Gwinnett County police say someone is using real Gwinnett police names and badge numbers to threaten people with arrest if they don’t pay a ransom in bitcoin. A victim called 911 in a panic telling the dispatcher her friend received a threaten call from supposed police officer saying if she didn’t pay a fine she would be arrested by Gwinnett County Police Sargent Jake Smith. Sgt. Smith said he isn’t happy with criminals using his name to try to extort money from people and they are doing everything possible to find the scammer. There is a story circulating around Twitter from Black woman and writer who had a terribly disgusting experience with an Airbnb guest. The poor lady say she went through all the checks and stops to make sure her guests weren’t crazy but after a few years of using the app one recently slipped through the cracks and POOPED in her room. After coming home from a flight and realizing her usually closed bedroom door was ajar, Blue Telusma wrote that she discovered human feces in a chair and more dabbled on her things inside her bedroom. Her Airbnb guest, who stayed all the way in the BASEMENT admitted to “blacking out” and sh*tting on her stuff. After contacting Airbnb to have the man removed, Telusma says she was encouraged to wait it out. She waited and waited until she noticed a police officer nearby her house and let him know what was happening. The cop was also useless and let the poop perpetrator stay. WTF?!!? Update: when the new police arrived my @Airbnb guest played the victim & almost shed some tears. “What he did is nasty but not illegal” the cop said while sympathizing w/ the young white man. The new, popular psychotic drug “Monkey Dust” has been linked to a slew of violent attacks in the US recently. The Sun reports : The synthetic drug’s potent effects last for three days – with some users left unable to feel pain for up to a week. Addicts commonly believe they are being chased, and often try to climb building and lampposts to escape beasts from their vivid hallucinations. SMH.
Mom & Twin Daughters Dead In California Murder-Suicide This is incredibly sad . A mom and two of her three kids are dead after she reportedly set herself on fire inside her California home last weekend. The woman’s twin 14-year-old daughters were killed in the murder-suicide, while her 11-year-old daughter was injured but will recover, NYPost reports. The site states “Authorities say the girl was outside the house engulfed in flames Sunday and a police officer patrolling the area saw her. They say firefighters brought out the woman and her two daughters, but one of the twins died at the scene. The other teen and her mother died at a hospital.” In the wake of their untimely death, a video tribute was posted by the twins’ wrestling team. See that above.
A nother police misconduct incident has been gotten attention recently. An Arkansas police officer was fired after he told two Black men that they “don’t belong” in “his” city, CBS affiliate WFMY reported. Mike Moore was reprimanded after he told Demarcus Branch and his cousin Shannon Scribner to leave town, a video posted to Facebook on Tuesday (Aug. 7) revealed. The incident took place on July 21 in England, Arkansas, and involved Moore stalking them, the men said. Moore forcefully confronted Branch, who is an England native, and Scribner who were shooting a music video, the video showed. Branch told Moore that he noticed the officer was “following [them] everywhere” earlier in the day, but the unconcerned cop dismissed the comment. Moore than asked if the men were recording him speaking, to which they said yes. At that moment, the officer had a tense response. “You know why? Because you don’t belong in my city,” Moore said, referring to why the men were recording the incident. Branch then said that he and Scribner were from England. “But you understand, I know who my people are, right, who belongs here and who doesn’t?,” Moore said in response. “We’ve got gang wars going on, we’ve got all kinds of stuff. I come from the big city where this stuff is small, okay? So, that’s cool. Do your thing.” The exchange then ended with Moore going back to his car and telling the man that he would be getting his K-9 dog out of the vehicle. Moore allegedly stayed in the area while taking his dog out of the car and putting him back in it. After the incident, Branch and Scribner, whose uncle is also an England police officer, filed a complaint with the England Police Department. Dexter “3D” Pottinger was found stabbed to death in his Kingston home, according to The Independent . A police officer told The Jamaica Gleaner that “blood was splattered everywhere” and Pottinger was found face down in his bedroom with multiple wounds. Pottinger, who was also a makeup artist and former model, gained attention as a judge on the Jamaican reality TV show Make Me a Star . In 2016, he headlined Jamaica’s Pride Week celebration organized by J-FLAG (the Jamaica Forum of Lesbians, All-Sexuals, and Gays). “I hope that my participation will show members of J-FLAG that it is okay to come out in an atmosphere where there is no violence, realize that it’s your time to be part of the change — not just for the week but permanently as a part of the community,” Pottinger said. “It was hard for me as a youngster, but now my mother understands me more and my dad is cool, My siblings are also cool with me and my brother works with me.” Kingston police have arrested a male suspect , according to the Jamaica Observer . There is no word if Pottinger’s death was a hate crime. However, his missing vehicle was discovered miles away and two iPhones were said to be missing from the house. The investigation is ongoing. Last Saturday morning in Georgia, Shia LaBeouf was arrested for public drunkenness. This was not shocking, not even when we learned the actor lost his $hit simply because a stranger refused to give him a cigarette. However, how LaBeouf acted after he was approached by the police and taken into custody was unexpected, reprehensible and downright embarrassing… … even for the very low bar set by Shia LaBeouf over the past several months. First, in the arrest video below, LaBeouf grows more and more irate at arresting officers, shouting complete nonsense at the cops as they attempt to calm the troubled star down. “I have rights! I’m an American,” he screams at one point, adding of his situation and the handcuffs on his wrists: “You got me in my hotel, arresting me in my hotel for doing what, sir? … I’m a f-cking American, I pay my taxes, get these sh-ts off my f-cking arm.” Later, the 31-year old brags about his wealth ( I got more millionaire lawyers than you know what to do with, you stupid bitch! ) … flaunts a lack of logic ( Why would I ask for cigarettes if I was racist? ) … and condescends to the African-American officer taking him in: You’ve got a president who doesn’t give a f-ck about you, you’re on a police force that doesn’t give a f–k about you, and you wanna do what? In two new videos shared on Wednesday by TMZ, the star hurls racial insults and acts like a bigger, more biased and privlieged douchebag than we previously thought was possible. A whole lot of help. “I am deeply ashamed of my behavior and make no excuses for it. The severity of my behavior is not lost on me,” LaBeouf says, adding: “My outright disrespect for authority is problematic to say the least, and completely destructive to say the worst. “It is a new low. A low I hope is a bottom.” He also expresses gratitude for the “restraint” showed by the cops in light of his outbursts and concludes as follows: “I have been struggling with addiction publicly for far too long, and I am actively taking steps toward securing my sobriety and hope I can be forgiven for my mistakes.” LaBeouf has a long way to go. But anything is possible if he takes the proper steps.
Trey Songz’ SnapChats To Be Used In Assault Trial If you’ll recall, Tremaine was charged with assault on a Detroit police officer during a concert on back in December, where he reportedly threw a fit and tossed stage equipment around after his performance set was cut short at Joe Louis Arena. He’s charged with one count of assaulting a police officer causing injury and one count of aggravated assault. Now, the judge in the case is ruling that some of Trey’s statements regarding cops separate from the incident can be included in the case…just so the jury knows exactly where his head is at when it comes to police. Wayne County Circuit Judge Lawrence Talon ruled that some saved SnapChat videos depicting Trey making statements like “F*** the Police” were admissible into evidence by the prosecution. According to Fox 2 News Detroit , prosecutors argue: “Given the fact that the defendant is highly unsatisfied with police as shown from these videos ahead of time, saying all these vulgar comments about police, it is relevant to show that the defendant intended to do the crime that he is charged with.” Well that is some interesting reasoning…but obviously, the judge bought it. SMH, things aren’t looking too great for Trey… WENN
