Deandre Somerville, 21, overslept and missed his August appointment which led to his arrest in court. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge John Kastrenak saw fit to give Somerville, a college student who has never been in trouble, was given 10 days in jail, 150 hours of community service, ordered to write an apology, and one year of probation. The sentencing prompted outrage on social media with many stating the judge went overboard. Those cries were heard as the judge lowered Somerville’s sentence although, adding insult to injury, he wants the man to serve as a spokesperson for the seriousness and responsibility of jury duty according to a report from the Sun-Sentinel . Somerville told local NBC affiliate WPTV that he learned a valuable lesson but that the experience has changed his life forever. — Photo: Getty
There were fights. There was a Russian satellite sighting. There was a forest fire. There was romance. And there was the ongoing threat of The Whisperers on The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 1. But was there a reason to keep tuning in, after a handful of subpar years for a show that used to dominate the ratings and the discussions at all workplace watercoolers? Let’s find out, shall we? The premiere opened with a gigantic training montage, depicting nearly all our favorite survivors getting into formation to do battle with a horde of water-logged walkers from a shipwreck at Oceanside. Aaron was leading the charge — and they came across like a very well-oiled machine at the outside; everyone had a job and the organization was impressive. Behind the front line of spiked shields, there were archers, spear throwers, Magna rocking an axe and both Michonne and Judith putting their swords to good use. Well done all around! Due to the devastation of the fair massacre, it was evident they wanted to be ready for another attack from either The Whisperers themselves… or the massive horde Alpha and her followers threatened to sent in their direction. Cut to Judith and RJ playing on the beach, where they discover one of the still-disturbing flesh masks in the sand, sparking significant concern from the adults. Michonne, of course, didn’t want to start a panic, thereby agreeing to send out a group to scout the surrounding area. As she and Aaron were on their lookout, they went back and forth on whether they were truly “the good guys” or “the villains to someone else’s story” — before he crossed over into Whisper territory to take out a handful of walkers. Michonne was pissed he defied Alpha’s warning, while Aaron was equally angry she obeyed it in the first place. While these two fought it out, Aaron said he’s “god damn sick of being nice,” something Michonne said never worked for her either. “Smart did,” she told him. “They have a nuclear weapon and we don’t,” she added, referring to their horde. “Believe me, I hate this too.” Thinking of all those who have died, Michonne went back to the original question at hand, saying “we have to choose to be the good guys, even when it’s hard.” While all this was taking place, fans got caught up with a few other characters as well. To wit: Kelly is losing her hearing, a development that was taking an emotional toll on her. For understandable reasons. Connie was helping her deal, reassuring her everything will be okay — and saying being deaf “is not a disability, it’s a damn superpower.” Connie also had some romantic sparks with Daryl, who had been learning sign language to communicate with her better. As for Carol? She was been spending her time at sea … away from Ezekiel, from whom she split in the Season 9 finale after the death of Henry. They had a very awkward reunion on the dock before she ran off for some one-on-one time with Daryl, who adorably referred to her his “best friend.” They also got into it a little over Alpha and the Whisperers because Carol didn’t wanna stick to their boundaries and Daryl was more cautious. He said he wouldn’t join her on the high seas while they cooked up their ideal future together: driving West to New Mexico to “see who’s left.” Over in Alexandria, Eugene appeared to have the most interest in Rosita and Siddiq’s baby, while she mainly preoccupied herself by, well, working out. Siddiq, conversely, was grappling with PTSD as the only survivor of the Whisperer attack, prompting him to slip on his duties as a new father. The love quadrangle between Rosita, Eugene, Siddiq and Gabriel is clearly not over. Watch The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 1 Online Lydia, meanwhile, had bonded a bit with Negan, due to their status as outsiders in the town thanks to their pasts with enemy groups. She was also in school, learning how to read for the first time with a group of much younger classmates. Negan — still in prison but granted time in the garden under watchful eye — knew he was starting to look pretty good compared to the Whisperers and was down with his reputation as “the guy that picks the vegetables and takes out the trash.” Hence the photo above. Soon enough, a satellite crashed to earth, throwing almost everyone into chaotic action. The crash caused a giant fire in the forrest, which Michonne and her people on the beach rushed to put out, despite being over the Whisperer line. They dug a fire line to stop it from going elsewhere, but the sound of the flames and everything going on attracted a ton of walkers. Finally, with the fire out at last, Eugene inspected the satellite for some technology, prior to Daryl asking Carol to not leave again — “otherwise I’m going to have to punch holes in all them boats.” Then, in the show’s final moment, Alpha walked into a clearing, looked up and locked angry eyes with Carol, setting a surefire showdown between these two over Henry. We have a feeling she’s not going anywhere.
It's been almost two years since Farrah Abraham was fired from Teen Mom 2 . Many of Farrah's harshest critics had hoped that by this point, she would be working the drive-thru window at Wendy's and regaling her teenage co-workers with tales of her former life as a wealthy TV personality. Alas, Sophia's mom somehow continues to afford an opulent lifestyle. So how does Farrah continue to travel the world in style despite the fact that she's never performed an honest day's work? Well, the short answer is “sex work.” But if you want a much longer and more delusional answer, Ms. Abraham is more than happy to provide you with one: 1. The Farrah System Farrah Abraham enjoys a life of luxury. And she thinks you could do the same — if only you would stop acting like a broke loser and try to be more like her. 2. The High Life In recent months, Farrah and her 10-year-old daughter Sophia have attended red carpet events in Venice, New York, and several points in between. 3. Full Disclosure Granted, the New York event was a launch party for Jenelle Evans’ cosmetics line, but you get the point. 4. Broke With Expensive Taste And how does Ms. Abraham manage such a lifestyle when she hasn’t worked full-time since 2017? 5. Still Grindin’ Well, for a while there, she had managed to score a second gig as an MTV reality star, appearing on the trash-tastic series Ex on the Beach. 6. Cam Mom And then there’s the online sex work, of course. Farrah hasn’t appeared in a proper adult film since the infamous Backdoor Teen Mom, but you can still pay to watch one of her live cam performances. View Slideshow
I was in a bad place in my life and my relationship and I acted out of anger & immature resentment… I’ve grown & wouldn’t want to hurt my girlfriend or my daughter, everyone makes mistakes and you’ll see that I learned from mine. I wouldn’t never put myself in that position again to hurt the two people I love the most in my life. I want to lead by example for my daughter and how to be a real man and I need to lead how to be a good boyfriend/husband. I’m sorry. This is what Ronnie Ortiz-Magro said in November of 2018. Fast forward nearly a year… and the Jersey Shore star was arrested for attacking Jen Harley with a knife, reportedly because he was on cocaine and allegedly while holding his 18-month old daughter in his arms. In other words: Ronnie has learned almost nothing, and changed barely at all. While there are major personal ramifcations at stake for Ronnie as a result of this incident — Will he go to jail? Will he lost custody of young Ariana? — there’s also a professional consequence. It’s about time we wonder whether Ronnie deserves to be featured on MTV any longer, don’t you think? According to various outlets, Ronnie completely flipped his $hit just before 3 a.m. on Friday. He and Harley reportedly got into yet another screaming match, this one turning violent and dangerous for all involved. Ronnie is accused of chasing his on-again/off-again girlfriend around with a weapon and then grabbing the couple’s infant daughter and locking him inside the home the couple had been renting. When police arrived on the scene, Ronnie refused to be taken into custody… prompting authorities to use a taser in order to subdue the reality star. Photos later emerged of a shirtless Ronnie being wheeled away on a gurney while handcuffed. View Slideshow: Ronnie Magro Attacks Jen Harley With a Knife, Gets Arrested and Tased By Cops Ronnie was arrested for assault against Harley and a charge of kidnapping has since been added to the record. Is he innocent until proven guilty? Yes. But one need not be convicted of a crime to be fired from a reality program. Just ask Farrah Abraham , who was let go from Teen Mom because she starred in amateur pornography videos. Or Jenelle Evans , who was booted from the same franchise because Child Protection Services deemed her an unfit mother — even though no charges were ever filed against her. Raking in money from a cable network and garnering vast fame and fortune as a result of a role on Jersey Shore is a privilege, not a right. Ronnie doesn’t need to be a certified criminal for producers to decide that his time on the series has run its course. So… should they make this call? Has Ronnie’s contentious relationship with Harley — which has included multiple arrests at this point, as well as very ugly fights over social media — created a situation in which Ortiz-Magro is simply too poisonous of a presence to employ? He’s a father, remember. There’s an innocent little girl in the middle of all this, someone who may sadly have to read about her parents awful exploits online because they’re featured on a popular television show. This is why we’re asking you to vote below: SHOULD MTV FIRE RONNIE ORTIZ-MAGRO FROM JERSEY SHORE? And the Winner is? Absolutely! Click Here To Vote for Absolutely! No way! Source: MediaNews Group/Torrance Daily Breeze via Getty Images / Getty Snoop Dogg’s Performance At The University Of Kansas Didn’t Go Over Well A performance from the one-and-only Snoop Dogg brought some controversy to the University of Kansas . The college ended up issuing an apology on Friday night after the rapper performed as part of the “Late Night in the Phog” preseason celebration, which follows scrimmages by both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. The 35-minute set Snoop brought to Allen Fieldhouse featured women on stripper poles doing what women do on stripper poles, along with shooting fake money into the crowd, and performing the unedited versions of his hit songs, like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Gin and Juice.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on Oct 4, 2019 at 10:07pm PDT The vulgarity of the show reportedly raised some eyebrows, which led to Kansas’ athletic director Jeff Long issuing a statement to the Kansas City Star . In the apology, he explains that the school expected a “clean version” of the performance from the legendary rapper. “We apologize to anyone who was offended by the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night. We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show,” the statement said. “I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.” There’s no word on how the university and Snoop Dogg had such a different understanding of what the performance was supposed to be, but in Snoop’s defense, it’s easy to see why he might have thought a “Late Night” event was meant to push the envelope a little bit. In the video posted by the Long Beach native following his show, the crowd at Allen Fieldhouse seemed to be loving the performance as they lowdly cheered him on. After word of the controversy got out, Snoop brushed it off by sharing a short statement on Instagram which seems to be in response to those saying he did too much. “Thank. U for letting me be me. This is America,” he captioned the post. View this post on Instagram Thank. U for letting me be me . This is America A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on Oct 5, 2019 at 2:29pm PDT

This week, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way viewers were totally weirded out by Liam and Aladin’s awkward bath house conversation . Some fans thought that Liam was too far, that he was being rude and selfish and even childish, wanting his mom to come home and take care of him. Now, however, we’re learning that the truth is the opposite. AnDre Leila took to social media in an impassioned defense of his son, Liam. “Just wanted to set things straight,” the clarifying post begins. “To anyone who says Liam is dumb or disrespectful,” he addresses his message. “Or has mental problems.” He asserts: “You people are dumb as s–t.” Wow. Tell us how you really feel, dude. “For one thing, Laura was living off of Liam in Floriday,” Leila reveals. “He made the money,” he reveals. “And supported the household.” The post continues: “So he does not want money from her.” Some had speculated that Liam wanted Laura to return to the US so that he could mooch off of her. Leila states that it’s quite to the contrary, “’cause she is broke as f–k.” “Another thing,” Leila writes. “Is he was not rude to that dude.” He says that “TLC cut and spliced film to make it look like he was disrespectful.” Apparently this was “so all you idiots could talk about it like this.” That … is very easy to believe, actually. What follows, folks, is getting into spoiler territory. Be warned. “Laura is already divorced from that dude and is living in Ecuador for whatever reason,” Leila writes. Yes, we have already reported that Laura and Aladin are divorcing and that Laura is currently in Ecuador with Evelin. He argues: “You can’t fault a kid for loving his mom and wanting what’s best for her.” “You don’t know what he has gone through,” the post continues. “With all of the red neck f–ks she has dated.” We can imagine. Sometimes very nice and loving mothers have abhorrent taste in men. “Trust me,” Leila tells anyone reading. “Laura is a crazy mess.” In contrast: “Liam is a very level-headed, intelligent kid.” His post concludes: “I know this because he is my son!” It’s good to hear that explained, even if it is by a third party who was not present at the time. Incidentally, we have heard other things about Laura that may explain even more — things that even Liam’s father does not know. Laura was reportedly served with divorce papers from Aladin while she was filming the Tell All special. So what do we know that Liam’s father does not? Well, for one thing, she’s in Ecuador to hang out with Evelin … possibly because she has no other place to go. And why is that? Because she’s spent the past few decades living in Florida … but she’s not a native Floridian. Nor is she even an American. If reports are to be believed, Laura Canadian. And apparently she was in Florida as an undocumented immigrant for all of this time. Her son is an American and was providing her with a roof over her head for years. Now, Liam can’t house his mother anymore and she has to figure out her next move because she can’t return to the US. It’s no wonder that Liam was so, so concerned about his mother. She can never come back home. No jiggy-jiggy is worth that. View Slideshow: 90 Day Fiance The Other Way Spoilers: Do Tiffany and Ronald Make It?
Blake Horstmann went from Paradise to hot water this summer when he published Caelynn Miller-Keyes’ lewd texts for all to see. The Bachelor Nation was understandably disturbed this this breach of privacy, but some took it too far. Blake’s family was bombarded with furious messages from strangers. And Blake himself received death threats. Blake Horstmann was a guest on Bachelor Happy Hour with Rachel & Ali to discuss the fallout form his choices. Speaking on the podcast, he related how intense the backlash got after he exposed Caelynn’s private text messages. “My family started getting DMs … and when your family comes in [the picture], it changed everything for me,” Blake expresses. “I was just like, ‘Yes, this is hard,'” he admits. “Lots of death threats,” Blake recalls. “My grandma started getting DM’s at one point.” Caelynn Miller-Keyes revealed on Bachelor in Paradise that Blake had hooked up with her — but not only her. She was not the only member of the Bachelor Fam whom he boffed. When he seemed to almost ignore her in Paradise, she did not take it well and explained exactly why. Blake retaliated as the episodes aired by exposing their private text messages on social media. He felt that they told his side of the story — that yes, he boned Kristina Schulman and Caelynn on back-to-back nights at the same festival. But he says that he didn’t just smash and run, and he felt that Caelynn had implied that he’d ghosted her after poundtown. “That night,” Blake relates. “When I released those text messages I was breathing into a paper bag.” “It was incredibly difficult for me,” he admits. “A decision like that,” he says. “You do reach out for advice and especially advice from people who have been in situations like me in Bachelor Nation.” “A lot of people,” Blake shares. “They didn’t even really say, ‘No, don’t do it.’ They were like ‘If you do it, know what the consequences are.'” “I did reach out and there were a few that were like ‘The things she’s saying, you have to do it. I don’t see any other choice,'” he claims. “When people say it was premeditated or whatever,” Blake says. “it was such a hard decision for me.” “I felt like that was the only thing I could do to get my truth out there,” Blake insists. He adds: “because I didn’t know a lot of things she was saying when I was down there.” “Had I known that she said I was silencing her and all of these things,” Blake says. “I would have addressed it on the beach with her.” “But I had no idea she was saying those things,” he repeats. Blake concludes: “And, so when I watched it, I was shook.” Shooketh though he may have been, releasing somebody else’s texts was the wrong call. Caelynn was discussing how she felt after their hookup and then non-reunion in Paradise. His texts didn’t prove anything except that he’s the kind of guy who releases text messages to the public from his sexual partner. However, the death threats? That is never okay. Texting his family? Majorly creepy and horrific. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 24: Meet the Women! Already!
