As his wife sat front and center during his trial, El Chapo’s reported mistress testified against him during his drug trafficking trial in Brooklyn. Lucero Guadalupe Sanchez Lopez, 29, gave teary-eyed testimony of how Chapo made her his “house-wife” and recounted a recounted a three-year relationship in which she said she periodically slept with Guzman, helped him buy hundreds of kilos of marijuana and joined the butt-naked alleged leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel in escaping Mexican Marines though a secret underground tunnel under his bathroom tub. A California judge just granted Matt Barnes sole legal and physical custody of their twin 10-year-old sons according to a breaking TMZ report . After granted Barnes sole custody of the kids, the judge ordered ex-wife Govan to complete 26 sessions of anger management and 10 parenting classes. Matt also reportedly obtained an 18-month restraining order against Gloria claiming she’s a physical danger to him. But Gloria doesn’t TOTALLY lose out on raising her kids. The restraining order was granted through May 2020 but does not extend to the kids. The judge doesn’t believe Gloria poses a danger to them. Gloria will get regular visitation — that is every other weekend from Friday until Monday morning. She is also allowed to have dinner with the kids every Wednesday evening. This decision comes after months of bickering back in forth inside and outside of the courtroom over their children. The exes had an explosive argument that resulted in Gloria’s arrest. Matt reported she allegedly flew into a rage in her car , blocking Matt and the kids from driving away from their school. Gloria’s charges for criminal child endangerment were dropped. This decision is good news for Matt Barnes who was looking to lower his $20,000 a month child support payments. Matt recently filed documents claiming he pays tuition and takes care of all the necessities for his kiddies. Right now, Matt makes $161,000 per month (until 2020), according to docs obtained by The Blast . Whew, child!
It’s been five months since Bill Cosby was found guilty of raping Andrea Constand in 2004. Today, a sentencing hearing for the disgraced comedy legend began, and while it looks increasingly likely that Cosby will go to prison for his crimes, many feel that the 81-year-old will likely escape with a much lighter sentence than he deserves. In a Pennsylvania courtroom today, prosecutor Kevin Steele implored a sentencing judge to throw the book at Cosby with 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine for the crime of drugging and sexually assaulting Constand. “This is about a person who put himself in a situation of being a mentor,” Steele told the court. “We know he had other intentions right from the beginning: What he saw in Andrea the first time he laid eyes on her, what his plan was,” he continued. “He used his fame. He doesn’t recognize that it’s wrong to drug somebody and sexually assault them.” Those present in the courtroom described Steele as “very emotional” noting that the prosecutor was “almost crying” during his closing statements. Cosby’s victim also addressed the court, providing a brief statement in what one observer described as a clear, unemotional voice: “I have testified, I have given you my victim impact statement. You heard me, the jury heard me and Mr. Cosby heard me,” Constand said. “All I’m asking for is justice as the court sees fit.” Sentencing has been delayed until at least Tuesday due to the absence of a defense witness who was unable to testify today, but we already have a rough idea of what’s in store for Cosby. While the TV personality who was once dubbed “America’s dad” could face up to 30 years in prison, the judge in his case informed the courtroom today that Cosby will not serve a sentence of longer than three years. Sources connected to the case are said to be outraged by the judge’s determination and believe it to be the result of the defense’s assertion that Cosby is too old and infirm to represent a threat to the public. Remember when Kanye West and Jay Z used to be friends? Oh, how times have changed … Jay and Kanye go all the way back to the early 2000s, when Kanye worked as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records. They’ve collaborated multiples times, most notably on the 2011 album Watch the Throne and the subsequent tour. Kanye has even been one of the key members in Jay Z’s music streaming company, Tidal. By all accounts, they’ve been extremely close for years — but at some point within the last several months, all that has changed. According to a rant Kanye went on during a concert last October, the issues started because he and Jay recorded verses for a Drake song, but Jay demanded the verses be excluded from the final cut “out of respect for Meek.” Because Meek Mill and Drake don’t get along, and Jay Z didn’t want to rock the boat. Kanye called it “some Tidal/Apple bullsh-t,” and he seemed very upset that Jay chose the politics of the music industry over artistry. His rant got more personal though as he claimed that their children have never played together, and that Jay Z never called him after Kim’s Paris robbery. A month later, he still had some feelings on the subject. “Jay Z, call me, bruh,” he begged during another concert. “You still ain’t called me. Jay Z, call me.” “Jay Z, I know you got killers, please don’t send them at my head . Just call me. Talk to me like a man.” The day after that, Kanye was hospitalized for his mental breakdown, so we imagine there’s a good chance Jay Z never got a hold of him. Several months went by without any updates on the feud, but just a couple of days ago, Jay Z dropped his brand new album on Tidal. And in one song, he made it clear that his issues with Kanye were far from resolved. “I know people backstab you, I feel bad too,” he rapped. “But this ‘f-ck everybody’ attitude ain’t natural. But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe , but you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye.” “You have him 20 million without blinkin’, he gave you 20 minutes on stage, f-ck was he thinkin’?” “‘F-ckin’ wrong with everybody?’, is that what you sayin’? But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.” And now Kanye has officially had it. According to a new report from TMZ, Kanye has officially left Tidal over claims that the company owes him over $3 million. He’s not leaving the company over Jay’s new song though — sources say that Kanye’s lawyers sent Tidal a letter about a month ago explaining his issues. The issues are that he was promised a bonus for bringing new subscribers to Tidal after exclusively releasing his last album through the service, but he never got the money. He also claims that the company was supposed to reimburse him for music videos for the album, but they haven’t done that, either. His lawyers have told Tidal that due to these issues, his contract was terminated, but Tidal disagrees — they say that they still have exclusivity for Kanye’s new music. They’ve said that if he goes against their original contract, they’ll sue, which is cool with Kanye, because he’ll sue them back. Again, remember when these guys were friends? Markeith Loyd May Be Permitted To Represent Himself On Trial After murdering his pregnant girlfriend in cold blood and gunning down a police officer at a Florida Wal Mart…Markeith Loyd is hoping to represent himself on trial — despite the fact that he potentially faces the death penalty. Loyd has already exhibited a streak of erratic and disrespectful behavior in the courtroom …so the judge had to take time to assess if the completely unqualified defendant was in any real mental state to make the call on defending himself. Via Orlando Sentinel : During his first appearances before judges at the Orange County Jail, Loyd swore repeatedly and claimed authorities were lying about his case. He also said he does not want to be appointed a public defender and plans to represent himself. On Thursday, Lauten laid out the reasons why Loyd may want to have an attorney: The charges he faces make him eligible for the death penalty in Florida if he is found guilty; a lawyer would be familiar with courtroom proceedings and know when to object; and a lawyer would be able to conduct pretrial depositions. He also explained some of the perils of not having representation: If Loyd decides to represent himself and is found guilty, he would not be able to appeal his case on the argument that he was not effective in representing himself, Lauten said. Lauten asked Loyd a few basic questions about courtroom proceedings, like whether he knows when attorneys can object to a juror’s selection using what is called a peremptory challenge. “No, it’d be my job to learn,” Loyd said. Loyd told the judge he had completed 10 years of formal education and earned a GED diploma. Lauten said Loyd would not be given any special privileges at the jail, like access to law libraries. WELP. Cocaine use… Stevie J Ordered To Rehab Again Stevie J just narrowly missed a stint in jail over his unpaid $1 million in child support. As previously reported Steebie was set to sit behind bars for unpaid support for two of his six kids , but apparently a judge sent him to rehab instead. Why? For alleged continued cocaine use. PageSix reports: Reality TV star and Grammy-winning record producer Steven Jordan was ordered to rehab followed by home detention for violating the terms of his bail. It’s the second time the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star, aka Stevie J, has been hauled into Manhattan federal court for using drugs while awaiting trial for failure to pay over $1 million in child support. Judge Debra Freeman warned Jordan that next time he’s caught, he will likely go straight to prison. Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew DeFilippis said Jordan failed multiple drugs tests, including in June and August, and that he has missed many more testing appointments. The Atlanta resident also flew to Buffalo, NY, without permission and has “adamantly denied” his drug use, DeFilippis told the judge. Jordan called the government’s concerns “lies” once outside the courtroom and challenged prosecutors to have it out face-to-face. He admitted to using coke twice this year — both times while in his LA studio. But said he never went to Buffalo, NY, in March without permission. “I never left without letting them know,” he said, before shouting at prosecutors walking back to their offices, calling them “clowns.” Jordan, who drove off in a Rolls-Royce, was arrested in 2014 for being a deadbeat dad to a son and daughter who lived with their mother in Pennsylvania Stevie was previously sent to rehab in November of last year.
