A 34-year-old Texas woman, Charity Anne Johnson, pretended to be a high school sophomore for nearly an entire year, fooling everyone in the process. Duping her Longview, Texas, teachers, classmates and even the woman who took her in, school officials said nothing of the sort indicated a ruse. “Everyone we talked to assumed she was a teenager like she said, because she looked like one,” said Stuart Newlin, principal of New Life Christian School. “She had friends,” he said, as puzzled as anyone. “Everybody liked her.” Texas Woman Poses as High School Sophomore It’s anything but clear why Charity Anne Johnson, who was arrested this week, allegedly enrolled at the school in October as 15-year-old Charity Stevens. “That’s a mystery. We have no clue,” Newlin said of Johnson’s stint at school. “She came in with a guardian; there was no reason to be suspicious.” “Usually, parents come in, they fill out the paperwork and we take their word for it. If they come from another school, then you transfer the records.” “If they come from home school, they don’t have those records.” Tamica Lincoln, the woman whom Johnson had been living with, was dumbfounded, saying, “She acted like a kid. She did her homework. She got good report cards.” Johnson even kept up a presence on social media, posing for selfies and posted snapshots of friendship bracelets and Hello Kitty on Instagram and Twitter. Lincoln had been Johnson’s caregiver since March. After meeting her at McDonald’s, where they both worked, she said Johnson told her she needed a place to stay after her parents died and her sister was MIA. “I allowed her to come into my house,” Lincoln said of Johnson. “I was just trying to be nice and kindhearted and get her out of the situation she was in.” She discovered Johnson might be lying about her age after getting a phone call from a woman who ran a group for needy children that Johnson tried to join. The woman had run a background check, Lincoln said. “I started looking into it. I contacted the manager that works at that McDonald’s. He pulled up her file and the date of birth was 1979. The name was Charity Johnson.” Police say Johnson is 34 years old despite jail records that list her being 31 years old. Johnson was arrested late Monday after Lincoln called the police. She lied about her name and was charged with failure to show identification, police said. Johnson is behind bars at Gregg County Jail on a $500 bond. THG’s Most Notorious Criminals 1. Check out this photo shared by Elizabeth Banks, who is directing the sequel in New Orleans: “365 days until Pitch Perfect 2 is released,” the 40-year-old wrote. In the pic, Banks, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld, and others wear matching “Bellas” jackets, for their Barden Bellas singing team. Earlier, it was announced that newcomer / Taylor Swift BFF Steinfeld would be joining the film. “It’s official and I’m SO excited!!!!!! #PitchPerfect2,” she wrote. Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s death on Sunday has left Hollywood shocked and saddened. Tons of celebrities have already taken to Twitter to react to the beloved actor’s passing, and now his Hunger Games family is making a statement, as well. Hoffman had nearly completed filming his role as Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee for the two-part Hunger Games conclusion, Mockingjay. On Sunday, director Francis Lawrence and The Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins spoke on behalf of the film’s cast and crew, saying: “Words cannot convey the devastating loss we are all feeling right now. Philip was a wonderful person and an exceptional talent, and our hearts are breaking.” “Our deepest condolences go out to his family.” Hunger Games ‘ production company, Lionsgate Films also made a statement: “Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation.” “We’re very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games family. When Farrah Abraham announced that she’d be appearing on VH1’s Couples Therapy, you knew the drama would not be far behind. And you were right. The amazing part? She’s not going on the reality show to discuss her relationship in hopes of squeezing out a few grand and 15 more minutes of fame. Farrah Abraham is reportedly appearing on Couples Therapy SOLO. Rumor has it that the Teen Mom star tried to con both her current boyfriend Brian Dawe and some dude she went on two with into joining her on the program. Incredibly, for men willing to date Farrah Abraham, both of these men declined, proving that they do have brain cells, morals and a sense of self-preservation. Then again, Farrah’s relationship is with herself is very much dysfunctional, so perhaps it makes more sense that she’s doing a little solo therapy sesh. The Backdoor porn star announced that she will be working through her past issues with relationships and learn to “move on.” Ah. Mmm hmm. Astonishingly, she’s already feuding with Dr. Jenn Berman. Perhaps, not unlike when she got smacked down by Dr. Phil , Jenn isn’t a total pushover. Sources from inside the show are buzzing about how defensive Farrah is, not to mention challenging to work with when she doesn’t get her way. If you know anything about her, that sounds on point. And here we thought getting kicked out of rehab for being a disruptive pain in the arse was a point in life from which she could not stoop any lower. Moral of the story: Never estimate Farrah Abraham. Just underestimate her a lot, then underestimate her some more. As much as you possibly can. She still probably won’t meet your expectations.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire continued to burn up the box office, while Disney’s Frozen also made a major splash in its debut over the weekend. Catching Fire grossed $110.2 million in sales over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend, while Frozen brought in $93 million in over the same period.
