Last month, the world learned that June Shannon is dating Mark McDaniel – the man who served ten years in prison for molesting June’s eldest daughter, Anna. In the weeks since, Anna’s situation has only gotten sadder, as June has consistently lied about her relationship with McDaniel, and may have even stolen from Anna to buy McDaniel a car . Not surprisingly, the newly-married 20-year-old has cut ties with her mother. Anna and June are currently engaged in a high-profile war of words, and they’ve both publicly accused each other of distorting the truth. Thus far, the majority of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fans have expressed their support for Anna, but as June continues to give interviews in an effort to clear her name, Anna seems to be growing concerned that her side of the story will get buried under her mother’s lies. So perhaps it’s not surprising that Anna has decided to carry on the proud tradition of embattled celebrities and write a tell-all book about some of her uglier experiences in the spotlight. Anna broke the news on her private Facebook page earlier today: “I think I’m going to [write] a book,” Anna wrote in a status update. “Don’t know how successful I’m going to be, but I’ll try…Who is ready to hear it?” She immediately encountered some backlash from her younger sister, because apparently her family hasn’t messed with her life enough lately. Lauryn Shannon posted a comment reminding Anna that she never graduated high school, and then quickly deleted it. “For one thing, you don’t have to graduate to write,” Anna responded. “Stay out of grown folks’ business and be a kid which you still are…stay off my page.” June Shannon then commented on Anna’s status, saying, “When I seen Lauryn post that comment I made her take it down.” Not surprisingly, Anna has yet to respond to her mother.
Last week, sources claimed that Sugar Bear Thompson would not fight for custody of Honey Boo Boo on the condition that June Shannon cut ties with Mark McDaniel. McDaniel molested Anna Shannon – June’s eldest daughter – when she was just 4 years old, and Thompson was reportedly very concerned for the safety of his youngest child. Even so, he planned to give Shannon time to provide a safer environment for 9-year-old Alana (better known as Honey Boo Boo), in part because he didn’t have a place of his own in which to raise her. Now, Thompson has reportedly changed his mind and has begun contacting lawyers about having Alana removed from June’s home ASAP. The cause of the sudden urgency is unknown, but it may have something to do with a revelation made by Sugar Bear’s brother earlier today. It was previously known that McDaniel had spent time in Alana’s presence, but June and other insiders swore that there was never any physical contact between them and that all of their visits were supervised. Demi Lovato has a new album out and, of course, she wants it to do well. But the 18-year old tells The Associated Press that she has much loftier goals these days: she wants to be a role model to young girls everywhere. Referring to her struggles with eating, body images and bipolar disorder, Lovato says: “To me, it’s more rewarding for me to speak about these issues and know that I’m possibly making a difference in someone’s life. I feel like I’m held more accountable to stay healthy now because now I’m a role model to young girls to not have eating issues and to not say, ‘Hey, it’s OK to starve yourself’ or ‘It’s OK to throw up after your meals.’ That’s not OK .” Demi Lovato – Lightweight (Live) Demi is still in therapy for her own problems and says recovery is a “daily battle.” “I have a very strong treatment team.
