While Josh and Anna Duggar dominated the last two installments, 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 18 put the focus squarely on Amy Duggar. The Duggar cousin, a musician, performed on a cruise ship this week, and also celebrated her birthday on 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 18 . Yes, when you watch 19 Kids and Counting online this week, you will see part reality show, part behind the scenes family dramedy, part Amy infomercial. At least that’s how it came across at times. In the episode, entitled “Amy’s Nashville Dreams,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s niece continued to pursue her love of music in hopes of making it big. It’s been slow going in that regard. Having previously moved to Nashville in hopes of achieving fame and fortune in the entertainment world, she’s now back home in her native Arkansas. She hasn’t given up, but it’s been humbling. Her next gig in pursuit of the dream? Singing aboard the Branson Belle show boat in Branson, Missouri. Her mom Deanna Jordan and Grandma Duggar were on hand as she performed in front of 700 people and did well, despite an opening technical glitch. “I think I’m clearly growing as an artist,” Amy said. “If I can handle a song not coming on with that many people staring at me, whatever could happen, bring it on!” “I’m proud of myself. I never thought I was so strong.” After that, it was time to spend her 28th birthday with Michelle, Jim Bob, and their 19 kids (and counting). They all bonded over a campfire and cake. Soon enough, it was back to work, and we saw Amy Duggar perform for several executives in Nashville, where she acquitted herself very professionally. “I gave my heart and soul into that performance. I wanted to sell myself as an artist and not just some random cousin from a big family,” Amy said. “I am so humbled right now. I could kiss the floor!” No floors were kissed at her music video shoot, though, when she showed up not remembering lyrics to her own song, “Beautiful Weather.” Producers? Not happy. Luckily, she rebounded and finished it on time. SO Many Duggars 1. A Duggar Family Pic Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are still working on that 20th kid. The video was a hit with the family, and only reinforced her decision to make music her life’s goal. Amy says marriage and babies will have to wait for now. “I do want to get married. I do want to have kids. I want to adopt someday. Those things are just not available at the moment. God’s timing is perfect.” “It’s just not always up to me.” He apparently wanted Jill Duggar pregnant and possibly Jessa Duggar pregnant immediately, but for now, music looks like it will be Amy’s path in life.

Aviation and music tycoon Sir Richard Branson and his son Sam Branson are no fans of the War on Drugs and they’re hoping a new film that they launched on YouTube will do for their cause what An Inconvenient Truth did for the issue of global warming. Produced through the younger Branson’s production company, Sundog Pictures, Breaking the Taboo features a host of notables including former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, other former world leaders as well as experts and other household names in a doc hoping to change hearts and minds about the global war on drugs. Clinton is shown in the trailer saying the War on Drugs, which has cost billions and jailed thousands in the U.S. alone, “hasn’t worked.” Morgan Freeman narrates the English version of the pic, the trailer of which opens with Richard Nixon’s proclamation ushering in the U.S. War on Drugs. Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal narrates the Spanish version of the film, which has its trailer available on YouTube. The site indicated the full-length Breaking the Taboo will bow December 7th. “I am hoping in the same way that Al Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth opened people’s eyes to global warming issues…, Branson told The Guardian . This film will open people’s eyes on the war on drugs and the failed war on drugs and make it easier for people who want to be brave and do something about it.” Sam Branson said the film will head to YouTube because of its “potential to reach millions. Both Branson look to countries such as Portugal and Spain where drug users receive treatment as opposed to jail time as providing an example. Sir Richard calls the legalization of marijuana as “inevitable” and added that most in power secretly agree with him. “I have hardly ever come across a politician that won’t say – off the record – what needs to be done…in the end they just need to be brave.” Washington and Colorado voted to legalize marijuana in the most recent election and the U.N. general assembly voted to hold a special session on drugs in 2016. Obama is also seen in the film before being elected saying that a change is needed, though he has held the line on decriminalization earlier this year. “We would be hopeful that in a second term Obama intends at the very least to start treating drugs as a healthcare problem, not a criminal problem,” said Sir Richard Branson. Kutcher could buy three trips to space for less than his per-episode fee on ‘Two and a Half Men.’ By Gil Kaufman Ashton Kutcher Photo: Getty Images When you’re a single guy in your 30s making more than $700,000 per episode on a sitcom, there isn’t much that’s out of your financial reach. Wanna go out and buy a car today with cash? Go for it. Hell, buy two! That and the actor’s “whatever, dude” attitude might explain why British adventure billionaire Richard Branson announced on his blog this week that Ashton Kutcher, 34, has signed up to be the 500th space tourist on Branson’s Virgin Galactic airlines. The suborbital spacecraft will give passengers a few minutes of weightlessness at a cost of $200,000 per ride. “I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him,” Branson wrote. “He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.” Branson expects to launch a test flight beyond the Earth’s atmosphere this year and possibly start sending commercial passengers into space in 2013 or 2014 on its six-passenger jets. Of course, that’s if things progress on track. In the meantime, we were wondering: What other kinds of outer-limits adventures or experiences Ashton could have while he’s awaiting a shot at the great beyond?

According to the local Los Angeles station, Serene Branson “wants us to know she followed-up with a visit to the doctor for some medical tests. [She] thanks everyone for their concern and good wishes and hopes to be back on the air very soon.” It#39;s still a mystery why CBS 2 reporter Serene Branson suddenly slurred her speech on Grammy night, but this much is known: She#39;s feeling much better.
