Eric Snowden Offered Asylum According to CNN Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has offered asylum to U.S. intelligence leaker Edward Snowden, the state-run AVN news agency reported Friday, without offering details. The report came shortly after Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said he would grant Snowden asylum in his country “if the circumstances permit.” Ortega didn’t elaborate on his announcement, made during a speech in Managua, except to say his country is “open and respectful to the right of asylum.” “It’s clear that that if the circumstances permit it we will gladly receive Snowden and will grant him asylum here in Nicaragua,” Ortega said. Meanwhile, an Icelandic lawmaker said Snowden would not get citizenship there, as he had requested, because Iceland’s parliament refused to vote on an asylum proposal before ending its current session. 50 Cent Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges

50 Cent has been arrested and charged with domestic violence as the result of an incident that took place on June 23 in the California condo of his baby mama. According to the Los Angeles City Attorney, police were called to the residence after the unidentified woman locked herself in a bathroom followng an argument with the rapper. Fiddy allegedly kicked both the door down and the victim in the stomach, while officials say he also caused $7,100 in damage by breaking chandeliers and various pieces of furniture. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, fled the scene before police arrived. He now faces a total of five charges, one count misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism. He could face up to five years in jail if convicted across the board and is due in court for a hearing on July 22.

News confirms that the actress and the San Francisco 49ers cornerback exchanged vows on June 24 in Blaine County, Idaho. Her parents were in attendance and Asomugha’s officiated the ceremony. Asomugha – a three-time Pro Bowler who has dabbled in acting via roles on episodes of Friday Night Lights and Leverage – has been dating the Scandal actress for about a year. This is Washington’s first marriage, though she was engaged to actor David Moscow before ending that relationship in 2007. We send this unexpected couple our very best wishes!
