Steven Seagal Lawman Revived By A&E

Is a Steven Seagal comeback in the offing? On the heels of his self-deprecating Machete performance, Vulture wrote an affectionate tribute to the action star, and now A&E will air eight already-shot episodes of his docu-series Steven Seagal Lawman , scuttled after a sex case was brought against him (which was later dismissed ). Jenny McCarthy, you may want to change the channel . [ THR ]

Postcard from Venice: Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere Tranfixes, Julian Schnabel’s Miral Disappoints

Film festivals aren’t always the glamorous affairs they’re made out to be. Aside from the usual red carpet action, at most festivals it’s unusual to see famous types out and about, potentially rubbing shoulders with mere mortals. And as much as I love the occasional random surprise celebrity sighting, that’s fine with me. The downside to most festivals is that there’s too much to see in an extremely short amount of time, and I need some real life banked around my movies.

This is the movie that was announced last year with Sandler tapped to play “twin siblings at odds during Thanksgiving.” Seriously? Seriously. If that sounds like the pitch to one of the fake Sandler films from Judd Apatow’s Funny People , that’s probably because it might be. Ahead, Movieline pits Jack & Jill against the oeuvre of George Simmons.

Vanessa Hudgens’ Hotness Is A Security Threat

It looks like Vanessa Hudgens is stepping up her game, here she is at the airport looking good in a nice see through top. No need for one of those creepy x-ray machines here, although I would like to what else she’s got under there. I think the only thing she’s hiding is a nice little body, but if I were a security guard I’d be very suspicious of this one, I think I’d have to take a closer look just to make sure… This might take a while.
