Sutherland that was tweeted out by his teammate Antonio Shelton. One of my teammates got this. Explain to me how this isn’t racist. pic.twitter.com/Qms1F6DEEP — Antonio Shelton (@_groovy55) October 7, 2019 A reporter at the Tribune-Democrat contacted Petersen who offered the weakest explanation of his cracker-y correspondence. Reached by phone on Tuesday, Petersen said making a racial or cultural statement “was not the intent at all. I would just like to see the coaches get the guys cleaned up and not looking like Florida State and Miami guys.” Penn State’s Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics, Sandy Barbour, released her own statement in support of Jonathan. I stand with our Penn State student athletes and appreciate how they represent PSU in competition, in the classroom and in the community. Their dress, tattoos, or hairstyle has no impact on my support, nor does their gender, skin color, sexuality or religion! #WeAre #ONETEAM — Sandy Barbour (@SandyB_PSUAD) October 8, 2019 To give further context about who the f**k David Petersen is, the Tribute-Democrat details the many alt-right-ish op-eds that he’s written in the past about topics like welfare, “violent offenders, and Islam. He asked: “Does the Tribune have no awareness of or regard for the families of those who died on 9/11? … The Tribune’s disclaimer as a paean to ‘diversity’ is invalid. This was an appalling display of poor judgment, an insult to all Americans, and dishonors all who have died and continue to die fighting the war on terrorism.” Safe to say that this a$$-clown is probably a MAGA, “blue lives matter”, Republican deplorable. After all the “disgusting” scandals that Penn State has had involving rape, sex abuse, and kidnapping this mayo-splattered bigot has the nerve to chastise Black hair. We hope he’s banned from Penn State for life.

Colin Kaepernick Kneels During Anthem, Makes $1 Million Pledge

As a starting quarterback, Colin Kaepernick often bolted from the pocket at the first sign of pressure from the defensive line. As a controversial protestor, however, Colin Kaepernick isn’t going anywhere in the face of ongoing criticism. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback refused to stand during the playing of the national anthem prior to a preseason football game last week. After cameras found Kaepernick glued to the bench, he explained to reporters that he felt a responsibility to take some kind action against racial injustice in America. “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick said, adding: “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. “There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.” In subsequent comments, Kaepernick brought up the recent deaths of African-American citizens in confrontations with white police officers and said he would continue his protest until he saw “significant change.” And he meant it. On Thursday evening, Kaepernick kneeled on the sideline while the Star-Spangled Banner played overhead prior to his team’s matchup against the San Diego Chargers. In this case, Petty Officer 1st Class Steven Powell sang the anthem, as 240 military officers held the U.S. flag on a night when the home team hosted the 28th annual Salute to the Military night. But the quarterback wasn’t alone this time around. Teammate Eric Reid also dropped to a knee. Elsewhere on Thursday, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane refused to stand during the national anthem before his game against the Oakland Raiders. “I’ll continue to sit,” Kaepernick said earlier this week. “I’m gonna continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed. To me, this is something that has to change. “When there’s significant change and I feel like that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent and this country is representing people the way that it’s supposed to, I’ll stand.” However, Kaepernick is doing more than merely kneeling on the ground for a couple minutes in protest. He has announced plans to donate the first $1 million he earns this year to charities that assist communities in need. “I’ve been very blessed to be in this position and to be able to make the kind of money I do,” Kaepernick said after last night’s game. “And I have to help these people. I have to help these communities. It’s not right that they’re not put in a position to succeed or given those opportunities to succeed.” Kaepernick also said he spoke to a military veteran before the game about his cause. He received the man’s full support and explains that he took to a knee, as opposed to sitting all the way down, to “try to show more respect to the men and women that fight for this country.” Kaepernick has received some celebrity support, as well. John Legend, for example, says the Star-Spangled Banner is weak and that “America the Beautiful” should be our anthem instead. Either way, this is where things now stand: Colin Kaepernick is taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem. He’s doing so to draw attention to racial inequality in a country that prides itself as being the “land of the free” and he’s now giving $1 million to causes that are trying to help with this issue. And there’s a single person out there who has a problem with this? Why?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Nah, Plair: Michael Phelps Cancels Christmas On Nosy Reporter At Airport [Video]

Michael Phelps Shuts Down Reporter At Arizona Airport Michael Phelps came, saw and conquered the 2016 Olympics in Rio. In the wake of his domination, his teammate, Ryan Lochte, was busy embarrassing himself and the U.S. with his faux robbery lies. Upon arriving back in America, Phelps was NOT trying to get caught up in the mix and shut a persistent reporter ALL the way down when he began asking questions… Didn’t sound like the reporter was gonna be messy, but all things considered, we get why Mike was a lil’ defensive. Geno Smith Punched in Face By Teammate, Out 6-10 Weeks

The start of the New York Jets season is either off to a terrific start or a terrible start… depending on your view of Geno Smith. The team’s starting quarterback is out a minimum of six weeks after breaking his jaw due to a teammate’s locker room sucker punch. Describing the altercation between Smith and reserve linebacker IK Enemkpali, Head Coach Todd Bowles told reporters this afternoon: “It was nothing to do with football. … It was very childish. He got cold-cocked … sucker punched, whatever you want to call it, in the jaw. He’s got a broken jaw, a fractured jaw.” Enemkpali was released immediately after the incident. Smith, who ranked last in the NFL over the past two seasons in touchdown-to-interception ratio and also last in competition percentage, will undergo surgery. He has vowed on Instagram that he’ll be “back,” though plenty of Jets fans out there probably want him to take his time. “The team knows it. It’s something we don’t tolerate, something we can’t stand,” Bowles said. “You don’t walk up to a man and punch him in the face.”

People Ain’t Isht: Former Vanderbilt Football Players Laughed, Shot Videos And Texted During Sex Assault On Unconscious Coed

Remember those four Vanderbilt football players who were dismissed from the team year before last for forcing sex on a female student ? Two of the accused are currently on trial and the details of the alleged incident continue to horrify us… According to NY Daily News reports : Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey are each charged with five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. Vandenburg also faces additional charges of tampering with evidence and unlawful photography. Four former players are accused of raping the unconscious female neuroscience student in June 2013, but two will testify in the case. Both defense attorneys warned jurors about the two other former players who are charged in the case: Brandon Banks and Jaborian “Tip” McKenzie are expected to testify against Vandenburg and Batey. Video appears to show Vandenburg carrying the victim from a car outside the building into the dorm, according to testimony from Vanderbilt University Police Lt. Donnie Harville. Players were apparently seen on video dragging the unconscious woman down the hall. They giggled, shot video and sent text messages while they sexually abused her in an assault that began in a hallway, the prosecutor alleged. Thurman described in explicit detail how one former player assaulted her with a water bottle while a teammate egged him on. The prosecutor said one of the players passed out condoms and assaulted her. And one of the former players urinated on her and made a racial statement, Thurman alleged. Three of the ex-players are black and one is white. The victim is white. Disgusting… Talk about adding insult to injury. The poor woman was raped AND urinated on! Batey and Vandenburg are blaming the school’s “culture of binge drinking and promiscuity” for their role in the incident. None of the accused were of legal drinking age at the time. “I think the proof will be very clear at the end of the trial that alcohol played a role in what happened in that dorm room,” Worrick Robinson, an attorney who represents Batey, told jurors. He said Batey was so drunk that he blacked out that night. Robinson also told jurors that there is no evidence of Batey’s DNA in the dorm room and no evidence of his fingerprints on a condom box. What do you think is an appropriate punishment for such a crime? It seems like this happens time and time again with young athletes — especially football. What is it about sports that seems to attract these situations? We send our prayers out to the victim. We hope she’s able to recover from the trauma of this. APImages

Ginger Boo Blake Griffin Talks To GQ Magazine About Donald Sterling’s Racist Ways, Fatherhood And How Hard It Is To Find A “Decent, Good Girl” In L.A.

Blakey poo we see you shining. Blake Griffin Covers GQ Magazine’s October Issue GQ just put Blake Griffin on the cover of their first ever age issue… and we’ve got some choice quotes for you below via GQ.com : On Playing For “Racist” Donald Sterling: Were you aware of Donald Sterling’s reputation then? When the draft lottery came out and the Clippers said they were gonna draft me, I went to Google to find out more about the Clippers, because I didn’t know a lot. And I was like, “Okay, team owned by Donald Sterling.” So then I typed in “Donald Sterling” in Google, and the first thing that pops up is “Donald Sterling racist.” And I was like, “Whoa!” So obviously I explored that, read a whole bunch of articles, read the deposition at one of his court cases. Which was awesome, if you ever have time to read some of the depositions. [laughs] I’ve only seen the highlights. Did you see the one where he’s talking about being in the back of the limo? You gotta just type in “Donald Sterling deposition.” [ Later I do, and this is what comes up, from a 2003 suit, regarding a sexual companion: “Well, I fool around sometimes. I do. When a girl seduces me and tells me how much she wants to suck on me and take my shoes off and licks my feet and touches me. When I’m in a limousine, she takes off all her clothes. The limo driver said, ‘What is going on?’ And she started sucking me on the way to Mr. Koon’s house. And I thank her. I thank her for making me feel good.” ] I’ll let you read it, because I don’t want to do it—I don’t want to do it injustice. And then, at the very end…just read it. [ The response: “Sir, the question was, is this your handwriting?”] So I was aware, but not until right before I got drafted. After you get drafted, and you’re reading this stuff—is there any recourse for a player in your situation? No. Not at all. I mean, what was I gonna do? And for five years with the team, it was fine. Nothing came out. Nothing happened. I never really saw him that much. I saw him right when I first got drafted. I had to go to a couple of events that he does, which was awful. Is it true that he would bring women in to the locker room to watch players shower? He would bring them in the locker room. Guys would be in there. The showers are kind of elsewhere. I don’t think they would really go back there. But he would bring people in the locker room while we were just in towels. One year he came in and led a “hip hip hooray” chant and held my arm up in the air. Then he went to another teammate and did the same thing. Guys just started scattering as fast as possible. [laughs] Would you guys commiserate about working for someone like that? No, we really didn’t. Guys would tell different stories about their interactions with him. And then when all this came out… We heard that it was gonna come out the day before it came out—our coach told us—and this is during the playoffs. We were up in San Francisco, in a team meeting. And because we didn’t know exactly what was said, we were just kind of like, “Oh, okay, well, whatever.” And then I remember waking up Saturday morning to, like, twenty texts. This is 7 a.m. And then, throughout the day, just bombarded with texts about it. I ended up turning my phone off, because we were trying to focus. Did you listen to the tape? Oh yeah. [laughs] I listened to it like the first thing in the morning when I woke up, searched for it and listened to it from beginning to end, and then listened to the second one. How did you feel, listening? It was unfortunate. I mean, for me, like I said, the first thing I ever Googled about the man, the first thing that popped up was “racist.” So I was aware. I hate to say this, and it might sound ignorant, but I wasn’t surprised that all this came up. Not necessarily the manner in which it was said, or the exact things, but like I said: This was my first impression of him. Hit the flip for Blake’s views on religion, dating and his experiences as a new dad. Photo Credit: GQ/SebastianKim
