Lamar Odom Will Not Face Charges For Trashing Photographer’s Equipment According to TMZ Lamar Odom has just dodged a bullet — he will NOT be prosecuted for trashing a photog’s equipment … TMZ has learned. The L.A. City Attorney will not file criminal vandalism charges against Khloe’s hubby for destroying a camera guy’s equipment last month in Hollywood. Instead, as TMZ reported several days ago, the matter will be set for an informal hearing in the City Attorney’s office. The hearing is basically a sit down with both Lamar and the photog. The hearing office will explain the ground rules when there’s a dispute between a celeb and the paparazzi. It’s possible … at the end of the hearing, Lamar could be ordered to attend anger management classes. But short story … victory for Lamar. Lamar not facing charges gives him more time to focus on keeping his birds quiet and mending his dirty doggin’ ways.

Kobe Bryant’s Parents Say Son Is A Liar According to TMZ Kobe Bryant’s parents have turned their backs on their son — claiming Kobe was LYING when he accused his mother of stealing more than a million dollars worth of his basketball memorabilia … and putting it up for auction, TMZ has learned. Kobe’s mom and dad — Pamela and Joe — both filed sworn declarations in the legal dispute between Kobe and Goldin Auctions, the auction house planning to sell off the valuable stuff … insisting Kobe willingly gave his mother the items in question … and it’s her right to sell them. According to Kobe’s dad, Kobe gave his mother the memorabilia over the years, telling her, “Here mom, these are for you.” Kobe’s mom insists she never took anything from him without permission. Even Kobe’s grandma has filed a declaration in support of Pamela. Kobe’s sister Sharia Washington, on the other hand, filed a declaration claiming their mother has been conspiring to sell Kobe’s stuff for years … telling her the family could profit greatly from Kobe’s stardom. Who’s lying? As we reported, Kobe has countersued, claiming his mother stole the memorabilia from his house. He wants to stop Goldin from selling the items and to have them returned to him. A Florida man has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting his drunken roommate in an argument over a pork chop … seriously. Thomas Hahn, 55, killed one of his three roommates on Tuesday night after the roommate arrived home drunk, according to the Orlando Sentinel . The two had argued about how to cook pork chops and police said the alleged murderer took a .22-caliber Ruger rifle and fired at least three shots. Two shots struck the roommate, killing him immediately . When police arrived at their home, they found Hahn’s 35-year-old victim lying dead on the floor with the alleged shooter sitting nearby. “This appears to be a senseless act of violence stemming from a minor domestic dispute between roommates,” said police Chief Mark Barker in a statement. “There is no clear answer as to why [he] acted with such extreme violence.” Never is. No matter how much views differ on what the best pork chop or pork tenderloin recipe might be, just put the guns down, people. Put them down.

Didn’t he just get out of jail?? Floyd Mayweather could be in hot water again following a domestic dispute with Melissa Brim, the mother of his daughter. Las Vegas police responded to a 911 call on Sept. 9 made by Brim claiming to be in a “verbal altercation” with Mayweather according to reports. Police arrived at Brim’s address and found “no signs of physical violence,” according to police spokesperson Laura Melzer. Brim declined to press charges and it’s unclear whether the alleged altercation could be deemed a violation of Mayweather’s parole. Mayweather is serving a year’s probation following two months in jail after pleading guilty in December to domestic battery and no contest to two counts of harassment in the assault of Josie Harris, the mother of three of the boxer’s children. This is the third time police have been called to handle a dispute between Mayweather and Brim. The first two occurred in 2001 and 2003. Floyd needs to keep as far away from her as he can and when he needs to see his daughter, have an aide or one of the many moochers he keeps on his payroll pick her up. End of physical disputes. Suri Cruise likely holds the key to divorce settlement talks between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, even if the six-year-old has no idea of this fact. Lawyers for both sides are trying to work out a settlement that would avoid a costly, ugly, protracted and public court dispute between them. Custody of young Suri could make or break that deal, as Tom insists any deal offers him “meaningful, significant contact with his daughter.” One source put it, “She is the primary concern in his life.” Katie filed for sole custody in June , reportedly prompted by fears that Tom’s Scientology beliefs would become a central component of her life. Tom’s people have disputed this, albeit without really elaborating. Regardless, Holmes’ camp reportedly has assured Tom he will be able to spend time with his daughter when he finishes his new movie shoot. Lawyers for both sides met for a full business day on Saturday, working on not just a temporary stopgap but a settlement for the divorce. Attorneys are negotiating custody, visitation, support and property settlement, and while the tone has been “calm,” things are still in flux. Jay beats ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ in his first week back, but the gap narrows in the second week. By Josh Wigler Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” Photo: NBC Despite the strong showing of fan support for freshly ousted “Tonight Show” host Conan O’Brien, it appears that many late-night television viewers have settled their personal differences with NBC and Jay Leno. According to The Associated Press, Leno averaged 5.6 million viewers in his first week back as the host of NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” easily outmatching the 3.66 million that tuned in for CBS’ “The Late Show With David Letterman.” Letterman, who consistently beat O’Brien in ratings throughout the recently departed host’s run on “The Tonight Show,” famously finished in second place next to Leno before he vacated the talk-show chair for his failed prime-time experiment, “The Jay Leno Show.” Additionally, Leno’s return to late night proved beneficial to “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” Entertainment Weekly reports that the “Saturday Night Live” castmember-turned-host beat out CBS’ “The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson” by a margin of 147,000 viewers. While Leno’s first week marked a decisive win for NBC over CBS, his second week back wasn’t quite as victorious. From Monday through Thursday of this week, Leno averaged 4.3 million viewers against Letterman’s 4 million, depicting a much closer race between the late-night hosts than Leno’s first week back behind the desk seemed to indicate. Leno returned to “The Tonight Show” last week following a widely publicized dispute between NBC and Conan O’Brien. In his first show following his return to the 11:35 p.m. time slot, Leno joked that he would hold on to the “Tonight Show” hosting gig “at least for a while.” Since his departure from “The Tonight Show,” O’Brien — who is contractually prohibited from making television appearances until September 2010 — has kept his presence intact by joining Twitter and announcing a national comedy tour that will take place from April 12 through June.
