I know some of you are probably starting to get sick of hearing me complain about the modeling industry and how none of these so-called supermodels deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the hotties I grew up drooling over. But here’s Gigi Hadid ‘s new photoshoot for Glamour ‘s December issue and apparently not only did her rich parents buy her the cover, they also bought her a spot on their Women of the Year list. That’s just sad.
Hit records, fashion endorsements and being one of the biggest artists in the world is apparently not enough to satisfy bombshell Rihanna, as she continues to fill her already-crowded resume with acting jobs. The latest role Riri has landed is in the all-female spinoff of the popular 2001 film Ocean’s Eleven, which starred George Clooney, […]
I’d never heard of Romee Strijd before this, and I thought I knew every Victoria’s Secret hottie out there. But apparently not, because according to my sources, the Dutch model is a Victoria’s Secret “newcomer,” which means it’s time for her official initiation. So first I have to drool over her in a bikini, then Romee needs to send me some lingerie selfies and accept my Twitter marriage proposal. I know it sounds a little weird, but trust me, everyone does it. …OK, not really. But I think it’s about time we started a new tradition. Photos: Fameflynet
Miley Cyrus’ parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, are divorcing. Tish cited “irreconcilable differences” in her official paperwork, filed this week. They’ve been married for 19 years, and have five children together, including Miley. There’s only one minor child left, Noah Cyrus, who is 13. Billy Ray filed for divorce from Tish three years ago, but eventually dropped the petition in an attempt to work things out, which it appeared they had. This time, it was his better half who filed . She is asking for full physical and legal custody of Noah, with visitation rights granted to Billy Ray. Tish is also seeking spousal support and attorney’s fees. How’s Miley handling it? Earlier today, she tweeted at her old man: “Since your texts and email obviously aren’t working would you like to talk like this?” So, apparently not well. Incidentally, Billy Ray strongly suggested that their previous marital strife was caused by Miles’ fame. It’s not clear what prompted this split or if it’ll take. Story developing …
After a long investigation, bigamy charges will not be filed against Kody Brown and his four spouses, who gained prominence last year on TLC’s show Sister Wives . The Utah County Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that it will not pursue a criminal case against the Browns, based on the office’s interpretation of state law. Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Buhman said that his office has adopted a formal policy not to prosecute the practice of bigamy unless it occurs in conjunction with another crime or if parties to the marriage or relationship is under 18. “The purpose of this policy is to prevent the future prosecution in Utah County of bigamist marriages entered into for religious reasons,” Buhman wrote. “The criminal case against the Browns is now closed, and no charges will be filed against them for bigamy,” unless new evidence is discovered, he said. Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, issued a statement Thursday, saying they are “delighted by the news that the prosecutors have formally declared that the investigation of our family is at an end.” “We have spent years under investigation and ultimately had to move from the state of Utah to protect our family and particularly our children,” they said. “The decision to create the new policy in light of our lawsuit is wonderful news for not just ourselves but the many thousands of plural families in Utah.” Attorneys for the Browns aren’t dropping their challenge to the law. The Browns sued Utah last year, and attorney Jonathan Turley said that will continue. “While I am pleased that the prosecutors are promising to leave this family alone, the decision will not end our challenge to the state law,” Turley wrote. Attorneys for the Browns filed an 80-page motion and Thursday “challenging the anti-bigamy law on seven distinct constitutional and statutory grounds.” In February, a federal judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to allow the Browns to pursue a lawsuit contesting the constitutionality of Utah’s bigamy law. Should the Sister Wives cast have been prosecuted?
Memo to Lil Wayne: You need “tickets” to get into an “event.” If the tickets are sold out, then you usually can’t go. Sometimes there are exceptions, but usually not for a game that has already been sold out for weeks, and generally not for seats better than 99.9 percent of the people who bought them already. Lil Wayne learned this the hard way last night. Weezy felt like going to Thursday’s NBA playoff tilt between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the visiting San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder, with no seats to spare (least of all any courtside seats, which he insisted on sitting in), politely declined. Thunder spokesman Dan Mahoney says Lil Wayne’s reps did contact the team requesting tickets, but insisted he sit on the front row, and no seats were available. Oklahoma City sold out every game during the regular season and playoffs this year. Mahoney says: “We’d love to have him, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket.” Makes sense to us. But apparently not LW, who Tweeted this: That’s right, denied by the team, as if they were making some kind of statement. What a douche. Also, no way he was rooting for the Spurs last night. None.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville admits she’s got quite a temper and likes to speak her mind, but does not actually wish to kill LeAnn Rimes . In an interview with Australia’s NW magazine earlier this week, the 39-year-old admitted she had violent urges the first time she saw LeAnn with her children. “I remember walking up and there she was with my baby in her lap,” she said of the woman Eddie Cibrian left her for, then married. “My blood was boiling … I thought I was going to kill her. I really thought I was going to physically hurt her.” But Glanville clarified to E! News that while her “total irrational fury” was real, and not even something she regrets, she never meant to literally threaten LeAnn’s life. “Every mother has those protective mother-bear feelings, but I obviously didn’t want to kill her,” she said. “It was a figure of speech.” She also revealed that Sunday, she and Rimes exchanged Mother’s Day emails, and that they’ve had three-ways (in therapy) with Cibrian to “open up lines of communication.” Brandi Glanville admitted that like many other moments in this ongoing truce, group therapy has been “uncomfortable” at times, but overall a positive experience that’s enabled them to act civilly for the sake of the children. That’s good at least. Glanville says she even invited her ex-husband and Rimes over for Easter. “I did it for the kids. I don’t know many ex-wives who would do that,” she said. “I’m not a hateful person.” Just a slightly crazy one.
It just keeps getting worse for Nadya Suleman. Octomom’s Chapter 7 papers were apparently not filed properly and have been rejected by the judge , leaving her bankruptcy filing null and void. Yes, this is really possible … you learn something every day. In any case, her creditors are now free to come after her in full force. Hooray? Octomom filed for bankruptcy on April 30, but according to documents filed Tuesday, Nadya didn’t file all the necessary paperwork in time. Nor did she ask the court for an extension, so her case was dismissed. Without the Chapter 7 protection, all the people she owes bank to can come a-callin’ … and her list of creditors is quite long. Totaling over $500,000. Let’s hope Octomom’s porn video career generates some much-needed revenue for her. The beleaguered mother of 14 needs to keep her DirecTV. [Photo: WENN.com]
