Money Team: Forbes’ List Of Highest Paid Youtube Stars Is Topped By A 7-Year-Old

Source: Nicky Nelson/WENN.com / Nicky Nelson/WENN.com Every year, Forbes puts out different lists for people in every industry–from actors, to rappers, and now, Youtubers–so fans can see the hierarchy of our favorite stars. On December 3, the publication put out their list of  Highest-Paid YouTube Stars for 2018 . Though there are definitely some familiar faces on there for true Youtube fanatics, there are most definitely some surprising features in the top 10–especially the star who snagged the top spot.  Like we mentioned prior, some of the usual suspects are included in 2018’s earning list. Taking the 10th spot is Logan Paul , earning a whopping $14.5 million in 2018. In January of this year, the 23-year-old was kicked off YouTube’s Google Preferred program after he filmed a video in Japan that showed an apparent dead body hanging from a tree. Even after his apology, his income from videos and brand deals took a definite hit, but loyal fans kept his insanely successful merchandise business afloat. Though it may seem counterintuitive, even though PewDiePie is the most followed YouTuber with 74 million subscribers, he doesn’t make the most–but $15.5 million this year is nothing to scoff at. Unsurprisingly, PewDiePie also faced some backlash last year after some anti-Semitic videos–but now, advertisers have returned, and it looks like these Youtube stars continue to defy all odds after whatever scandals they face. All of the stars on this list are controversial, it seems. Jumping to number 5 brings us  Jeffree Star , who brought in a massive $18 million this year. Following SEVERAL scandals regarding racist comments throughout the years, it looks like Jeffree’s support system is still stronger than ever. He cofounded Jeffree Star Cosmetics, which sells an estimated $100 million–plus of eye shadow, lipstick and highlighters annually. As we move up to number 2, we see another controversial and widely hated Youtube star: Jake Paul . The younger brother of the man with the 10th position, Jake brought in $21.5 million this year, also profiting mostly off of his merchandise business. It pays to market to little kids. Speaking of marketing to little kids, one of the most surprising entries on this list is undoubtedly the first, with a 7-year-old taking the top spot. Ryan ToysReview , a 2nd grader with 17 million followers, made $22 million this year from reviewing toys. Legos, trains, he even has his own line of collectibles for sale at Walmart. Try not to feel useless after hearing a 7-year-old makes more in a year than most people make in their lifetime.

Legendary Lech Levels: Girthy Groper Ron Jeremy Banned From AVN Awards Over Indecent Accusations

London Entertainment/Splash News Ron Jeremy Can’t Attend AVN Awards Over Sex Misconduct Allegations Even the adult film industry has adopted a zero-tolerance policy toward accused creeps. Ron Jeremy is persona non grata at this weekend’s AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and Awards and the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo convention, the company confirmed to the Daily News. More than a dozen women have accused Jeremy of sexual assault over a 30 year period according to a December Rolling Stone article. One actress says Jeremy raped her twice in December 1997, another two women claimed he assaulted them at conventions, and yet another accused him of grabbing her and trying to give her a leg massage at a clothing-optional resort in Jamaica in 2011. Jeremy threatened legal action over the rape allegations in a statement to Rolling Stone: “As for the charges of Groping, I say yes, I AM A GROPER. And by groper, I mean I get paid to show up to these shows, events, and photo shoots and touch the people and they touch me. I’m not the young stud I was, but I still draw a crowd. And we are talking about things that are within reason, in front of police officer’s and security that are always there as well as the tons of cameras And the general public,” he said. “But seriously, if you were going to be around Ron Jeremy, wouldn’t you assume that I’d be a little bit touchy feely? Yes. This is what I do for a living. I am not Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Weinstein or Cosby.” SMH @ his statement! So he’s an admitted creep. Good for AVN for taking a hard stance. No pun intended. Ain’t Over: Mo’Nique Says Sheryl Underwood Lied About THIS—But Why’s She Still Talking About Tyler Perry?

Earl Gibson III/Getty Images First Netflix, now Sheryl… Mo’Nique Calls Out Sheryl Underwood, Talks Oprah, Tyler Perry & Lee Daniels Again Mo’Nique isn’t done speaking on her Netflix snub and she’s bringing some other people into the mix. As previously reported Mo’Nique did a Periscope with her “daddy” Sydney who cried as he spoke on his support of the “world’s most decorated comedian” who showed off her trophies—before dragging Oprah for not helping black women. Things got especially interesting, however, when she brought up fellow comedienne Sheryl Underwood who spoke on Mo during “The Talk.” Mo previously said that neither Sheryl nor Julie Chen came to her defense and during the show, Sheryl defended herself. Sheryl said she spoke with Mo’Nique and didn’t tell her to take low offers, and actually advised her to go back and make amends with Oprah, Tyler Perry and Lee Daniels, who she previously accused of blackballing her. “I do not recollect ever asking her to take less money, especially if she felt she was violated. What I asked her to do and what I was hoping that she would do, was to talk to Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels… Now she may not agree with me but what I do commend her for now is having the discussion that will hopefully open the door to solving this racial and gender inequity problem that we see.” According to Mo’Nique however, that’s a flat-out lie and instead, Sheryl agreed with her that she was wronged by the team behind “Precious” and suddenly rushed off the phone after making that statement. “I watched my sister Sheryl Underwood sit on that stage on “The Talk” and she said, “Let me be clear about something I never told Mo’Nique to take low offers, I told Mo’Nique if she asked for forgiveness from Oprah, Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry then things would be okay,’ said Mo’Nique. Sheryl Underwood is telling a lie, I can’t call my sister a liar but I will say she’s lying. I have the proof of the conversation. When Sheryl Underwood called me what she said was; “I know you’re not lying and I know you’re right” and that’s when I said, ‘B*** then when why are we here?!’ That’s when she got into a big hurry,” she added. “‘I gotta get to the airport, I gotta get on a plane!’” Sheryl reportedly said. Do YOU believe Mo’Nique??? And why are we STILL talking about Oprah, Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry?! Paul Archuleta/FilmMagic Hit the flip for more from Mo and her hubby. Continue reading

Selena Gomez: Demi Lovato is SO Brave! I Love Her!

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato were both Barney actresses before becoming Disney stars as teens. Since then, though, their lives have taken down different paths — each with their own claims to fame, their own successes, and their own struggles. Demi recently shared a lot about herself in a documentary, showing how far she’s come but revealing that she still has a ways to go. And who spoke up to praise her for her honesty and bravery but Selena Gomez. Selena Gomez revealed her Lupus diagnosis back in 2015. The illness, which was constantly mentioned on House back in that medical drama’s heyday, involves Selena’s own autoimmune system attacking her healthy organs, perceiving them as intruders. Despite modern medicine, Lupus can still be deadly. Even with drastic treatments, including chemotherapy, Lupus has taken its toll on Selena Gomez, forcing her to undergo a kidney transplant in secret earlier this year.  It was actually her friend, Francia Raisa, who donated her kidney to Selena in a life-saving display of friendship and generosity.  Selena’s ongoing battle with Lupus has forced her to take multiple extended breaks from her career as an actress and from being one of the greatest singers on the face of the Earth. Honestly, as wonderful as it is that she was able to receive a kidney transplant, that’s not a cure. It’s a short-term solution for one particular problem. Some people are genuinely afraid that Lupus will claim Selena’s life. Demi Lovato has had more than her share of struggles too, however. In fact, Demi recently shared before and after eating disorder photos , highlighting her dramatic transition into being and feeling so much healthier. She’s also spoken at length about mental health — about bipolar disorder and especially about the debilitating effects of depression. Contrary to what some people might suggest, just because Demi’s illnesses are psychological doesn’t make them her fault. And it doesn’t make them somehow more deserved than Selena’s Lupus or anyone’s anything. Demi shared bits of her life and struggles in her documentary, Simply Complicated . But Demi also talks about how much personal progress she’s made. Demi promoted her documentary, which is on YouTube, via Instagram. Selena Gomez left an Instagram comment for all to see. “This was beautiful. I’m so happy for you.” Recently, Demi’s life has been full of many good things for her to celebrate. Selena’s praise continues: “You always continue to [be] bold and real. I wish more people were like you. Love you.” That is so wholesome. The world really would be a better place if more people were like Demi Lovato. Or like Selena. In the documentary, Demi speaks directly about her continuing battle with her eating disorder. “When I feel lonely, my heart feels hungry and then I end up binging and I don’t know how to figure out how to be alone.” A lot of people eat emotionally, even when they aren’t hungry. Demi’s situation is a bit more severe, which is why this is called a disorder. (Which means that solutions that work for most of us, like “oh I’ll knit instead of eating” or “just play video games that keep your hands busy” aren’t as helpful for people who might compulsively overeat) “One thing that I haven’t fully conquered is my eating disorder.” Eating disorders usually work a little like alcoholism — you might recover, but you never have a “normal” relationship with food. “Food is still the biggest challenge in my life. It’s something that I’m constantly thinking about.” That part is almost universally relatable, right? I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to eat today since last night. What makes it a disorder is that Demi has, in the past, struggled to stop herself from overeating — and then she dealt with self-loathing issues by throwing up. That’s bulimia, folks. Understanding that those battling mental illness aren’t just grappling with neurotypical impulses is important. It’s good that Selena Gomez has so much empathy for her friend. And it’s good that both of these talented stars are sharing their stories. View Slideshow: Demi Lovato: 19 Candid Confessions from Her Documentary

Pink on Christina Aguilera Beef: She Tried to Punch Me!

There's so much talk about Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift these days that it's easy to forget the current queens of pop aren't the first to wage all-out war against one another. That honor probably belongs to a couple greasy-haired dudes who got in a fight backstage at The Ed Sullivan Show , but who cares about them? We want to rewind a bit, but not all the way back to the days when people paid money for music, like freakin' barbarians. This story takes us back to the early 2000s, a time when many Americans innocently thought we'd elected the biggest jackass president this country would ever know. In 2001, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, and Mya all collaborated on a cover of “Lady Marmalade” for the soundtrack to Moulin Rouge , aka The One Where Nicole Kidman Tried to Sing . Apparently, the former two got into a disagreement about who would sing what part, and there was very nearly a physical altercation. Pink has since attained the status of living legend, while Christina spent some time on that show with the spinning chairs. Anyway, Pink appeared on Watch What Happens Live last night, where she told Andy Cohen about the time that Christina tried to punch her: “We were super young and super new at the whole thing, and I think I’m an alpha, and she’s an alpha,” she said during the show's “Plead the Fifth” segment. “I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal. We’re just very different, we’re very different. And we were very young and new.” Unable to suppress laughter, Pink added: “She swung on me in a club. Hilarious … I was like, 'What's happening?'” Pink says she and X-tina are “fine” these days, which is something Aguilera should be very happy about. That would've been a severely one-sided fight.
