Jennifer Aniston has been having a low-key several months … at least until every news outlet, celeb gossip blog and tabloid publication started speculating nonstop on her response to Brad Pitt’s engagement to Angelina Jolie. The whole world seems to be obsessed with how she took this one piece of news. The short answer? She’s happy for Brangelina , but at the same time, “She hates it being brought up because she doesn’t really care,” says a pal. Jennifer Aniston was married to Brad Pitt from 2000-2005 before he infamously fell in love with Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Jolie while he was still married. After seven years together, Brad finally proposed to Angelina earlier this month, with all six kids present, buying her $500,000 diamond engagement ring. “She feels Angelina can have him,” the Jen source adds, noting that she’s been quite happy in her own life for some time. “She just wants to move on .” Indeed, since falling for Wanderlust costar Justin Theroux, that’s pretty much what Aniston’s done. Is Madonna a Hypocrite With Anti-Smoking Stance?

Madonna is taking a stand against cigarette smoking, yet glamorizes smoking in her new music video for “Girl Gone Wild,” setting off cries of hypocrisy. The topic came up when The Queen of Pop appeared on Today and was grilled over her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes being caught smoking recently. Madonna says she “wasn’t very happy” about the Lourdes Leon picture , adding “I don’t approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all my daughter.” Well, except in the “Girl Gone Wild” video: Madonna – Girl Gone Wild (Official Video) Pressed on the apparent hypocrisy of herself smoking seductively in the video, she says it was just an “accessory” and she doesn’t smoke in real life. That’s very possible. She can use it as part of her video art form and have no interest in partaking, and certainly wish that her teenager daughter not. However, its mere presence in the video may influence others, given that Madonna is one of the more glamorous, legendary performers of all time. Well, at least before MDNA album sales tanked . What do you think? Hypocritical? Or totally different because a music video is an art form and does not dictate how Madonna lives her personal life?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: Inside the Proposal!

Nothing like calling a Jolie-Pitt family meeting for the announcement that the celebrity gossip world had longingly been waiting – and hoping – for. On a recent spring day, Brad Pitt gathered Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3, to present their mom with something. That would be a tablet-shaped diamond engagement ring, estimated at 16 carats and worth $500,000, and which he helped design with jeweler Robert Procop. “Angelina cried and smiled” at the proposal, a confidante says. Aww. The children, who had been eager for their parents to wed after seven years together, were equally overjoyed to see Brad and Angelina engaged . The source adds. “Everyone hugged once she put [the ring] on. She went around and showed it to each of the kids , one by one. It was magical.” As the world now knows, Jolie, 36, quietly debuted that long-awaited ring at an April 11 private viewing at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Procop and then Pitt’s manager confirmed the engagement days later. Now, “Angie considers herself bonded to Brad for life,” adds the source. Speaking of which … do you think they’ll last?

The actress – who celebrates a birthday… today!!! – revealed via photo and via caption on Twitter yesterday that she’s expecting another child, posting the following picture along with the words: (Early) Happy Birthday to me! And baby makes 3! Hart married musician Mark Wilkerson in 2003 and gave birth to their first child, Mason, in 2006. They welcomed a second son, Braydon, in 2008. The gender of kid number-three is unknown at this time, but we wish the growing family nothing but the best! In other celebrity baby news: Anna Paquin is pregnant with her first child.

Pippa Middleton Gun Photo: Real or Fake?

It’s all fun and games until someone pulls a piece on a paparazzo. As we previously reported, Pippa Middleton is at the center of a gun scandal after she and her friends went for a spin in a convertible last weekend. After partying at a raucous bash in Paris until 5 a.m., Pips was spotted leaving in a car with friends, when the driver took out what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol and aimed it at a celebrity news photographer. But was the gun even real? Sitting in the passenger seat, Pippa Middleton laughed. Nobody’s laughing now. Especially not her in-laws. “This is embarrassing for them,” a royal source says. The surprising scandal “has put [ Kate Middleton ] in a very difficult position,” the source adds. However, it appears that the excitement, which included reports that Pippa Middleton could face criminal charges, may have been overblown. ABC News reports that the photographer claims he knew all along that the gun was a fake and has been telling people he never felt scared by it. Even friends of one of the young fashionistas in the car with Pippa told ABC News that they have the toy gun in their possession currently. The Sun reported that the Paris Police are “poised” to launch a probe, but there is no investigation …. because no one has filed a complaint. Pippa Middleton Gun Photo The mystery man pointing the gun in question, meanwhile, has finally been identified: He’s Romain Rabillard, a 36-year-old French attorney. The single Rabillard parties with a crowd of chic Parisians, including wealthy clothing designer Viscount Arthur de Soultrait, Middleton’s pal. It was his 30th birthday bash she attended Friday. If the gun was in fact fake, the accused could still face legal action, but far less severe.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged, as you now know. For real. OK! Magazine and its ilk are either overjoyed that they get to print accurate news for once in their lives this week, or devastated because now that Brangelina got engaged , and confirmed it, they’ve lost some great source material. Either way, here’s their very special commemorative cover : “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are all very happy,” Brad’s manager Cynthia Pett-Dante confirmed to the AP last week. “There’s not date set at this time.” That’s it. No more waiting for gay marriage to be legalized all over the world. No more coy interviews. No more ridiculous tabloid cover story lies. Okay, those are clearly going to persist. But they’ll have to branch out, because the secret wedding well has finally run dry. It was a good run, guys.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may star in a new movie together , as talk in Hollywood centers around the parents teaming up for Ridley Scott’s The Counselor . But that’s nothing compared to the following scoop: a new source claims this famous couple will also be starring together in life! Forever! Marriage style! A rep for Robert Procop – a Beverly Hills jeweler and former CEO of Asprey & Garrard – tells The Hollywood Reporter that his client has designed an engagement ring for Jolie “in collaboration” with Pitt. The actress reportedly wore the ring on April 11 at a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries. Talk of marriage and another pregnancy for Angelina have dominated the tabloids for months, of course. Last May, Pitt acknowledged that his children often ask about the subject and the couple will have to “look at” the possibility soon. Might that time have finally arrived?!? If so, someone get Jennifer Aniston a drink. Stat! UPDATE: It’s been confirmed! Says Pitt’s manager Cynthia Pett-Dante: “It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie to Star in The Counselor?

For the first time since the 2005 action-romance that brought them together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be set to burn up the big screen together. The Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-stars are in talks to appear alongside Shame’s Michael Fassbender and Javier Bardem in The Counselor , directed by Ridley Scott. According to reports, Brangelina’s project is set to begin in a few months, and the movie will shoot in Europe. Both the Jolie-Pitts and Scott have homes in France. Fassbender will play the title role of a respected lawyer who gets tangled in the drug business, while the film will reportedly deal with very gritty themes. Unlike when they shot Mr. and Mrs. Smith , however, Jolie and Pitt are a bona fide couple – with six kids. Until now they have alternated film projects. “We’re not ones to repeat ourselves, but we’d like to, because now, we’re hopscotching films so one can be with the kids and one’s free to work,” Pitt said. “And why aren’t we doing [movies] together? Why aren’t we doing everything together?” Looks like they soon will be.
