Ami Brown is Confined to a Wheelchair. See the Sad Photo Here.

We have an update on the condition of Ami Brown. Unfortunately, however, it is not a positive one. As previously detailed on The Hollywood Gossip and on episodes of Alaskan Bush People this season, the Brown family matriarch is sick. She’s very sick.  She’s been diagnosed with lung cancer . On an earlier installment of the aforementioned Discovery Channel series, Ami’s husband said his wife was suffering from the Stage 3 level of this disease, but further tests may prove she’s in Stage 4. This would be the most severe type of lung cancer. It would mean Ami does not have very much time left. And while we cannot verify at the moment just which Stage Amy is at, a new photo shared on Facebook depicts the reality star in a wheelchair: “We found this recent photo of Billy, Ami and two lucky fans that was taken in California last night,” wrote son Matt Brown as a caption, adding: “We love Ami’s sweet smile! Don’t forget that Alaskan Bush People returns on Wednesday, Aug. 9th at 9PM ET on the Discovery channel. Have a great weekend!!” Ami has scarcely been seen out in public since her diagnosis. But her loved ones took her to California in order to receive treatment several weeks ago, a sure sign that things were not progressing well because the Browns are famous for almost never leaving their remote enclave in Alaska. “Bill and the kids are very loving and supportive,” Ami has said on air, trying to remain positive and adding: “They’re all worried. I tell them, don’t worry. Please don’t worry. Be happy … keep the faith. Good or bad, it’s God’s will and we’ll walk that road.” The situation is so dire that estranged members of Brown’s family are wondering if they’ll have a chance to reconcile before Ami dies . Even Alaskan Bush People producers, such as Sheila McCormack, have weighed in. “The radiation is five days a week for six weeks,” she said this week. “That’s the direct radiation, not the chemotherapy. After the radiation once a week she goes to another building and they put an IV in her and she gets chemotherapy for four hours.” As far as we know, the Browns remain in southern California while Ami undergoes this difficult treatment. Our thoughts remain with her throughout the ordeal. We hope we can end up including her in the following photo gallery when all is said and done: View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Beat Cancer

Alaskan Bush People Recap: KABOOM!!!

Alaskan Bush People went to a couple pretty dark places on Wednesday night. First, the family continued to deal with the tragic fact that Ami Brown has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The last time we checked in with this Discovery Channel family, patriarch Billy had told his kids that the cancer was Stage 3, but doctors were in the middle of determining whether it was Stage 4. Which would mean Ami really does not have much time remaining. The illness is so serious that most of the Browns left Alaska many weeks ago in order to be with Ami while she sought treatment in southern California. On the latest installment of this reality series, we learned more about said treatment. “Ami’s hurting pretty bad,” Billy told viewers. “We’re in for probably a lot harder road than we’ve ever faced. There’s no doubt about that.” Unsure exactly what the doctors had told them about what’s on tap for Ami, the family asked one of the show’s producers to interpret the news they received at UCLA Medical Center. “The radiation is 5 days a week for 6 weeks,” Sheila McCormack therefore explained, adding: “After the radiation, once a week she goes to the other building and they put an IV in her and she gets chemotherapy for four hours.” “What’s going on now is the most difficult thing we’ve gone through because of who it’s happening to – because it’s mom and because of what it is,” said son Bam on air. “It makes a house burning down or a boat sinking or needing 5 stitches no big deal. This is really difficult. I don’t even know what to say.” Ami may also need to go on a feeding tube because she’s down to 94 pounds and doctors say she needs her strength to fight the cancer. “All the things that we’ve overcome, all the obstacles that have been in front of us, taught us that whatever lies ahead, as long as we keep faith in family and God, we’ll be alright,” said Billy, clearly and understandably shaken up over this awful news. Elsewhere on the episode, Matt nearly died. Left alone in Brownton about two months ago because his family was by Ami’s side, Matt was found injured in a home explosion. The event took place when cameras were not rolling, but they picked up the action after medics arrived on the scene and found Matt bleeding from the head. “This is bad, man. He doesn’t look good. Safety, prep for an evac,” a production member was head yelling at one point while Matt was heard screaming “Oh my God!”  According to a TMZ report at the time this incident took place, Matt had filled a mason jar with gunpowder and cannon fuse and stored it in his refrigerator. It then exploded, blowing the doors off this kitchen appliance and into Matt’s skull. Back in California, already concerned about their mother, the kids were told that Matt was also in the hospital. “I don’t know what happened. I know that Matt was alone in Brownton and I can only imagine how heavy that must have been and the kind of mindset that would put you in,” said Bam. “I don’t want to speculate. I just know that he was trying to keep up a strong, brave front for everybody and I think he just cracked a little bit.” Matt ended up getting airlifted to a hospital in Juneau, where he was placed in intensive care. A few days later, he touched down in Southern California and told Bam that physicians used nine staples to close the wound on his scalp. “I’ve gone through all this, bro. It’s a lesson: life is fragile,” said Matt to his sibling “The bush’s rule one, the moment you take your mind off everything, is the one that it get – and it got me.” “It didn’t get you,” replied Bam. “It almost got you. You survived and that’s the important part.” Let’s hope the same ends up being true for Ami.

Craig Strickland Death: New Details Emerge

A few hours after the confirmed death of Craig Strickland , the singer’s wife has taken to Instagram in order to pay tribute to her late husband. She has also provided new details about his passing. Strickland, the frontman for Backroad Anthem, had been missing for seven days after he and a friend went duck hunting last week in Oklahoma. The body of Chase Morland was recovered soon afterward, with everyone assuming the same fate had sadly befallen Strickland. Following the discovery of Strickland’s corpse on Monday, it has been confirmed that the two men were killed when their boat got caught in a winter storm and eventually capsized. “We can finally rest knowing that he is at Home in Heaven with his Father,” Helen Strickland wrote on Instagram. “The night of the accident he had fought his way out of the water and up a hill before the stages of hypothermia set in. He experienced no pain in his final moments and simply felt like he was falling asleep.” Strickland’s wife went on to say that her husband’s body was found “lying in the shape of a cross.” She took comforting in knowing “he saw Jesus at that moment,” expressed gratitude to all who have reached out over the past week and concluded: “There was not a more peaceful way for him to go into the arms of our Lord, and I know your prayers had a role in making that happen. “I love you with all my heart Craig Michael.” We send our condolences to Helen and all of Craig Strickland’s loved ones.
