The latest to take the stage and close out an episode was none other than Trippie Redd, who performed his track “Topanga” for the live studio audience along with everyone watching from home. Welp, that didn't take long. Chrissy Teigen just created the first viral moment of 2019. And she did it when the new year was merely a second old. Teigen appeared on NBC’s New Year’s Eve telecast on Monday evening, where she counted down to the new year with Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones and Today‘s Carson Daly. Typically, we'd be wondering why on earth a single person would ever go down to Times Square to watch the ball drop in person around this time. However, instead of shaking our heads over the thousands of revelers in the background of the clip featured here, we're laughing our rear ends off over what transpired between Teigen and Jones. You see, when the hilarious social media user and mother of two went in to hug Jones … she was accidentally smacked in the face by Leslie's umbrella. “I'm okay!” Teigen joked on Twitter after a follower shared video from the unexpected moment, adding: “7am. Heading back out to Time's Square to find my eyeball.” Jones, who is also an expert user of the Twitter machine, chimed in as follows: “Ugh I can't believe I hit @ChrissyTeigen in face!! Lordt!! I love you boo!! So Sorry. #ThatsWhyIHateUmbrellas.” Perhaps, however, this moment was actually planned in order to serve as a distraction from the mini controversy Teigen stirred up when she mentioned vaginal steaming on the show. Yes, vaginal steaming. In response, some viewers complained that the subject wasn’t appropriate for a telecast many were watching with they’re young kids. Wrote one individual, for example: “Maybe I’m old but not that old. Watching NBC with my 12 year old 20 min before the ball drops and Chrissy Teigen starts talking about vaginal steaming. Really?! “The host of NYE…vaginal steaming? Come on…have a little CLASS. Too many families watching honey. Not cute.” Do you agree? Ponder the answer while you watch Teigen gets destroyed by the umbrella in this footage.
When we first learned that Farrah Abraham would appear on Marriage Boot Camp , our initial reaction could be summed up with the letters “W,” “T,” and “F.” After all, Farrah’s not married, and she’s currently not even in a relationship (though the fact that she was single didn’t stop her from appearing on VH1’s Couple’s Therapy). Then we found out that this was the “family edition” of the show, and we went from confused to way too excited. You see, Farrah’s family is almost as messed up as Farrah herself. For starters, her parents spend an inordinate amount of time together despite being divorced. On top of that, Farrah’s mother, Debra Danielsen wants to be a rapper , while her father, Michael Abraham, is basically a human doormat. Michael and Debra can’t quite rise to Farrah’s level of insanity, but they make a noble effort, and we commend them for it. Of course, in order to get a feel for just how emotionally unstable a person is, you have to get them out of their comfort zone and put them in the presence of someone who will call them on their bullsh-t. Enter Kendra Wilkinson. Kendra has plenty of messed-up marriage experience, but she’s appearing on Marriage Boot Camp in order to sort out her issues with her mother – and to lock horns with Farrah. In a recent interview, Kendra opened up about her time on set with the Abrahams, and she’s not shy about admitting that she wanted absolutely nothing to do with them. (Which is, of course, the perfect reaction to being forced to spend time with Farrah and her family.) “I respect everybody and their situation and their problems. But, I don’t know, I didn’t really – their whole little thing, I wanted to not be in the same room with them,” Kendra told People magazine. The shade-throwing continued when Kendra basically pulled a Mariah, claiming she didn’t know anything about Farrah before they shot Marriage Boot Camp together: “I don’t watch her or anything so I wanted to start from scratch when it came to meeting other celebrities from the house,” she explained. “I don’t like coming from judgment, I like to just know people – starting from scratch, not who they are, what they do on TV.” Kendra proceeded to drop the mic by basically saying the Abrahams faked their drama for the cameras: “I didn’t trust it,” Wilkinson said. “I like real and raw. Kim Kardashian is both under the weather and under fire at the moment. The reality star apparently has a case of the flu, but instead of garnering sympathy from her legion of social media followers, Kardashian has garnered a solid dose of outrage. All due to a single Tweet. “The flu can be an amazing diet. So happy it came in time for the Met,” Kardashian wrote of her unexpected, illness-based slimdown, just weeks prior to the 2017 Met Gala in New York City on Monday, May 1. She then added: “lol #6lbsdown.” Many followers were not laughing out loud, however. They were aghast that Kim would joke about something as potentially dangerous as the influenza virus. “Now imagine saying that to your daughter after she gets sick…” one peeved user wrote, while another fumed: “It sends dangerous messages & supports not being healthy as a valid weight loss technique. But I wonder why eating disorders are so common…” Kardashian has since deleted the Tweet, but not before it was widely viewed by critics on the Web. Other harsh responses to the mesage have included: People also die from the flu…but glad you feeling better. You’re aware of the amount of people that follow you/are inspired by you, right? lots of them being impressionable young people? You’re promoting weight loss in spite of health to thousands of impressionable people who take you very seriously . yes those people who died of flu just looked fab in their coffins! #onpoint. maybe don’t glamorize sickness for weight loss. Look: Do people die from the flu? Yes. Do most people die from the flu? No. Does Kim Kardashian often say and do dumb stuff that make us question whether she realizes the impact she has on young girls? Absolutely. But where’s the outage when Kim and her sisters waist train ? There’s an example of something Kim is directly, specifically promoting to her fans… and something that is wholly unhealthy and ridiculous. This , however? As much we typically love to pile on the anti-Kim Kardashian train, we just can’t muster up any real anger over what Kim clearly meant to be a joke. At least she’s trying, right? The quips and zingers typically fall to Khloe Kardashian , the one sister with an actual personality and sense of humor. We’re just glad to see Kim attempting to act in any way that isn’t over-rehearsed, scripted and wooden. And we don’t appear to be alone. “I’m in love with the fact that people don’t understand your humor. Lasrt July, seven months after giving birth, she gushed over her figure to E! News. “I’m definitely to my goal weight. I’m down more than I expected,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said at the time, giving credit to a certain strategy and company by adding: “The Atkins diet was so easy for me because there’s so many sweets and treats that keep you satisfied along the way. Sometimes people who have the most in common have trouble getting along for the simple reason that they each see their worst qualities reflected in one another. It’s probably why Quentin Tarantino has beef with fellow fast-talking movie geek Spike Lee. It might even be have something to do with the fact that Donald Trump hates fellow rage-aholic white guy Alec Baldwin so much more than all the other comics who roast him. And it’s definitely the reason that Vanderpump Rules’ resident d-bag Jax Taylor can’t get along with fellow reality douche Nick Viall: As you probably know by now, Viall got engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi on last night’s season finale of The Bachelor. But while Vanessa may have fallen head-over-heels for Nick, it seems Jax would rather give him a heel to the head. It seems the famous-ish bros butted heads at a recent event to promote a mutual friend’s new hotel/nightclub venture. According to Taylor, he asked Viall to pose for a pic to help promote the business, and Nick rudely refused. “I go, ‘First of all, buddy, don’t toot your own horn, I have no f—ing idea who you are,’” Jax recently told Bravo’s Daily Dish blog. Hilariously, Jax proceeded to go off on Viall for, of all things, starring on a “disposable reality show”: “I know you’re on The Bachelor — okay, good for you, great,” Taylor said. “You’re on a disposable reality show that you’ll be gone in five minutes and no one will know who you are, so you want to get your five minutes of fame in now.” In case he hadn’t already made his feelings perfectly clear, Jax added: “I just think he’s a d-bag,” Yes, when this is the same Jax Taylor who, despite pulling in over half a million a year, still gets arrested for stealing sunglesses . The same Jax who regularly claims ownership of his girlfriend’s boobs because he paid for her breast implants. When that guy is calling you a d-bag, it may be time to re-assess your own douchiness. Back in September of 2015, Nicole Arbour’s “Dear Fat People” video offended anyone who’s ever been overweight, anyone who’s ever known anyone who was overweight, and anyone with even the slightest understanding of how comedy is supposed to work. Unfortunately, the clip was so horrendously bad that it gave Arbour a modicum of social media renown. It’s like if Rebecca Black’s “Friday” were hateful instead of just irritating. Fortunately, Arbour’s fame clock is currently at the 14:59 mark, which means she needs to pull out all the stops if she wants to be remembered as anything other than the sad, sad fulfillment of an Andy Warhol prophecy. Normally we’d count her out, but Nicole is thirstier than a hungover Lawrence of Arabia, and now that it seems she’s figured out a way to keep her career alive by drinking the blood of her fellow Z-listers. As you may have heard, Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie has filed for divorce from her husband, Mike Shay. In fairness, Sheana and Shay are considerably more famous than Arbour, but you’re judged by the company you keep, and apparently Mike and Nicole are close friends who probably have long, serious discussions about comedy, a la Ariana Madix. It seems Mike is part of a hip hop crew called Dat Dope Group (Ed. note: Picture 350 “crying with laughter” Emojis here.), and because nothing could be that dumb without having Nicole Arbour involved, Nicole Arbour is involved. Nicole and Mike recently premiered a single called “Show Me How You Werk”, because apparently they have no sympathy for the fact that we can’t laugh for the next 80 years and live normal productive lives. Here they are at some sort of red carpet event showing off their best “I totally belong here” faces: So what does all of this have to do with Scheana? Good question, hypothetical person who cares enough about Nicole Arbour to read this far into an article about her. (Hi, Nicole!) Nicole has been saying words about Scheana, accusing her of lying about Shay’s disappearance and blaming her for the dissolution of the marriage: “When Scheana reported that Mike was missing, he was performing live shows and she knew where he was,” Nicole recently told Radar Online. “He was on red carpet! Like that’s how much of a lie all of this was.” Going on long after you want her to stop talking is Nicole’s signature move, so she did exactly that, adding: “[The divorce] is definitely Scheana’s fault and she tried to sabotage Mike’s live show because she’s jealous that he was getting more attention than her. “She needs a storyline so she made up that he’s doing drugs and drinking again, and that just wasn’t true. That’s what sparked the breakup.” Arbour went on to say that Scheana basically treated her divorce as a ratings stunt for Bravo: “She made up those things up to try and have an interesting storyline to get a lot of attention around the Vanderpump Rules premiere,” Nicole said. “And throwing your husband under the bus while he’s completely clean and sober and happy and working on something he’s completely proud of is disgusting.” In case you had any lingering doubts about what team she’s on, Arbour added: “Mike is amazing and is very talented and I’m very happy he can focus on things that he’s good at with people who support him now,” View Slideshow: 37 Classic Vanderpump Rules Moments in GIFs We imagine she would have gone on to propose marriage, but Mike used to be overweight, and Nicole would hate to look like a hypocrite. The UK doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, as it would be sort of weird to commemorate the day a bunch of religious fanatics fled their shores in a rickety boat just to crash into a rock a few hundred miles north of their destination two months later. But that doesn’t mean we can’t pout out some gravy for out brother Brits who shan’t be enjoying their own four-day weekend. And while we’re at it, let’s take some time to offer thanks for the precious gift that is Kate Middleton. While the rumors that Kate is pregnant with baby number three are almost certainly bogus, she gives us plenty to be grateful for everyday. Though her actual coronation may still be some time off, she still gives us plenty of reason to shout, “Yaaaaas, queen!” Take Kate’s actions at a recent children’s charity event in London, for example. Witnesses say a woman named Ceri Knapton was moved to tears while listening to her 13-year-old son, Ethan, describe how he uses his own struggles with Autism and Asperger Syndrome to raise awareness and educate others. “I vowed that I wouldn’t cry but was just overcome listening to Ethan,” Knapton told reporters afterward. “The Duchess just leaned over and said to me ‘I’ve got to give you a hug as a mum.’ I couldn’t believe it. It was such a kind gesture.” Yes, you might not know this, but the royals don’t have a reputation for being the most sentimental, approachable lot. But Kate by all accounts, Kate seemed genuinely moved as she embraced the Knaptons and encouraged them to continue sharing their stories. “It was a very difficult time but my diagnosis helped me to cope with what I was experiencing,” Ethan said. “I decided that I wanted to speak out about it.There is no point in sitting back. I’d rather stand up and make a difference.” Sources say Kate even spoke a bit about her own family, informing those in attendance that Prince George is into dinosaurs these days, with the T-rex being his favorite. Get ready to actually feel good about something that happened on Teen Mom OG. Yes, we know, it's a bizarre feeling, and it almost never happens, but this is precious, we promise. We're finally getting to see some footage from Maci Bookout's wedding to Taylor McKinney ! Maci is one of the very, very few “good” Teen Moms — she and Chelsea Houska are pretty much it — so there's no guilt in enjoying this. There's not even the tiniest bit of drama, none of the overwhelming (but delicious) trashiness that Teen Mom typically thrives on . This is just some really beautiful footage of a truly lovely wedding. It feels weird, right?
