When Miley Cyrus isn’t busy smoking weed with Wiz Khalifa , she occasionally gets down to writing and recording music. And some of it is pretty good. The singer’s breakup ballad tore up the charts when it was released in August and now a country-fied cover version by the Dixie Chicks is going viral and wowing YouTubers. You may remember the Dixie Chicks, George W. Bush controversy from several years back, and while the band has been flying low on most folks’ radar since then, it seems they’re still drawing crowds and taking country music to interesting new places. Miley may be closer to the hip-hop world these days, but as the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, she’s no stranger to country. Maybe she’ll join the Chicks on stage at some and help them re-imagine “We Can’t Stop” or “Party In the USA.” Okay, probably not, but at least she know she’s got some fans amongst older musicians. Just a few months ago, Miley was best known for dropping jaws during the VMAs. Now, against all odds, she’s actually beginning to gain as much attention for her work as for tongue-wagging antics.
Justin Bieber suddenly has company. The singer, who has so often felt the wrath of Drake Bell, is once again the focus of this young actor’s ire. But he isn’t alone this time. In an extended interview with BuzzFeed, Bell goes off on Bieber, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga, mostly in regard to how they don’t call out their fans for engaging in unruly behavior. According to Bell, Bieber (who Bell has called a ” little sh-t “) and Gaga “don’t come out and say, ‘I love having you as my fans, but you shouldn’t be acting this way.'” “They just eat it all up,” he adds, “and I think it’s repulsive.” Bell would also love to see Justin Bieber deported . With Bieber so often in the news these days, his supporters have been on the attack against the singer’s critics – and Bell can’t stand how Justin encourages their antagonistic responses. “Justin Bieber just tweets, ‘Yeah, Beliebers, go hard’ when they’re attacking somebody,” Drake says. ” Ariana Grande fans told Perez Hilton that he and his son needed to die and get cancer, and she just fed it. It’s disgusting.” Bell wishes A-listers would “get on a pedestal” and explain to their fans how “to treat people.” But he isn’t holding his breath for this to happen any time in the near future. Bieber is “going around telling kids that as long as you have enough money and swag, you can do whatever you want,” Bell laments, adding: “Instead of working to change the world, [he’s saying,] ‘Work to get as much money and power as possible because then you can do whatever you want and no one can say anything to you.’” “I just think that’s a gross, awful, terrible message.” What do you think, readers? Lots of fans felt duped by Monday’s How I Met Your Mother finale , and it turns out that may be just how the show’s creators wanted us to feel. How I Met Your Mother Finale Recap Josh Radnor – who played Ted Mosby on the long-running CBS sitcom – says HIMYM’s title was always intended to be a “fake-out,” as the show’s creators planned and partially filmed the controversial ending years ago. Radnor says he thought showrunners Craig Thomas and Carter Bays might change their mind after introducing audiences to “the Mother” actress Cristin Milioti, but the writers stuck to their original plan. “Especially after Cristin,” Radnor said in a recent interview. “Because she was so wonderful and the fans seemed to really take to her. So I asked them, ‘Are you guys still doing that?’ And they said yeah.” As for the title, Radnor says the cast and crew always treated it as something of a red herring: “Really it was more about these are the crazy adventures and these are the lessons I had to learn before I met your mother,” says Radnor. “Part of the DNA of the show is they lead you one way and then they pull you back.” Those are some good justifications, but we think it sounds like Josh wasn’t too thrilled with that ending either. The reality star took to Twitter last night and said a member of the so-called press “almost crashed into my car today!” She added that she’s “still shaking” from the experience and asked: “He put me in such danger! When will this legalized stalking stop???!!!???” Ex-boyfriend Nick Lachey, of course, explained to a magazine last month how Kardashian often called photographers to alert them to her presence around town. On Friday, meanwhile, Kanye West slammed his head into a metal street pole while attempting to avoid members of the paparazzi in Los Angeles. It was rather hilarious.
Leah Messer Calvert announced on the second half of MTV’s Teen Mom 2 reunion special Monday night that she is pregnant with her third child! Or was, anyway. On last season’s Teen Mom 2 reunion, Leah promised Dr. Drew that she wouldn’t try to get pregnant with new husband Jeremy Calvert any time soon. So much for that. As a 20-year-old remarried mom of twins, Leah is the last person who should be thinking about having kids, but hey. It’s been done at this point. She had the kid. Awhile ago. These MTV reunion shows are odd in that the information being relayed is far outdated by the time it makes it air. Some concerns are universal and timeless, however. Dr. Drew is also worried about the distance between Leah and Jeremy, who works out of town six days a week, and feels that will take its toll. However, Leah Messer does have a strong co-parenting partner in ex-husband Corey Simms, who is also happily engaged to Miranda Patterson. They both agree they are better as friends and co-parents, and Jeremy and Corey genuinely get along, so if nothing else, that dynamic is working. Even Dr. Drew concedes they are all doing “remarkably” well. Meanwhile, Chelsea Houska admits she is still struggling to raise Aubree by herself as a single mom, and is so tired of all the drama with Adam Lind. She doesn’t think he puts enough effort into co-parenting, only sees Aubree when it’s convenient, yet she still hooks up with him now and then. Totally normal. Chelsea Houska’s dad, Randy, thinks she needs to move on and deserves better, and that the fighting is only going to stop if the two stop hooking up. Interesting theory. For now, she says she’s going to focus on finishing school, and will finally move on from her baby daddy. We will not hold our breath. Based on a new report, Mariah Carey will soon have plenty of time on her hands. She and her fellow American Idol judges are expected to be let go by Fox very soon after Season 12 concludes.
