Jon Stewart Takes to WWE Ring, Kicks Wrestler in the Gonads

Well, we now know what Jon Stewart will do after he leaves The Daily Show . And wrestlers around the WWE should be cowering in fear. Or at least covering their groin. The Comedy Central host appeared on Monday Night RAW last night, interrupting a segment titled “The Daily Show with Seth Rollins.” It featured grappler Seth Rollins talking trash about Stewart and how he failed as an Oscars host and how he’s a “wuss and a phony” and how no one saw his directorial debut, Rosewater. Rollins then said he would force Stewart to “retire immediately” if he dared come into the ring because it’s “hard to host a phony news show with your jaw wired shut.” And then Stewart came into the ring! And he said he has something Rollins will never have: Respect . And then he kicked Rollins in the nuts! It was awesome! Stewart has referenced in the past how he watches WWE with his son and Rollins started this feud on February 16 when he told a crowd in Orlando that he could easily take over The Daily Show and make it “watchable.” Stewart responded with a video in which he addressed the wrestler with the following taunt: “Seth Rollins, you’ve made a lot of mistakes in your life… but this is the biggest mistake you’ve ever made by coming after The Daily Show. Daniel Tosh Rape Joke Results in Uproar, Apology

Daniel Tosh has been known to push the envelope, but a recent joke about an audience member being gang-raped took it too far, even by his standards. On Friday, the star of Comedy Central’s Tosh.0 was doing standup at The Laugh Factory in L.A. and said at one point that rape jokes are always funny. After a female audience member vocally disagreed, things got ugly. According to the woman, Tosh said, “Wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now? Like right now? What if a bunch of guys just raped her.” The woman and her friend, both “completely stunned” and “humiliated,” high-tailed it out of there as the audience guffawed in response to Tosh’s wisecrack. After she documented the experience on Tumblr, Tosh linked to the post and tweeted , “all the out of context misquotes aside, I’d like to sincerely apologize.” Smart move, though Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada was quick to defend him: “Comedians tell jokes and sometimes they can be off color … Daniel Tosh is one of the most caring people I know. He had no intentions of hurting anyone.” “I understand where she’s coming from, but [Tosh] didn’t attack [her] … I feel bad for her and I apologize to her. If you are a member of the audience and you start dishing out something to a comedian, you better be able to take it.” Also fair. What do you think? Should Daniel have apologized? UPDATE: The woman complained to the manager but was offered and accepted a refund and two complimentary tickets to the club, so beef quashed.

Larry Flynt to Daniel Tosh: Run My Company!

Hustler CEO Larry Flynt is going to be out of town for a few weeks. That’s nice for him. Obviously, he wants Daniel Tosh to run Hustler while he’s gone. Flynt just shot a video message just for the Tosh.0 host, saying “I’m gonna be out of town and I WANT YOU to run Hustler ‘s editorial meeting.” Why Daniel Tosh of all people? Flynt’s camp says he’s kicking around idea of a guest editor … and he just likes the guy. That’s all there is to it. Who knew Larry was such a big fan of viral video-related comedy? A Hustler rep tells TMZ , “[Tosh] will be allowed to plan the magazine’s editorial meetings for one month … he will be given a blank canvas.” Flynt’s even offering Tosh his own office with a “Hustler model secretary.” Hustler hasn’t heard back from Tosh regarding the unique offer. The show is as simple, and hilarious, as it gets. Tosh stands in front of a green screen and makes fun of clips/videos on the Internet. Such material has earned Tosh.0 an average of 2.4 million viewers, about 400,000 more than tune in for The Daily Show .
