In association with the NFL’s ‘ Inspire Change ‘ initiative, the league dropped a new feature starring LA natives DeSean Jackson and Snoop Dogg. They both detail the cultural impact of the late Nipsey Hussle on his community. The new feature titled The L.A. Marathon features the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver and the Long Beach rapper discussing Hussle’s legacy. Jackson, a Crenshaw native, recalls his first time meeting the “Victory Lap” rapper sometime between 1997, 1998 and their friendship. Jackson later links up with Uncle Snoop Dogg, and the “Gin & Juice” rapper shares the story of listening to Hussle’s music for the first time. During the reflective moment, a clip of the late rapper in his younger years is played. Jackson also links up with Neighborhood Nip’s bodyguard J Roc at basketball blessed with a mural of Nip. Jackson asks J Roc about the impact of his late friend in Los Angeles. “It’s because he never left. He lived and died where he came from, and he believed in everything. He believed in this community.” Jackson also stopped by all of the businesses Hussle owned talking with friends and associates. One person, in particular, the NFL chopped it up with the feature was David Gross who owner of the affordable co-working spacer Vector 90. Gross elaborated on how Nipsey helped usher in new businesses into the neighborhood. “For years, we didn’t have the resources to invest in our own communities. But as we have a generation or a couple generations that have found ways to make money, go back and put it to work and be the catalyst in your neighborhood, Nip lived that. He definitely saw it.” Jackson closes out the feature with some touching words about Hussle stating: “When I’m on the field and when I’m playing, I’m repping and I’m standing for what he talked about. Bath houses are very common in a lot of places (yes, they exist in the United States, too). And no, you won't get to see Aladin flaunt his sculpted body in whatever way you're imagining, either. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. As you can see in the video that we included, Aladin and Liam remain fully clothed. “You know, it’s like tradition, this, for our wedding,” Aladin explains to Liam, Laura's adult son. He's clearly just making conversation — putting off his more confrontational questions. “You know,” he continues. “Like, you come to the bath with all your friends, you know?” “When you prepare for your wedding, it’s a lot of stress. A lot,” Aladin correctly states. He adds: “So this day, like, the day of relax, you know?” Speaking to the camera, Aladin expresses his frustration with Liam. “He come across the world,” he remakrs. “And then he will prefer to stay in the hotel.” “It’s unbelievable,” Aladin expresses. “It’s bother me,” he admits. “Because he’s not show up for two days in my wedding.” “It’s weird, right?” Aladin asks. Now, Liam explains to him that he was really, genuinely sick. Traveling and then eating unfamiliar foods in an unfamiliar environment can absolutely do you in. Vacations are sometimes ruined that way. “Okay, that’s fine,” Aladin says. “But I feel like maybe you have problem. Maybe you want to tell me something.” “I mean yes, I did have some complaints about you,” Liam reluctantly admits. “And” he reveals. “I did make some comparisons to men in the past.” Liam stresses that this is not a personal beef that he has with Aladin — that Aladin didn't say or do something wrong, exactly. “It’s not that you offended me,” he promises his mother's new husband. “it’s the way I’ve always been with my mother’s past relationships,” LIam explains. “And you’re not any different.” “So,” he concludes. “I’m just going to leave it at that.” All kinds of awkward, folks. This conversation has really left a lot of fans divided. Some see Liam as an awkward, confrontational guy who's unwilling to let his mother live her life. Others think that he may have real concerns, and that he's seen a pattern in Laura's past choices in partners that we, the viewers, have not. (Suffice it to say that he's not the only guy who tries to look out for his mom who has a history of making disastrous choices in husbands) Given the recent allegations about Laura and Aladin's relationship , Liam may have been right on the money. Here's a hint: last we checked, Laura was hanging out with Evelin Villegas. Yes, really.

As of September 2019, Uncle Sam remains the undisputed champ of those who think it’s a game in these streets. The latest victim to the tax lien haymaker is none other than former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Peter Thomas . After being arrested earlier this year in Miami for a bounced check, the bad luck keeps on rolling in for Peter. His establishment, Sports One Bar & Lounge in Charlotte, North Carolina closed recently due to some serious financial troubles. According to reports from TMZ, the bar is more than $237,000 in debt, which ended up causing a federal tax lien. Thomas’ plan, you ask? To close the doors, pay the bill down, and then open his business right back up. This seems to show a pattern of bad money habits and the only person who’s gonna lose in this scenario will be Peter Thomas. The reason for all of this debt racking up was cited as certain investments in other projects–but you should probably pay the bills at the place generating your revenue before you invest elsewhere. As for his Miami arrest, his first his explanation was that his account was compromised and he didn’t know. Then, it was a thirsty booking agent who allegedly filed charges for no reason . Now, the Bachelor Nation knows for sure who was selected as Bachelor and has even met the new season’s contestants . But Mike Johnson was an incredibly popular contender: handsome, charming, and fresh on the minds of fans. He will not be the franchise’s first black Bachelor — and he and former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay have something to say about that. Rachel Lindsay was the first black Bachelorette in the entire franchise. As long overdue as her role as the leading lady was, The Bachelor series has gone on for nearly two decades without a black leading man. When Rachel was asked about this inexcusably overdue milestone, she was very diplomatic — but spoke her mind. “I think Peter seems like a very nice guy. He seems lovely,” she tactfully begins. “This is absolutely nothing against him,” she emphasizes. “But how many Peters have we seen before?” She answers her own question: “What season are we on? 24. So, we’ve seen 24 Peters.” “I’m bored,” Rachel expresses. “And it’s nothing personal against him.” “I want to be hopeful, but when you have a contestant like Mike Johnson, who seems to check all the boxes, how is he not the Bachelor ?” she asks. “I don’t understand,” Rachel laments. “I’m sure they have some reason for not picking him, and I’m going to trust in that.” “But at the same time,” she notes. “The system isn’t working in giving us a Bachelor who is a person of color.” “So we need to change the system,” Rachel suggests. “Something has to be done. Break the rules, step outside the box, give the people what they want.” When Mike Johnson sat down with Entertainment Tonight , they obviously asked him about Rachel’s views. “Congratulations to Peter first and foremost. Then in regards to what Rachel was saying, I do agree with Rachel,” Mike begins. He agrees that “that after 24 Bachelors, a black Bachelor should have been cast.” “But at the same time, ABC has been successful,” Mike acknowledges. “They know what they’re doing for their audience.” “They know what they’re looking for,” he points out. “I wasn’t the guy they were looking for at the moment.” “I did [say I thought it was going to be him],” Mike says of new leading man Peter Weber. “But that wasn’t because ABC told me.” “I just felt that way, and I will always be honest with the way I feel,” he explains. “And I felt that for what they were looking for,” Mike continues. “That Peter would be a really good fit.” “Why do I think it wasn’t me? I have no idea,” he admits. “I can only speak on my personality and the wonderful man that I am,” Mike adds. “I do know that Peter and I are two completely different people — both good people, kind-hearted people,” Mike observes. “But I do feel that I’m a bit more outspoken than Peter,” he assesses. “I’m a bit louder than Peter is. I have tattoos, and the obvious, I’m black.” “So we are very diverse and different in that regard as well,” he points out, gently acknowledging that race may be a deciding factor. “And we like different women.” Mike says. “I want to make sure the focus is centered around love because that’s what this show is about.” “So,” he continues. “Peter and I also are attracted to two different types of women as well.” When it comes to diverse casting, Mike has a lot to say: “Two parts on that — I think of diversity more than just black and white.” “And yes, Peter has a Cuban mom, but let’s just be honest — he’s white, right?” he says. That could be a controversial statement, but it’s important ot remember that Cuban-Americans exist across a racial and ethnic spectrum. “And that’s just being completely transparent,” Mike emphasizes. “I think that there should be an Asian lead, an Indian lead… diversity is not just black and white,” he says. “It’s not just salt and pepper.” “I feel that Rachel is extremely intelligent,” Mike correctly states. “She’s saying that from a statistical standpoint…” “if Peter likes one thing — not saying what he does like and he doesn’t like,” he says carefully. “But if he likes Caucasian women for example, then there may be a higher percentage of it being a Caucasian Bachelorette,” Mike reasons. “But I do know for a fact that ABC chooses based on personality,” he adds. “Who’s to say that one of the women of color may not be the Bachelorette next?” “But on Peter’s season,” Mike suggests. “He may have a higher likelihood of picking a woman who is Caucasian.” Honestly? I had never thought about how there’s a cyclical effect — more white Bachelors mean more white contestants. And since those contestants form (most of) the pool for the next Bachelorette, the cycle continues on and on. ABC’s hands aren’t tied by that, of course, but it does make it easier to appease racist fans by keeping most of the cast as white as snow on a golf course. While the United States was spared the brunt of Hurricane Dorian's impact after a close call, the storm brought utter devastation to the Bahamas, which may never fully recover from the impact. As a result, many who were loaded up and ready to assist in the clean-up efforts in Florida (or Alabama, if you went by President Donald John Trump's forecast), decided to set out for the Bahamas instead. Among those who made the trip were several members of the Duggar family, the controversial TLC reality stars turned humanitarians. And while assisting with hurricane relief efforts is generally a rather admirable pursuit, just about every project the Duggars undertake is motivated by their endless pursuit of the almighty dollar. Now, an investigation by some of their critics say their Bahamas trip was no different – and they may have done more harm than good during their time in the ravaged nation. Take a look: 1. The Team Jason, James, John David, and Jana Duggar all made the trip, along with their brother-in-law Austin Forsyth. As you can see, the oft-maligned Jana Duggar didn’t make the cut for the group photo. 2. Odd Woman Out Many fans were upset that the Duggars seemed to be downplaying the contributions of the only female volunteer – especially since this particular female seems to spend all her time supporting her family members while getting none of the attention or credit. But those Jana-related complaints soon gave way to even more troubling concerns. 3. Keeping Mum Typically, something like volunteering as part of a hurricane relief effort is something that the Duggars would go on crowing about for months – admirable, and positive PR for a family that needs it. 4. All Is Not Well But if you follow them on social media, you’ve likely noticed that they’re strangely quiet aboug their time in the Bahamas. It’s like they were never there. Why is this, you ask? 5. Austin Comes Home Joy-Anna Duggar posted this picture to celebrate Austin’s return just a few days after he left for the Bahamas, and as far as we can tell, the trip was never mentioned again by her or anyone else. 6. Helping or Hurting? The reason for this unexpected silence is not that the Duggars decided, for once, to be humble about their “humanitarian” efforts. Throughout the season, even though it seemed like these two were both really into one another, there was definitely some uncertainty on Chris’ part about whether or not he was serious about continuing their relationship after the show ends. And who can blame him? This season was Chris’ sixth (yes, sixth) time trying to find love in the Bachelor franchise, and he previously “retired” before coming back to this season of Bachelor in Paradise . But in the end, Bukowski realized that he was with the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Once the reunion came around, though, Katie’s engagement ring was nowhere in sight and things seemed to be rocky between the couple. Morton said she watched the show back and thought she would see how much Chris loved her throughout the episodes, but didn’t. She admitted that she feels insecure in her relationship, and after talking it out, Chris handed her her ring, she put it back on, and they kissed. This ending was pretty up in the air for fans who followed the couple all season long, but luckily for us, Chris and Katie posted to Instagram to let us know things are all good between them. Though neither of them have said whether or not marriage is anytime in the near future, their life as a couple seems to be better than ever after going through a rough patch. I’ve learned to be more direct, how to challenge myself and others, I’ve learned that I’m empathetic to a fault, that love languages are so important to understanding others, that self sabotage can be found in many forms, and BOY have I learned what patience looks like. But most of all, I’ve learned that happiness isn’t something to look for in your partner. Your partner can make you laugh but your partner is not responsible for your happiness. Happiness is found within and sharing that with each other is what lights up a room! Communication is the link to everything, which is something we sure did LACK in paradise and shortly after. It took us a few months to really get our bearings (especially with some exceptional and unexpected challenges). I know none of you will truly understand why things are the way they are but I ask that you trust me and support me as I navigate this new world of mine. Because I’m happy with me and we are finally happy with us. We have grown so much in our friendship and now in our relationship since that day. Like I said to both of our parents and I will say to you- I can’t promise you this relationship will be perfect (it won’t be/ it isn’t) and I can’t promise we will last forever. Honestly, some relationships don’t last after 20 years and some do, that’s life. But what I can promise you is that I take this seriously, won’t lose myself, I will always try my best, I will always keep it real, and we will have each other’s backs.
