Yes, Private Practice fans, the rumors are true: Kate Walsh is leaving after the show’s 13-episode sixth season. The actress herself confirmed the news this morning during an appearance on Bethenny , telling the host and her viewers: “This is my last season of Private Practice . It’s been an incredible journey and an amazing ride… and I feel incredibly grateful to [series creator] Shonda Rhimes and all the fans that have been there from day one ’til now.” Bethenny Promo ABC is yet to confirm whether season six will be the final one for the show itself, but Walsh is looking forward to her exit and how it will play out. “I’m really excited about the last season. I am,” she told Frankel, concluding of her decision to depart: “It’s bittersweet… a huge chapter of my life.” Bethenny premiered her daily talk show on Monday by trying to milk divorce rumors for ratings. Elizabeth Banks has been rumored for the part of Effie Trinket in the upcoming film adaptation of The Hunger Games, according to new reports. A buzzed-about cast already features Jennifer Lawrence as lead character Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta and Liam Hemsworth as Gale. The rumor of Banks as Effie , a flaky bureaucrat who escorts her district’s young death-match contestants to their fate, was first reported by Variety. Lionsgate would not confirm whether Banks will be joining the film, based on the bestselling young-adult novel (the first in a hit trilogy) by Suzanne Collins. The Hunger Games takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, one boy and one girl from each district are chosen to fight to the death in a televised event.
