Congrats, Champ: Celebs React To Serena Williams Giving Birth

More here:

Source: Taylor Hill / Getty The stars could not wait to congratulate Serena Williams as she delivered her baby girl today. Going into labor on Labor Day and during the U.S. Open? Serena couldn’t have picked a more perfect time to welcome her new daughter. But the moment becomes even more iconic when you find out what Serena’s sister, Venus Williams  , was doing during her labor. According to US Weekly , Venus was in the middle of U.S. Open match against Maria Sakkari when Serena gave birth. Supposedly, Venus may also have found out about the arrival of her neice during the match. We’re sure making a call to Serena was the first thing she did once the match was over, but other celebs cheered for Serena online. Beyoncé was among the first to offer her congrats with this glamour shot of Serena gracefully cradling her baby bump. Not to be outdone, the U.S. Open also found time to throw together a little video honoring the new mommy. She did deliver the baby during the U.S. Open, after all. Ciara also had to give Serena a shoutout for the new baby. Serena’s coach also chimed in with some warm wishes for the tennis champ. But like a true coach, he reminded her that she won’t have much time before she needs to get back to work. Meanwhile another tennis legend, Billie Jean King , is too ready to see Serena’s daughter. Among the civilian denizens of there were all kinds of tributes ranging from artistic to gut-busting. A simple congrats simply would not do for her fans. In short, Twitter was flipping out. Here are some of the best! RELATED STORIES: It’s A Girl! Serena Williams Welcomes Baby With Fiance Alexis Ohanian Serena Williams Is Excited For Child Birth & Being A Mommy Like A Boss! Pedo-Files: Manhattan Montessori Principal Gets Up To 7 Years In Prison For Having “Multi-Year” Affair With A Child

Manhattan Montessori Principal Gets Up To 7 Years In Prison Relationship With Underage Student This lady looks like she could probably pull a decent man of age, but hey, she must like the young meat… She tried arguing that she “faints” and has anxiety, and even that her boy victim had enjoyed it. But there was no mercy yesterday for Lina Sinha, the beautiful former headmistress of an Upper East Side Montessori school, who was finally sent away to serve at least 2 1/3 years in prison for her twisted and damaging sex affair with a student who was just 13. “This is a woman of every advantage, and she preyed on her victim for years,” Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Carol Berkman said as the predatory ex-principal stared glumly down at the defense table. “She hijacked his life as a child,” the judge said of the victim, who grew up to be a New York City cop and had compellingly taken the witness stand, describing years of trysts on class furniture and in a field-trip van with the Montessori School of New York headmistress he called “Miss Sinha.” “She did try to destroy his life,” the judge said. “So time has passed, but the victim has not regained the childhood the defendant has stolen for him, and I presume he never will.” Sinha, 46, had remained free on bail, pending appeal, for the five years since a Manhattan jury convicted her of a depraved predation that might never have been exposed. The victim came forward only as a police officer in training, after he finally broke off their nine-year “relationship” in 2004 and Sinha embarked on a rampage of vengeance against her former boy toy, including making bogus accusations of assault and rape and repeated 911 calls and Civilian Complaint Review Board allegations. “This case came at great personal embarrassment to him,” Assistant District Attorney Robert Hettleman, chief of the Manhattan DA’s child-abuse unit, said of the victim, whose courage he praised. The victim, whose name is being withheld, was a Queens-based, 24-year-old rookie when he testified against Sinha in 2007, and remains a cop, Hettleman said. Sinha spoke briefly, and tearfully, at the proceeding, wasting not a word on apologies or regrets. Instead, she went on about how difficult the past eight years have been for her and her family, and the great sacrifices she had made to become an educator, given her family’s money and “the many doors open to me.” “Most people thought I did a very good job” in education, she told the judge. “If you deem it fit for me to go to prison, then that is what I will do,” she said. “I have gone through their life savings,” she complained, referring to her family. “I have gone through my life savings a long time ago.” Sinha tried through veteran defense lawyer Gerald Shargel to argue for a reduction in sentence. She suffers from glaucoma and diabetes, and has fainting spells and anxiety problems, Shargel told the judge. This lady sounds like a trip. Her perverted azz needs to be locked up for preying on young boys like that. Source

N.Y. Cops Brutally Beat Handcuffed Woman In Backseat After False Accusal Of Pet Droppings.

Ann Stanczyk had a Black Friday she'll never forget – the 49-year-old Queens woman says she was humiliated and beaten by two NYPD cops in a dispute over dog droppings. Pictures taken by her son a day after the Nov. 26 incident show Stanczyk with a welt under one eye and a garish purple bruise on her breast, plus injuries to her hands and knee. Yesterday, the Polish immigrant filed a complaint with the Civilian Complaint Review Board and plans to sue. “I just doing it to protect other people from police brutality,” Stanczyk told the Daily News. “I don't want what happened to me happen to anyone else. I want to protect the others. If it can happen to me it can happen to other people.” Stanczyk, a married housewife from Rockaway Beach, was walking her terrier, Psotka – Polish for “prankster” – when she wound up in a confrontation with two uniformed officers from the 100th Precinct, Shaun Grossweiler and Richard DeMartino. “They saw my dog and they said I didn't clean up,” said Stanczyk, fighting back tears as she spoke in halting English. “I said, 'No, she only pee.' They, of course, not agree with me and I say, 'Show me. Where is it?'” The officers found dog feces nearby, she said. “Pick it up,” she said one cop ordered her. “I got scared. I pick up. I said, 'It's cold, not belong to my dog.' When I smiled and said I didn't do anything, that made them very upset.” At that point, Stanczyk was handcuffed and arrested. When she used her feet to try to prevent them from closing the patrol car door to secure her, she says, the beating began. “I get scared to death,” she said. “I started to scream, 'My dog! My dog!' They punch me in my face. They punch me in my breast. They punch me in my stomach.” A neighbor ran over to take Psotka and cops took Stanczyk to the precinct. She was treated for her injuries – her knee still requires physical therapy – and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Court papers indicate police accused Stanczyk of causing a ruckus by yelling at the officers to leave her alone. They also said she locked her hands in front of her to avoid arrest. The case was adjourned until May, when it will be dismissed as long as she stays out of trouble. Stanczyk had never been arrested before. She lost her job as a nurse in 2008 when she failed to attend a training program after an argument with a coworker. Her lawyer, Jon Norinsberg, said the workplace disagreement is “something that uneqivocally had nothing to do with what happened with police beating her the way they beat her.” Stanczyk said nothing she did warranted her injuries. She can't get past what happened. “I am afraid to leave the apartment,” she said. “I call my friends and beg them to go out with me. I feel better to stay home all the time.” Grossweiler, a four-year veteran, and DeMartino, a 10-year veteran, did not respond to a request for comment. The Specter of a Lame Duck Congress

I have no idea what is going to happen in the November congressional elections, but it seems the polls — for what they’re worth — predict a huge Republican win. It may or may not happen, I just don’t know, but if it does and the aisles of Congress are littered with Democrats who will be kicked out in the New Year, will they feel they don’t have anything to lose and try to pass the remainder of their socialistic agenda before they’re forced to leave. And if lame duck Democrats try to do this will the Republicans and remaining Democrats who will return have the guts and the honor to block them? Will they let cap and trade, card check and all the other catastrophic crap they have proposed be passed? America has not even begun to feel the lash of Obama’s whip from the legislation his sycophants have already passed. The cost of health care insurance is already going up in anticipation of the restrictions Obamacare will put on insurance companies. The federal unemployment numbers continue to hover right around 10% and there’s no telling what the actual numbers are. The economy is headed for the pits and you could run out of ink trying to add all the zeros to the national debt. How much more can this nation take? We may well find out with a lame duck Congress, a room full of ticked off losers who want to show the country that they’ll still have their way although the very programs they would be passing into law are what got them kicked out of office to start with. But let’s just get something straight; just because somebody has an “R” after their name doesn’t mean they are the kind of conservatives it will take to undo some of the damage Obama and the Democrats have done. Remember some of them were bitter disappointments voting for bills they knew their constituents were against and some of them sold out for favors only them and Obama’s operatives know about. I don’t claim to know what it will take to bring America out this morass we’re in but there are a few common sense factors that are tried and true. The old Democrat mantra, “tax cuts for the rich” is misleading it’s not the rich they’re hurting when they raise taxes. The rich people are going to get along just fine. They’ll just hang on to their money instead of investing it in businesses to create more jobs. The card check proposal is nothing short of ridiculous. What business is it of anybody’s how somebody casts their vote for union leadership or anything else for that matter? This just opens someone up for intimidation and ostracizing and subverts the very heart of the Democratic process. Nobody even knows how the health care fiasco will play out, even those in Congress who sold out the people who voted them in to pass it. But there’s something I can guarantee you; the cost of health care will go up instead of going down as Obama said it would. In fact it’s going way up. If nothing else, the new bureaucracies it will take to administer and enforce it will see to that. Obama is insincere in really wanting to do something to bring down the cost of health care as no meaningful bill could possible leave out tort reform. If we’re not going to let our troops win the war in Afghanistan, we should just write off that part of the world and bring them home. Why keep dribbling American lives down the drain in a country where most of the people don’t want us there to start with. The only way we’ll ever destroy the Taliban is to accept tremendous collateral damage to the civilian population and evidently we’re never going to do that so why stay? A year or so after we pull the troops out of Iraq that country will go right back to what it was except this time the mullahs in Iran will be calling the shots. The most dangerous and powerful enemy in that part of the world is Iran; they export terrorism and arm our enemies. Until something meaningful is done about them our efforts in that part of the world are meaningless and any victory is temporary. Playing politics with the energy production in this country is going to play out to be a stupid and horribly costly mistake because one day. Sooner than later, the oil from the Persian Gulf will suddenly stop coming to this country. We should be drilling in ANWR, and the shale deposits in our western states and bring these sources on line before this catastrophe happens. I agree that we should be pursuing alternative energy sources for all we’re worth, but let’s face it… We’ve been pursuing them for years and are not anywhere near the point that we can depend on them. Let’s go for it, make an all out effort to harness wind and water, create fuel cells, build nuclear plants, discover non-food supply sources of ethanol. But in the meantime, we’re going to need petroleum and we’re not going to get it by the feeble and superficial gestures the federal government is making. You want alternative energy? Make it profitable for the private sector. Get out of their way and it will happen. A government that sues a state for keeping the law and turns a blind eye to sanctuary cities for breaking it is seriously out of balance and needs to have its priorities adjusted. Let’s hope that will happen in November.
