During his set, he took some time to address Nike’s CEO, Mark Parker. Yeezy, who’d been previously bashing Parker, was a lot more polite and apologetic this time around. Kanye was in a notorious feud with the sneaker juggernaut, whom he felt wouldn’t give him the creative control necessary to build the shoes that he wanted. If you’re locked into social media tonight, you’ve probably come across videos and images from opening night of Kanye West’s Saint Pablo Tour in Indianapolis. The rapper is running through a loaded set list while performing in the middle of the arena on a floating stage, which seems to be what everyone is talking about tonight. However, it wouldn’t be a Kanye show without some sort of sneaker discussion, and that holds true tonight. During a break, West took a moment out to speak on his former collaborators at Nike — namely CEO Mark Parker, who was on the receiving end of harsh words from West during his last tour. Perhaps above the feud now that he’s been validated by his success at adidas, West spoke with grateful tone this time around. This could finally mark the end of West taking shots at Parker and the Swoosh, but we know better than to make that assumption. Kanye might actually be growing up. Yesterday, we reported that Drake and Serena Williams were spotted making out at a swanky restaurant in Cincinnati. Serena had just dominated the WTA tournament, and she and Drizzy were reportedly so caught up in the moment that they didn’t seem to care who witnessed their PDA. After dinner, they retired to the hotel in which they were both staying, presumably for a round of mixed doubles. Now, that the wild weekend is over, the rapper and the tennis legend are reportedly making a go at a real relationship, but Serena is laying down stricter rules than a line judge. TMZ is reporting that Serena has issued Drake an ultimatum : not THOTS, side-pieces, or video vixens of any kind, or it’s over. Yes, it seems Serena and Drake hooked up once before, back in 2011. The problem then was that Drizzy was too caught up in partying and hanging out with groupies. Sources say he’s promised it’ll be different this time, as his respect for Serena and her superstardom has grown in the years since they last hooked up. We’ll see what happens. For now, we would recommend that Serena keep an eye on her dude when he’s running through the six with his woes. If anyone can keep up with Drizzy, it’s her.
