Mockingjay has officially taken flight. Although this Catching Fire follow-up isn’t due in theaters until November 21, the folks at Lionsgate have revved up the PR machine nice and early with the following promotional image. It depicts the mockingjay itself, wings spread and on fire. “Check out the new logo for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1… and LIKE if you’re excited for #Mockingjay!” the official The Hunger Games Facebook page captioned the photograph. The third installment in a four-installment franchise will bring back all the favorites from the first two films, led by Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth , of course. With the quality of the second movie outdistancing the first – and with Lawrence continuing to rack up awards and awesomely hilarious moments in between each flick – there’s no telling just how high the box office for Mockingjay will soar. The Instagram star, who has amassed over two million followers across that social network, just signed a lucrative sports management contract with The Legacy Agency, a company that represents such athletes as Carl Crawford and Reggie Bush . “We believe she can be the next Jillian Michaels ,” said TLA agent Andrew Witlieb of the 20-year old, who has no formal fitness training of any kind. But she does have a rear end off which one can bound quarters. “Jillian didn’t get to where she is until her mid-30s,” added Witlieb. “Jen’s going to grow as a person, as a fitness expert, in these next years. She’s here for the long term.” Selter hails from Long Island and started taking selfish of herself in the gym about two years ago. Since then, she has built a mini Internet army that includes had a million Facebook fans and 200,000 Twitter followers; among them are Johnny Manziel, Amar’e Stoudemire and Shaquille O’Neal. “She was someone I never heard of that had 1.3 million Instagram followers, now 2 million, since [a profile in The New York Post],” Witlieb told Fox News. “This was a combo of health, wellness and fitness meets social media. The odds were very much in the favor of Catching Fire this weekend, as the well-reviewed Hunger Games sequel earned $161.1 million over the pre-Thanksgiving weekend. That’s a November box office record. The Jennifer Lawrence -anchored blockbuster beat the $152.5 million opening of its predecessor and out-earned the previous November champion, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, by about $20 million. Forget November, though. Only three films have EVER opened with better number than Catching Fire. They are:The Avengers ($207.4 million), Iron Man 3 ($174.1 million) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($169.2 million). If current estimates hold, Catching Fire will bring down The Dark Knight Rises as the largest 2-D opening of all-time. And it deserves it, folks. What a terrific movie. Catching Fire is off to a scorching start. The wildly anticipated Hunger Games sequel brought in $25.3 million at midnight showings across the country this morning, a figure deemed “very, very strong by BoxOffice.com analyst Phil Contrino. With very positive Catching Fire reviews continuing to come in, the film’s haul surpassed the $21 million made by Man of Steel in June and the $15.6 million garnered by Iron Man 3 in May. As for the original? The Hunger Games made about $20 million during its opening early morning previews and went on to gross $152.5 in its first three days of release. Catching Fire – which also opens China, Russia and the United Kingdom this weekend – is expected to clear $160 million by Sunday. Catching Fire Reviews
