With just a few weeks remaining in the competition – and ratings dwindling by the week – we present our latest Power Poll, counting down from number-six to number-one. In its December issue, the magazine names this teenage singer its Woman of the Year! “Woman of the Year – I didn’t even know I was a woman!” Gomez tells the publication in response. “I’m very honored… and it’s a very, very big deal to me. I’m going to hold it close to my heart.” Gomez was recognized by Glamour partly for her career, but also because she is the youngest UNICEF ambassador of all-time. She is also part of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which creates programs for pediatric hospitals for severely injured kids. Says Taylor Swift of her pal: “She’s giving back to people who need help, because of her own life experience.
