Smith Prosecutors Want Adrian Peterson Arrested For Smoking Pot On Bond According to TMZ reports : Prosecutors in Montgomery County, Texas, have filed paperwork to have Adrian Peterson’s bail revoked and the Minnesota Vikings running back re-arrested after he told a drug tester that he had recently smoked marijuana before taking a urinalysis test Wednesday. According to the filing signed by Bill Delmore, the Assistant District Attorney for the state of Texas, Peterson admitted to the worker that he had “smoked a little weed” before the test. Not taking any illegal drugs are common terms to adhere to when out on bond. “In light of this statement, and the fact that it was made during the urinalysis testing process, and the term ‘weed’ is a common slang term for marijuana, the state argues that the defendant has smoked marijuana while on bond,” the district attorney’s office wrote. Peterson has been free on $15,000 bond on a charge of felony child abuse. A trial has tentatively been set to begin Dec. 1. There cannot be any action on the bond revocation or any arrest warrant issued before a hearing is held on whether the judge hearing Peterson’s case should be recused. No hearing has been scheduled and likely won’t happen until next week at the earliest. The block is hot NBA Commissioner Adam Silver To Review Domestic Violence Policy Via CBSSports Adam Silver spoke with reporters at a charity event in Brooklyn to open a refurbished court damaged in Hurricane Sandy Monday, and discussed the recent events of controversy in sports, including saying the NBA would look to examine its domestic violence policy in light of the Ray Rice controversy that has plagued the NFL. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has come under fire for the league’s investigation and response to Rice’s recorded assault of his then-fiancee. The firestorm over the incident put Goodell under scrutiny from media and social critics., and the Adrian Peterson alleged child abuse scandal has further rocked the league. Silver made it clear that the events have prompted a review of policies at the NBA’s offices. Meanwhile, Silver said in light of the NBA’s own most recent controversy involving the leaked scouting report read by Hawks GM Danny Ferry that resulted in his leave of absence, and an internal investigation by the team that lead to owner Bruce Levensen pledging to sell the team, that the NBA isn’t looking to go digging through the owners’ “closets.” Can’t blame him, the NBA has their own problems without adding domestic violence to the list. Adrian Peterson has been accused of child abuse for the second time in less than a week. According to a new report by KHOU, the Minnesota Vikings running back sent a different four-year old son back to his mother last June with a scar on his forehead. The station says Peterson sent the mother a text message that claimed the toddler smacked his head on a car seat… but when the boy’s mother pressed the issue, Peterson admitted to striking hitting the child. This story is developing. UPDATE: Sources tell TMZ that the the child accidentally hit his head on a car seat while being punished by Peterson, but Peterson did not directly hit the boy. KHOU has uncovered the actual text messages sent between Peterson and this woman. They read: Mother: “What happened to his head?” Peterson: “Hit his head on the Carseat.” Mother: “How does that happen, he got a whoopin in the car.” Peterson: “Yep.” Mother: “Why?” Peterson: “I felt so bad. But he did it his self.” In a subsequent text, Peterson told the mother that if the child had simply remained “still” and taken his “whooping,” he would not have hit his head. The Houston TV station reports the mother of the four-year-old filed a report with Child Protective Services, but no charges have been filed. Meanwhile, Peterson was arrested on charges of negligent or reckless injury to a child over the weekend. He admitted to the authorities that he “whooped” another four-year old child with a switch , text messaging that boy’s mother (who is a different woman than the original woman cited above) that he felt bad for going so far with his beating. The Vikings sat Peterson for yesterday’s game against the Patriots, but have reinstated him for next Sunday’s contest against the Saints. He issued a lengthy apology earlier today in which apologized for the latest incident, said he’s been seeing a psychologist and that he’s working to be a better father and person .
