What does an actor do when he or she has a role to which he or she can’t relate? They try to put themselves in that person’s shoes, or in Emma Watson’s case, in their tumblr blog . When watching the The Bling Ring trailer one might wonder how Watson – a woman who is, by all accounts, rather unassuming, despite her star status – might find a way to relate to the character of Nicki in the upcoming Sofia Coppola film. To accomplish this goal, the actress took to tumblr and created her own tumblog that does a pretty decent job at capturing the mentality and artistic talent of a typical tumblr user. The bathroom selfie… the obsession with celebrity… and even the shutterstock background are all perfect. Well done, Emma Watson! If you ever want to revamp my tumblr, just say the word!
Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Eric Church each picked up four nominations on Monday for the 2013 CMT Awards, to be held June 5 in Nashville. Fellow country veterans Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts, as well as first-time nominees Florida Georgia Line, earned three nods each. Carrie Underwood, the frontrunner at last year’s CMT Awards nominations with an impressive five (and won video of the year), has two nods this year. She is joined by Taylor Swift , Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Hunter Hayes, Jana Kramer, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town and the rock group Journey. Lambert’s “Mama’s Broken Heart” is up for video of the year and female video of the year. She’s also up for group video and CMT performance of the year. Bryan and Church, will square off in the same four categories: video of the year, male video, collaborative video and CMT performance of the year. It will be a busy night for the newly-single Jason Aldean , who, along with his three nominations, is co-hosting the show with actress Kristen Bell. Along with Aldean, Lambert has also made celebrity gossip headlines of late, thanks to the (alleged) rough patch she and Blake Shelton have hit. In any case, it’s all about the music on this occasion. Congrats to the CMT Awards nominees of 2013!
Steve Carell is bringing back Michael Scott, if only for one night. Having left at the end of Season 7 more than two years ago, the beloved actor will return to The Office for the series’ May 16 finale, according to reports. Just last week, creator Greg Daniels sought to quell talk of a Carell cameo, saying he did not want to overshadow the ending for the rest of the characters. Reading between the lines, that meant Michael Scott’s return would only be a small part of the series’ much-anticipated swan song, not the focal point. Reliable sources say he will return a week from Thursday, and this weekend, Carell surprised thousands of Office fans at a wrap party in Scranton, Pa. In related news, that was the same function in the sitcom’s real-life setting that longtime co-star Rainn Wilson ripped US Airways for making him late to. And in other (potential) Carell news, we think he’d be a good choice to star as the lead in the recently-announced Mister Rogers movie . Don’t you? Actress reportedly in talks to follow up ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ and ‘The Bling Ring’ with biblical epic. By Kevin P. Last year, she had a supporting role in the well-received My Week With Marilyn ,” and she just wrapped her turn as a bad girl in Sofia Coppola’s ” The Bling Ring .” Now, Deadline New York is reporting that Watson is in talks for a role in Darren Aronofsky ‘s biblical epic, ” Noah .” Watson would play Ila, a young woman on that famous ark, who, according to Deadline, develops a “close relationship” with the character Shem, played by Douglas Booth . “Noah” will feature Russell Crowe as the title character, the man who gathers two of every animal and builds an enormous boat to continue life on Earth after an apocalyptic flood. The ambitious project has added a few other castmembers in recent weeks with Watson’s ” Perks of Being a Wallflower ” co-star Logan Lerman and Booth both signing on to play Noah’s sons Ham and Shem, respectively. Watson may have been sending her fans a small hint about potentially joining the film. On May 22, the actress tweeted , “Just added @DarrenAronofsky. I love his work.
