Colton Underwood: Rachel Lindsay is MEAN to Raven Gates and to Me!!

Some things just aren’t meant to last forever. Don’t get us wrong, Rachel Lindsay married Bryan Abasolo after a long engagement. But she and Raven Gates had a massive falling out. Now, Colton Underwood is trying his hand at feuding and suggesting that Rachel must just hate everyone . Rachel Lindsay’s falling out with former bestie Raven Gates was pretty conspicuous after Raven missed every stage of Rachel’s wedding. So naturally, when Rachel appeared on Watch What Happens Live this week, fans got all kinds of nosy about it. In fact, Andy reveals that it was the number one question that fans had to ask. They asked her about that more than about her marriage to Bryan or about her thoughts on Peter as the 24th non-black Bachelor in a row . So when it came time to take phoned-in questions, Rachel responded. Rachel responds my shaking her head in chagrin. “What did she do to cause your falling out?” Andy asks. Rachel protests: “I can’t say. I promised I wouldn’t say.” “But,” Rachel offers. “It was enough for me to not want to be friends with her anymore.” “And you’re still not friends with her,” Andy asks for some almost pointless clarification. “No,” Rachel confirms. “Not at all. And I never will be.” Addressing it with Andy only made people more aware of Rachel and Raven’s falling out. For some reason, another member of the Bachelor Fam decided to weigh in. “Shocker,” Colton Underwood wrote on Instagram, his text dripping with sarcasm. “Rachel mad at another person?” his sarcastic comment continued. He then quits marveling in non-surprise and poses a semi-serious question. Colton asks: “Does she like anyone ?!” (Raven and Rachel are both extremely hot, especially in some of the photos in this post, so you’re welcome for balancing it out with Colton) Wait, does Colton have a beef with Rachel? When did that happen? “I’m not weighing in on the Rachel/Raven drama,” Colton clarified. And yet … that seems to be exactly what he chose to do. “I could care less about that,” he emphasized. “Not my business.” He then explains exactly why he decided to pipe up about Rachel being some sort of Negative Nelly. “What is my business,” Colton wrote. “Is the countless number of times she’s spoke poorly of me…” Countless times? It’s good to remember that not every Bachelor Fam conversation goes public. He continued, accusing: “including that time she ran her mouth about me to Cassie…” Oh, yeah, we could understand why he’d be annoyed about that. “Funny thing is,” the previously virginal hunk concluded. “I have never met her.” Naturally, you don’t have to have met someone to have an opinion — even a strong one — about them. That’s sort of what the Bachelor franchise is all about. Sure, the stars look for love, but millions of viewers form opinions. Rachel doesn’t have to meet Colton to decide that he’s, say, not the right man for Cassie to marry. By that same token, Colton doesn’t have to meet Rachel to decide that she’s been uncharitable towards him. Maybe they should hang out and get to know each other. We hear that Rachel is down a friend, anyway. In the mean time, we’ll continue to wonder what in the world Raven could have done for Rachel to permanently excise her from her life. Mike Johnson and Rachel Lindsay: They Should Have Cast a Black Bachelor!!

Now, the Bachelor Nation knows for sure who was selected as Bachelor and has even met the new season’s contestants . But Mike Johnson was an incredibly popular contender: handsome, charming, and fresh on the minds of fans. He will not be the franchise’s first black Bachelor — and he and former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay have something to say about that. Rachel Lindsay was the first black Bachelorette in the entire franchise. As long overdue as her role as the leading lady was, The Bachelor series has gone on for nearly two decades without a black leading man. When Rachel was asked about this inexcusably overdue milestone, she was very diplomatic — but spoke her mind. “I think Peter seems like a very nice guy. He seems lovely,” she tactfully begins. “This is absolutely nothing against him,” she emphasizes. “But how many Peters have we seen before?” She answers her own question: “What season are we on? 24. So, we’ve seen 24 Peters.” “I’m bored,” Rachel expresses. “And it’s nothing personal against him.” “I want to be hopeful, but when you have a contestant like Mike Johnson, who seems to check all the boxes, how is he not the  Bachelor ?” she asks. “I don’t understand,” Rachel laments. “I’m sure they have some reason for not picking him, and I’m going to trust in that.” “But at the same time,” she notes. “The system isn’t working in giving us a Bachelor who is a person of color.” “So we need to change the system,” Rachel suggests. “Something has to be done. Break the rules, step outside the box, give the people what they want.” When Mike Johnson sat down with Entertainment Tonight , they obviously asked him about Rachel’s views. “Congratulations to Peter first and foremost. Then in regards to what Rachel was saying, I do agree with Rachel,” Mike begins. He agrees that “that after 24 Bachelors, a black Bachelor should have been cast.” “But at the same time, ABC has been successful,” Mike acknowledges. “They know what they’re doing for their audience.” “They know what they’re looking for,” he points out. “I wasn’t the guy they were looking for at the moment.” “I did [say I thought it was going to be him],” Mike says of new leading man Peter Weber. “But that wasn’t because ABC told me.” “I just felt that way, and I will always be honest with the way I feel,” he explains. “And I felt that for what they were looking for,” Mike continues. “That Peter would be a really good fit.” “Why do I think it wasn’t me? I have no idea,” he admits. “I can only speak on my personality and the wonderful man that I am,” Mike adds. “I do know that Peter and I are two completely different people — both good people, kind-hearted people,” Mike observes. “But I do feel that I’m a bit more outspoken than Peter,” he assesses. “I’m a bit louder than Peter is. I have tattoos, and the obvious, I’m black.” “So we are very diverse and different in that regard as well,” he points out, gently acknowledging that race may be a deciding factor. “And we like different women.” Mike says. “I want to make sure the focus is centered around love because that’s what this show is about.” “So,” he continues. “Peter and I also are attracted to two different types of women as well.” When it comes to diverse casting, Mike has a lot to say: “Two parts on that — I think of diversity more than just black and white.” “And yes, Peter has a Cuban mom, but let’s just be honest — he’s white, right?” he says. That could be a controversial statement, but it’s important ot remember that Cuban-Americans exist across a racial and ethnic spectrum. “And that’s just being completely transparent,” Mike emphasizes. “I think that there should be an Asian lead, an Indian lead… diversity is not just black and white,” he says. “It’s not just salt and pepper.” “I feel that Rachel is extremely intelligent,” Mike correctly states. “She’s saying that from a statistical standpoint…” “if Peter likes one thing — not saying what he does like and he doesn’t like,” he says carefully. “But if he likes Caucasian women for example, then there may be a higher percentage of it being a Caucasian Bachelorette,” Mike reasons. “But I do know for a fact that ABC chooses based on personality,” he adds. “Who’s to say that one of the women of color may not be the Bachelorette next?” “But on Peter’s season,” Mike suggests. “He may have a higher likelihood of picking a woman who is Caucasian.” Honestly? I had never thought about how there’s a cyclical effect — more white Bachelors mean more white contestants. And since those contestants form (most of) the pool for the next Bachelorette, the cycle continues on and on. ABC’s hands aren’t tied by that, of course, but it does make it easier to appease racist fans by keeping most of the cast as white as snow on a golf course. (And yes, there are a lot of racist fans — Rachel saw lower ratings for her season, and it was not a coincidence) “Demi Lovato and I went on a date,” Mike confirmed, on a lighter note. “The woman is quite astounding and amazing, and that’s all I’ll say on that. ” View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 24: Meet the Women! Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux: Who Dumped Whom and Why?

As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have broken up after just two and a half years of marriage. On social media and in the tabloids, you can find countless theories about why the actors decided to call it quits , but Jen and Justin have been mum on the issue. Despite the standard request for privacy, however, sources close to the former couple have been spilling the tea so such reputable media outlets as People . And so, a clear picture of exactly what went wrong is beginning to emerge, and the details have many fans downright shocked. In the days after the split, the most common narrative was that Aniston left Theroux for Brad Pitt . Now, that story is being exposed for the fan fiction that it always appeared to be. For starters, those who know the couple best say Jen wasn’t the one to pull the plug on the relationship. “It seems Justin gave up many months ago,” a source close to the actress tells People . “For the past few months, he has spent very little time in L.A. Jen very recently started telling people that they were over. She seems okay now, but was still hoping as of a few weeks ago that they could figure things out.” It seems Jen and Justin chose a rather ironic date for their last face-to-face meeting: “They saw each other late at night on Valentine’s Day in L.A.,” the insider claims. “They decided together that they would make the announcement the next day. Justin flew on a private jet to L.A. to see Jen one last time.” The source adds that not only was Justin the one who decided to call it quits, it was his decision to go public with the breakup. “Jen didn’t want to announce it for as long as possible, because she wanted to avoid the media attention,” says the insider. “Jen hoped that Justin would be low-key on her birthday so people weren’t wondering why he wasn’t with her. But that’s not Justin’s style,” the informant adds. “He wanted to make the announcement so he can live his life.” While we may never find out exactly what caused the actors to part ways, the consensus seems to be that Justin is th one who called it quits. Given how closely Jen guards her privacy, it might be quite some time before more details emerge. View Slideshow: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux Split, and Twitter Has Some Feelings

Rachel Lindsay: Lauren Burnham Will Win The Bachelor! Show’s Over!

The Bachelor’s coveted hometown dates begin tonight, with Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s final four women introducing them to their families. According to one woman who’s been on both sides of this Bachelor milestone, however, three of them might as well not even bother … … because Arie’s made up his mind. Show’s over. Go home. Turn out the lights, move along, nothing more to see here folks. And Rachel Lindsay, last year’s star of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette , isn’t basing this on The Bachelor spoilers , either. In Lindsay’s view, Lauren Burnham wrapped this thing up on last week’s episode , before the hometown dates even began. The crazy part, Rachel writes, is not that Arie has an established favorite at this point, but that it’s her, in spite of red flags. Many red flags. Like very red, and a lot of flags. Rachel believes this is a major cause for alarm: “There are a lot of new things that Arie and Lauren B. are experiencing together but one thing remains constant: the lack of communication .” “This is surprising because [the] lovebirds are on this Italian adventure exploring a different country and one another for the first time.” “Still, they have nothing to talk about.” “Those are not red, white and green flags waving in the distance, those are red ones. Is it just me or is this not alarming?” she continues. “Arie is again concerned about his relationship with Lauren B., as he should be. I, too, am worried that there is no depth in this relationship.” Lindsay notes that Arie himself even admits that “he is trying so hard … harder than in any other relationship” to make it work. Why, though? Is that part of the appeal of Lauren Burnham ? “I wonder: is this love, infatuation, or just the hard-to-get challenge of it all?” Even when she did open up, “she only says she is falling in love with her words because there is absolutely no emotion in her face.” His response? “Arie gets up and walks away.” “We never get the full answer of why he does this, but my best guess is that he is overcome with so much emotion that she is falling for him.” What the heck is going on with these two!? Rachel’s theory on what happened? “I personally think he took a moment to run off, jump for joy, click his heels together in the air, and scream with delight into the night.” “He comes back to her and says all of the following without hesitation: ‘I want it so bad for us.’ He is falling ‘deeply’ in love with her.” “Ummmm, excuse me for two seconds. What did Arie just say? All further dates will be painful and pale in comparison to this one.” “That’s it! Show is over … there is nothing more to see here. He literally just told Lauren she is the one and everyone else is a placeholder.” Yup, that was it, says Rachel: “Arie is on Cloud 9 with Lauren B. while the other women are looking up at them from their hotel rooms.” “I would be so upset if I were the other girls watching this at home. In hindsight, it is too bad they all couldn’t have the foresight Jacqueline did.” Crazily, Lindsay may be right … but: If you believe The Bachelor spoilers, Arie’s final rose winner and the person he is with right now are not the same person. That’s all we’re going to say about that here, but how’s that for an epic twist in the making as the home stretch begins?! Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo: Spin-Off Series in the Works?!

Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo already seem out of love  … or, at least, seem to be playing up their affections for the camera. But that doesn't mean that they're canceling their plans to marry, even if they haven't  quite  set a date yet. They are making some plans, though — which leads people to wonder if Rachel and Bryan have a spin-off reality series in the works. Rachel Lindsay shocked fans to their cores when she dumped Peter Kraus in the season finale of  The Bachelorette . She looked massively torn up about it, and left Peter in a sobbing heap. It was hard to watch, even for those of us who knew that it was coming. The fact that she ignored good sense and her own family and choose Bryan Abasolo was hard for a lot of people to process. Since then, Rachel's choice has been overshadowed by the injustice of  Peter Kraus not being the next Bachelor . Because, ultimately, it's Rachel's life to live and she gets to choose her fiance. She chose Bryan Abasolo. We don't have to understand, we just need to realize that it's her life and that maybe she's looking for different traits than most viewers. And you know, Rachel seems happy enough. At least,  Rachel and Bryan are still together . That's more than we can say for a lot of Bachelor couples. In this clip below, in which Wendy Williams doesn't appear to be able to keep things straight between Peter Kraus and Bryan Abasolo and mixes up their professions, Rachel has some news. It's not, like, her big announcement. This is a detail that she slips in, almost as if it's incidental or an afterthought. Wendy asks Bryan Abasolo (after he joins them on the couch) whether he's going to continue being a chiropractor. (This is after she jokes about his job, but … that's Wendy Williams, for you) Bryan mentions that he's taking a break from it at the moment but will get his chiropractor's license to practice in California, which is where they're going next. Rachel Lindsay mentions that she plans to get her law license in California. Wendy Williams casts a little doubt on that. Wendy points out that many people go on reality television for the purpose of finding out if they can be successful television personalities. Rachel clearly has what it takes, so now that she and Bryan have tested the waters, they might go on reality television again. Like, say, in a spin-off. Wendy then asks them, point-blank, if they plan to have their wedding on camera. They both admit that it's a possibility, that they haven't ruled it out. (We told you ages ago that  Rachel Lindsay is already planning her wedding , right down to who isn't invited, and that cameras might be there) Other couples from the  Bachelor  franchise haven't had the most success when cameras follow them around for every moment of their new relationship. But while  Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins broke up  because they couldn't communicate honestly with each other and be on camera at the same time … maybe that won't be the case for Rachel and Bryan. Not because true love conquers all, but … kind of the opposite. If their engagement is, at this point, a business arrangement so that they can both seek fame and fortune as a reality couple … cameras wouldn't hurt that relationship one bit. We don't know that this is the case, but since the two were described as acting like business partners except when the cameras are rolling … you have to wonder. A reality spin-off really does sound like the  only  explanation for why they'd willingly move to California.  And they didn't exactly deny it in this video:

Rachel Lindsay: I Admit it, I Regret My Choice!

The first and most important news out of The Bachelorette: Men Tell All was, of course, that Dean Unglert is a clear favorite and would be perfect as the next Bachelor. We already knew that, because we have sense. Rachel Lindsay, looking back on Men Tell All and the entire season of The Bachelorette , is admitting that she regrets one decision — and would do it differently if she could. In an interview with Us Weekly , Rachel Lindsay says that if she could go back and change one thing, she would have kicked one of the suitors to the curb way, way sooner: “If I’m just honest, I’m going to be 100 percent honest, I’m just going to say one word: Lee.” That would be Lee Garrett, folks. You know, the one who got slammed for racism. “I would have sent him home sooner.” We should hope so. You might think that the first black lead on The Bachelorette (shameful that it took so many seasons, by the way) wouldn’t be an inviting bride for, you know, racists. But racism and reality television are both much, much more complicated than that. First of all, not everyone goes on reality dating shows to find the love of their life. They can’t all win, and they go into the show knowing this. Getting to appear on another show in the Bachelor Nation or even just getting more social media followers an exposure is an amazing opportunity. So long as they make a good impression. Lee Garrett did not seem like a good guy — we’re not sure what he was hoping for, unless he thought that The Bachelor was going to cast him to court Trump fans or something. As far as the idea of a racist guy trying to win the heart of a black woman goes, well, racism doesn’t make people blind. Having black friends doesn’t mean that someone isn’t racist. Having a black girlfriend or wife doesn’t mean that someone isn’t racist. (And yes, that gets extra screwed up when children enter the mix and one of their parents has all of these prejudices that apply to them, too) So … it’s sadly no surprise that Lee Garrett was competing for Rachel Lindsay’s hand. If you remember from our  The Bachelorette : Men Tell All recap , Rachel Lindsay was part of calling out Lee Garrett for racism. During the special, Lee Garrett  tried to defend his actions, which really didn’t help. During The Bachelorette , he kept getting into heated conflicts with other suitors. Those other suitors tended to have something in common with each other — they were black. Fans noticed. Just about everybody noticed. Lee’s excuse that he was “uncomfortable” and trying to “joke” to excuse his behavior … didn’t go over well. Lee wasn’t only controversial for his actions on The Bachelorette — he also got into trouble for his antics on social media before he even went on the show. Specifically, Lee Garrett’s racist tweets landed him in hot water with fans and on Men Tell All. (Dude, even if you’re going to tweet super offensive stuff for whatever reason, maybe go delete them before you become famous) They weren’t even old tweets that someone dug up — they were from within the last year. There’s just no excuse. Considering what those of you following  The Bachelorette  Spoilers  already know, there are plenty of fans who think that Rachel Lindsay made a bigger mistake than letting Lee Garrett hang around. Not everyone, to be clear. But more than a few. Actually, you don’t even need spoilers to know that  sending Dean Unglert home  before narrowing her suitors down to three was positively foolish. But Lee Garrett had to go, as much because he and she clearly wouldn’t work out as to demonstrate to viewers how unacceptable he was. But, you know, hindsight is always clearer. And Rachel Lindsay didn’t know as much about Lee Garrett at the beginning of the series as she does now. In many ways, if there were viewers who saw some of themselves in Lee Garrett and his excuses, maybe his example served as a wake-up call to them about their own choices and behaviors. Still, we wonder if, in a year or so, Rachel Lindsay won’t have a larger regret about this season. View Slideshow: The Bachelorette Fans to Rachel Lindsay: Do NOT PICK Bryan Abasolo!

The Bachelorette Ending: Accidentally Spoiled by Dean Unglert?

This might be old news to those of you who follow The Bachelorette spoilers , but to most fans of the series, any hint of a spoiler is a huge deal. Remember our heartbreak when Rachel Lindsay bid farewell to Dean Unglert , who totally should have made it to the show’s very end? In a recent interview, it sounds like Dean Unglert, precious cinnamon roll that he is, may have accidentally spilled the beans about the finale.  (Surely, though, he could do nothing wrong.) In an interview that reminds us all that Dean Unglert is probably not going to be the next Bachelor (because the world is a cruel, cruel place and life is torment and we will all succumb to entropy), Dean Unglert let something slip. Because he talks about who he thinks should be the next guy to star on The Bachelor … and possibly reveals Rachel’s ultimate decision. “Hands down, Peter Bachelor 2018.” Whoa, there. You can’t star on The Bachelor after winning The Bachelorette . (Not unless there’s a whole messy sequence of events between those two … now that would be Bachelorette spoilers material.) Because, if Peter Kraus wins The Bachelorette in two weeks’ time, that would mean that he is Rachel Lindsay’s fiance. A man who, therefore, has no business looking for another, different fiancee unless they’re doing a polyamorous approach to the Bachelor Nation. This would seem to imply that Dean knows that Peter Kraus doesn’t win. Bless him, he tries to cover for it. “If that’s possible!” Awwww! He surely knows that it isn’t. “I don’t know if he’s engaged or not. But I would gladly concede to Peter as next Bachelor.” Now, we’re firm believers that Dean Unglert has done nothing wrong, ever, in his life. So we’re not going to be mad at him for “spoiling” this. Peter Kraus and Dean referred to each other as their best friend. They had an epic bromance on that show and we hope that it’s made them friends for life. (Friends that shade Bryan Abasolo together are friends for life) It’s a little hard to see Dean not knowing if Peter is engaged. Peter should win The Bachelorette , as we’ve said before. (Just as Dean should have made it to the very end) But we already know that Peter wouldn’t make it, thanks to this summer’s Bachelor in Paradise shenanigans. Because if Peter Kraus had gotten engaged to Rachel Lindsay, they wouldn’t have sent him to Bachelor in Paradise . But you know what? Dean doesn’t need to have any special knowledge, or even to have kept up with where his very good friend was or was not spotted, to have made this slip. Maybe he just never wanted to imagine that he and his good friend would get torn apart by a woman. (Even a woman as gorgeous as Rachel Lindsay) And, by the way, it looks like Dean and Peter are both on Bachelor in Paradise together. (Only Dean has been announced, but thanks to that spoiler, it looks like they’ll both be on there) We’re so glad that they’re going to get to hang out on camera some more, you know? Hopefully, this time, they won’t both be pursuing the same girl. Like we said, Rachel Lindsay should have picked Peter Kraus. (Even though, sadly, we already know who wins) But, you know, her loss will be someone else’s gain. And if Peter doesn’t get snatched up on Bachelor in Paradise. (Or in real life) Maybe he will be the next Bachelor on The Bachelor . And have Dean cheering him on the whole time. View Slideshow: The Bachelorette Suitors: Meet Rachel Lindsay’s Men!
