Justin Bieber desperately wants to win Selena Gomez back. She wants none of this, according to dueling reports today. “He is texting her like crazy trying to stay in her good graces,” a source told the Huffington Post , noting that a “desperate” Bieber will stop at nothing. “If either one of them slows down and they actually have the chance to spend time together again, he is sure they will end up back together.” Selena, who has spent the last day blocking her phone and other communication methods so Justin cannot contact her, may have missed that memo. He’s been living it up – and reportedly contemplating nailing supermodels – but he’s promised to stop texting other girls if Selena will take him back. Selena wants no contact whatsoever with Justin, however, so whatever they tried to hash out during their big sit-down Sunday apparently didn’t work. She has blocked her phone (which includes texting). She’s still following Justin on Twitter, but he’s been blocked from all other forms of contact. And get this: According to TMZ, the Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez breakup “absolutely, positively involved another woman” … though it’s unclear who. There’s been speculation that it’s a Victoria’s Secret model, but it’s unclear. All we know is Selena has “trust issues” and is repulsed by Miley Cyrus . That’s all for now. Chad Johnson has been formally charged with battery following his alleged attack on Evelyn Lozada last month. He faces up to a year in jail if convicted. The former Ochocinco was arrested for domestic violence in Florida after a fight over a condom receipt allegedly got violent and he head-butted his wife . She filed for divorce days later after less than six weeks of marriage. Broward County, Fla., officials made the decision to charge Chad today. Evelyn Lozada claims their marriage had become “irretrievably broken” and has made it clear there will be no reconciling with the former NFL star here. Chad apparently didn’t get the memo, as he’s refusing to sign divorce papers , insisting he’s still in love with her and telling off his critics on Twitter. He also got a tattoo of Ev’s face on his leg. Her face. Johnson was also dropped from the Miami Dolphins – on HBO’s Hard Knocks no less – following his arrest and is now a free agent. Any NFL takers out there? Hello?
Rumors of Ashton Kutcher and Rihanna hooking up apparently didn’t sit well with ex-wife Demi Moore, who was “sick to her stomach” and “devastated.” Grazia magazine quotes a source as saying, “Demi is constantly keeping tabs on Ashton. When these pics came up she was understandably crushed.” “Demi’s convinced something happened between them and felt sick.'” The publication also cites a source saying that the alleged relationship between Rih and Ash – which was a one-night stand, if that – ” sent Demi spiraling .” This comes just weeks after Moore checked out of rehab, though. Another source tells Closer magazine, which not only exists, but features Octomom nude on its new cover: “Demi can’t believe Ashton would do this.” “She’s really hurt by the recent rumors and feels humiliated he’s being linked to other celebrities just a few weeks after she got out of rehab.” “She feels it cheapens their marriage even further.” Moore and Kutcher ended their marriage in November 2011 amidst rumors of repeated infidelity on the part of the Two and a Half Men star. Meanwhile, at a press conference in London for her new movie Battleship , Rihanna was asked by a ballsy reporter if Kutcher would be visiting her. “Wow, how disappointing was that question,” the 24-year-old singer said. “I’m happy and I’m single, if that’s what you’re really asking.” Which clears up nothing, as you can be single and have one-night stands all the time … but she was disappointed by the question, so there’s that. It’s also worth noting that Rihanna’s security team and her car were seen at Ashton’s place, late night. There were no photos of the two together. We can understand Demi being a little thrown off by the one-night stand rumors, but you can’t believe every piece of celebrity gossip you read.
The Kardashians stand accused of using “slave labor” and turning a blind eye to human rights atrocities to produce their multimillion dollar fashion lines. A human rights group is investigating claims that workers in China – as young as 16 – work in squalor to manufacture merchandise for the famous family. The labels in question: K-Dash by Kardashian (which Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are all involved with), the Kris Jenner Kollection and ShoeDazzle, according to Star . The institute for Global Labour and Human Rights has in fact launched an investigation, amidst claims the Kardashians’ products are inhumanely produced. With factories reeking of stench from sewage and temperatures north of 100 degrees, an official from the group says conditions in the area are “horrific.” There are also claims the employees work up to 84 hours a week, earning $1 an hour … while the Kardashians rake in approximately $65 million a year. However, a leader of the human rights group quoted in the story implying the Kardashians use “slave labor” says the story is misleading in many ways. Charles Kernaghan, Executive Director of the Institute for Global Labour and Human Rights, says he told Star , “It was a wise idea to wait on the article.” Reason being: No proof had been found that the specific factories the Kardashians use violate child labor standards or human rights. That’s a good reason. Kernaghan is quoted as saying, “The Kardashians are in bed with some pretty bad people” and “not only are they taking advantage of these workers, they are holding hands with a government that spits on democracy and women’s rights.” Kernaghan tells says his quotes were taken out of context, though, that the violations he described to Star apply to the REGION in China where clothing and other items are manufactured, where child labor practices are often quite appalling. Again, he was not calling out specific factories the Kardashians use. At least not yet. Kernaghan does say that at least 75 percent of the factories in the region have violations similar to the ones described in Star . Kris Jenner tells TMZ in response to the story that factories the Kardashians use are “strictly policed” to avoid child labor or human rights violations. The company behind the Kardashian shoe line is also adamant that there are no violations and that the “agency” making the claim has not contacted them. Robert Shapiro, the famous lawyer-turned-entrepreneur (he and the girls’ father, Robert Kardashian Sr., co-defended O.J. Simpson), owns ShoeDazzle and says he invests time, energy and money to ensure the factories are in good standard. One of the people who has personally visited the factories is ShoeDazzle COO Deborah Benton, who weighed in as such: “These issues of child labor are always of paramount importance to us. We’ve been very focused on this from the very beginning.” She adds, “Factories are routinely inspected and always pass inspection.”
More than a million Google+ users are keeping tabs on Britney Spears, who continues to be one of the most popular human beings on social networks. She is currently the first and only person to crack seven figures . In reaching the milestone, Spears beat Google CEO Larry Page and rapper / spiritual adviser (seriously, his Google Plus bio says that) Snoop Dogg. Not even six months old, Google Plus is already making a name for itself, although we’re guessing Jason Alexander is not one of the 1,078,900 following her there. Those followers pale in comparison to her 15.7 million Facebook fans and 11.9 million Twitter followers – two million of whom started following her since October. Oh well, give it time, Google Plus. We have faith. NOTE : Connect with THG on Google+ today!
The Game’s concert in Norway got ugly last night when the rapper dodged a flying bottle. Not taking kindly to the near miss, he went into the crowd after the guy! Game first warned the person, “Next time you throw something, I’m gonna ask someone next to you who threw it and we gon’ jump over there and f–k you up.” That apparently didn’t do the trick, since he charged into the crowd soon after. In the clip below, The Game can be heard saying, “You ain’t so tough now, boy.” He then returned to the stage very quickly, so we’re thinking no one ended up worse for the wear. Conflict resolution at its best. Check out the live exchange: The Game vs. Fan
Singer Adam Levine instigated a full scale Twitter war with Fox News after asking that the “evil f-cking channel” no longer play his songs last night. It’s unclear at what point Fox featured his songs and which one(s), but he apparently didn’t take kindly to it, firing off this scathing Tweet Wednesday. And then all social media hell broke loose. Several of the network’s anchors, surprisingly, hit back: “Dear Adam Levine, don’t make crappy f-cking music again,” Andy Levy wrote. “Thank you.” Redeye host Greg Gutfeld then took aim at the Maroon 5 frontman: “Why did Maroon 5 cross the road?” he asked. “Because crappy music is legal there!” Gutfeld then retweeted some of Levine’s musings and added some sarcastic commentary. Sample tweet, with his response preceding Adam’s original: Names that sound alike: Maroon 5 and crap. @adamlevine Names that sound alike: @kelseygrammer and @chelseahandler. Levine has never shied away from stirring up controversy on Twitter, but this is taking it to new heights. From an entertainment standpoint, keep it up! [Photo: WENN.com]
Wherever Casey Anthony is hiding, she’s got two weeks to come out. America’s most hated person has just been ordered by a judge to return to her native Orlando, Fla., to begin probation in her check fraud case. Judge Belvin Perry ruled that Casey Anthony must return by August 26 to serve one year of probation, but her address may remain confidential. Last year, Casey admitted to fraudulently using others’ checks to buy clothes and groceries in the month after daughter Caylee disappeared. Her lawyers previously argued that it is too dangerous for her to return to the area and that she had completed the probation while in jail. Judge Perry apparently didn’t buy either defense argument. Anthony, 25, was acquitted of murder July 5. While she was convicted on four counts of lying to police, she had spent nearly 1,000 days in custody by that point, so she was released July 17 and immediately went into hiding. Somehow we don’t expect people in Orlando will be thrilled to have the accused child killer back. The weather may be warm, but her welcome will not be. A Caylee Anthony birthday memorial was held on what would have been the little girl’s sixth birthday Wednesday. Casey’s parents attended. Casey did not. She was last seen in Ohio last week. No clue where she is now, or when she will return to the Sunshine State, but she’s gotta do it, or else. How would you have ruled in the Casey Anthony case?
