Wow: School Superintendent Said “You Can’t Count On A Black Quarterback” When Referring To This Athlete

He *Mistakingly* Spills His Thoughts On The Internet A Texas superintendent for the Onalaska Independent School District let the world know how he really feels about Black quarterbacks and now he’s trying to backpedal. According to Chron.com,   Lynn Redden — who oversees the Onalaska school district almost 100 miles north of Houston — commented on a Facebook post promoting a Chron.com article about the Houston Texans’ recent game loss. He blamed the Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson for the loss. In the last play of the game, Watson held onto the ball as the final seconds counted down on the clock. He completed a pass to receiver DeAndre Hopkins, hoping he could make a last-second, game-tying field goal, but time had run out by then. In response, Redden commented on the Chron.com post saying, “That may have been the most inept quarterback decision I’ve seen in the NFL. When you need precision decision making you can’t count on a black quarterback.” Oh really? Redden thought he was responding to a private message from a friend when he posted his comment, but nope. It was right in the comment section of the Chron.com post. Redden said he deleted his comment when he realized it wasn’t a direct message. “I totally regret it,” he told Chron.com. But it was too late. A Spring resident, Matt Ericksen, sent Chron.com screenshots of the post on Monday morning. Ericksen said he didn’t have kids in the district, but he wanted to bring attention to what he thought was a blatantly racist comment. “It’s important to make sure horrible words are met with consequences, especially for those in powerful positions with influence,” Ericksen said. Despite all this, Redden still seemed to get away with his anti-Black comments. He told Chron.com that he hasn’t faced any consequences so far, as of Monday afternoon. He said he understands how folks might’ve interpreted his post as racist, but he didn’t intend for it to come off that way. Mhm. Redden said he was referring to statistics when he made the comment about Black quarterbacks. “Over the history of the NFL, they have had limited success,” he said. According to The Washington Post , a 2017 study by University of Colorado researchers show that unconscious racial biases influence views on quarterbacks. There have been two Black quarterbacks who’ve led their team to the Super Bowl, with Russell Wilson being the last one in 2013. According to the University of Colorado study, Black quarterbacks are seen as “talented and strong and their white counterparts as smart and hard-working.” So yea, your regular old racist thinking. Redden says he hopes none of the students in his school district saw his post. “I wish it had never been posted,” he said.

Julie Chen Bids Farewell To Her “The Talk” Co-Hosts [VIDEO]

Sonja Flemming/CBS via Getty Images Julie Chen Officially Steps Down From “The Talk” Today was a sad day for our friends at “The Talk” as longtime moderator Julie Chen appeared via video to say goodbye to her coworkers. Check out the clip and description below: “I have been at THE TALK since the day it started 9 years ago, and the cast, crew and staff have become family to me over the years. But right now, I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son, so I’ve decided to leave THE TALK. I want to thank everyone at the show for the wonderful years together. I will always, always cherish the memories we shared. Most important, I want to thank you, the viewers, for allowing me into your home every day. It was a privilege that I will forever be grateful for. To everyone behind the scenes, I send you my love. I will miss you all very, very much. To Eve: you’re the newest one at the table, but I feel like I’ve known you forever. You are even more beautiful inside than you are on the outside, if that’s even possible, because, you know I think you are flawless. Sheryl, thank you for being the perfect go-to partner for the last 7 years. I open, you close, and you always bring down the house. We called ourselves “The Book Ends,” remember? And we always laughed when we said it to each other. Your wit, and timing, and humor, and compassion, and intelligence is simply unparalleled. You are incredible. Carrie Ann [Inaba], I don’t know, but in my opinion, you look awful good sitting in that chair, my Asian sister. I’m just saying! And finally, to Sara and Sharon: we’ve been together since day one at THE TALK! I’ve spent every day with you both. I will always treasure our friendship, the great parenting advice from both of you, and the memories and laughs and all the private jokes that the three of us have shared. We are the original three musketeers. I love you all, and I know this show, and the sisterhood it stands for, will live on for many, many, many more years to come. You ladies got this, and I could not be more proud to call you my friends. I love you.” We wish Julie Chen the best and send love to our friends at “The Talk”

Random Ridiculousness: Kentucky Man Rejected By Woman On Facebook Charged With Burning Down Her House

WTF?!?! Man Rejected By Woman On Facebook Charged With Burning Down House Social media can lead to new connections but it can also bring unwanted attention. Via My Fox 8 reports: A Kentucky man is facing charges of burglary and arson after allegedly burning down the house of a woman who rejected him on Facebook. “I definitely hate to see this for my sister,” said Samantha Beagle, the victim’s sister. Samantha Beagle and her husband tried to save her sister’s home, but it was too late. “My husband actually pushed the front door open and we had to jump off the front porch. There was no going in, smoke was just rolling out,” Beagle said. “This is one of those tragic situations where somebody is now without a home and for such a minor reason. It’s disturbing,” said Major Robert Warfel, with the Frankfort Police Department. Major Warfel says the homeowner, 22-year-old Joanie Yount, was being harassed online by 37-year-old James Graham. “She had some comments posted by this individual on her Facebook page about some pictures she had. She rebuffed those and it’s kind of what set this all in motion,” he said. “It got to the point that she was very aggravated,” Samantha Beagle said. Beagle says Graham was an acquaintance but Joanie Yount was not interested in a relationship. “She doesn’t want a relationship, she just wants people to leave her alone. When it comes to stuff like that, either be decent or don’t bother her at all,” she said. However, authorities say Graham didn’t back off. Police say he found an unlocked door, let himself inside and started a fire in Yount’s bedroom. Fortunately, Yount and her 3-year-old son were not home at the time. Beagle says she can’t imagine what Graham would have done if Yount was home at the time. The home suffered smoke and water damage, which destroyed the floors and ceilings in some of the rooms. The single mother and her son were forced to find another place to stay. Yount has picked up a second job to help replace her son’s Christmas presents that were destroyed in the fire. Graham is now charged with burglary and arson. You can’t be serious!!!!!!!!!!! Continue reading

Chrissy Teigen is at it again. The revealing actress – both physically (see Chrissy Teigen nude pics here!) and verbally (she wants all haters to eff off! ) – was a guest on E!’s Fashion Police Friday and told host Joan Rivers that she never wears underway. Why? “I just don’t, I don’t like it,” she said simply. So, what happens when the model has “like, a heavy flow day,” Rivers asked? Fortunately, co-host George Kotsiopoulos jumped in and didn’t allow Teigen to answer. “Oh, T.M.I.! T.M.I.! Stop! Stop it!” Thank you, George Kotsiopoulos Teigen is set to marry John Legend in September – and those sitting in the front row may get an up close and VERY personal look at the beautiful model.
