That’s what happened when J ohn Witherspoon , better known by his name on The Wayans Brothers Pops, died on October 29th. Two of his most notable roles are playing Craig’s Dad in the movie “Friday” Willie Jones, and his role as “Grandad” in The Boondocks TV series. John David “J.D.” Witherspoon recently took to Twitter to share a fun fact about the time his dad almost turned down the role of “Grandad” on the hit show The Boondocks . “True story, my Dad almost passed up on the role of grandad at first,” J.D. recalled on Twitter, Saturday. “He asked me ‘JD you ever heard of this thing called The Boondocks ?’ I heard him say that and BUGGED OUT! We have an update on the tragic death of Jessi Combs. The former MythBusters host and racecar driver was killed in a car accident late this past August , passing away at the very young age of 36. According to multiple reports, Combs was trying to set a land-speed record for a woman driving a three-wheeled vehicle when the crash took place in Oregon’s Alvord Desert. A statement from Jessi’s family confirmed as much at the time. Now, the Harney County Sheriff’s Office has announced that it has completed its investigation into the crash involving Combs, with cooperation from the North American Eagle Race Team. It was announced an official cause of death. “Based on the evidence collected and examined at the scene of the crash and the evidence recovered by the North American Race Team it appears that there was a mechanical failure of the front wheel, most likely caused from striking an object on the desert,” Lieutenant Brian Needham said in a press release. He added: “The front wheel failure led to the front wheel assembly collapsing. “The front wheel failure occurred at speeds approaching 550 miles per hour.” It’s this last part that really explains it all, of course. Combs was driving at speed literally never driven at before — given the vehicle in which she was traveling — and it’s nearly impossible to know how a car will react to this sort of circumstance. Jessi’s cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma. This is not surprising, but that doesn’t make it any less sad. Combs hosted MythBusters from 2009-2010. She also appeared in the television series documentary Overhaulin. And, just last year, she stopped as a guest in Jay Leno’s Garage. Said her family upon confirming their loved one’s passing: It is with extreme grief, and in celebration of her life that her family and close friends share that race car driver, and TV personality Jessi Combs, passed away in a fatal crash, where she was pursuing a land speed record in the North American Eagle on August, 27th 2019 on a dry lake bed in Oregon. The details of the crash have not been released at this time. Concluded Jessi’s relatives this summer: Jessi was known for her bright smile, positivity, and tenacious pursuit of the fulfillment of her dreams. Her drive was infectious, and she served as a role model for young Girls, and Women around the world. People that loved her and followed her became family, all bonded together by adventure and passion. Her fans adored her, and she lived to inspire them. Jeremy Roloff has shared some surprising news with fans. And also some concerning news. The former Little People, Big World star took to Instagram late this week and informed followers of the following piece of information: He very recently underwent surgery. On Saturday, the 29-year old explained what happened, why it happened — and how he’s making changes to ensure it never happens again. “Yesterday I had my first surgery. Inguinal hernia surgery. “I’ve had a hernia for the past few years, but thought I could live with it in order to avoid surgery, so I ignored it.” Yiikes, huh? We don’t recall Jeremy having ever touched on such an issue before. He continued with his update by providing a lot more information. To wit: “Over the last several months I’ve been having some increasing health concerns, specifically severe lower back pain and chronic shoulder pain. “I’ve come to realize that I’ve been subconsciously protecting my hernia with poor posture and lack of core strength.” The host of a podcast and the author of a memoir, Jeremy went on to say that he isn’t in peak physical condition. This has a lot to do with how he’s been feeling, too. “I’ve pretty much eliminated all physical exercise too which has increased the problem because of muscle loss which has me walking weird as well,” he wrote online, adding: I’ve been ignoring my health and it all came to a head when just a few days ago I threw out my back after sneezing. Embarrassing, right? Roloff is expecting his second child with wife Audrey in January. So it’s imperative that he gets back on his feet in order to help with his growing family, especially once the newborn arrives. “All said, I’m considering this a turn in my health journey,” Roloff concluded. “I have a goal to be in the best shape of my life by 32. Health is something that needs continual attention or else it unnoticeably fades – like most things in life. Time to put some attention back on personal health!” For those interested, a hernia occurs when an organ pushes through an opening in the muscle or tissue that holds it in place, per the Cleveland Clinic. For men, the inguinal canal is a passageway for the spermatic cord and blood vessels leading to the testicles. The injury can be very painful if left untreated, as Jeremy just found out. We’re glad he’ll soon be back on his feet, though, and ready to help with precious baby number-two. Jeremy and Audrey announced that they are expanding their family in July … and revealed it would be a baby boy in August. ”We’re so excited!” Roloff wrote on Instagram for the gender reveal, which featured footage of the former reality stars finding out it was a boy via blue-colored smoke. “We are surprised and can’t wait to be a family of four,” Audrey captioned her own video. Things got very ugly on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation last night. And, incredibly, none of the drama centered around Jen Harley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. Instead, viewers tuned in to see the fallout from last week’s interactions between Zack Clayton Carpinello, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Angelina Pivarnick. In real time, of course, Farley dumped Carpinello after she watched the previous episode and witnessed how he flirted up a storm with Angelina (while JWoww was passed out at a club). But these installments were filmed months ago — meaning Thursday night gave us a glimpse at at the complete $hitstorm that broke out the day after Zack, Jenni and Angelina got wasted during an evening out… … and Zack totally groped a stunned Angelina on the dance floor. The following morning, Jenni woke up — still in her dress and still drunk. As Zack quietly tried to get her ready for the airport, Vinny talked to Angelina in the living room. “The weirdest thing is I saw you guys dancing at Drai’s, and he grabbed you,” he said, adding that he witnessed Zack “touching your ass.” YES! Thank you! Angelina was ecstatic to hear this. “You saw it! You saw it! I saw your face! Oh, thank God. Thank God! I wasn’t dreaming,” she exclaimed, claiming that Zack told her after the club that he would be calling her to say hi. She thought the entire situation was really odd and felt 24 just got “too comfortable, too quick.” “Even though I don’t like Angelina, I actually agree with her right now, that that was kind of shady situation,” Vin said in a later confessional. “I know that Jenni is looking through Zack-colored lenses right now, but if Jenni finds out about this whole thing, she’s gonna flip out.” Cut to everyone heading home and a text thread getting underway about what the heck happened between Zack and Angelina. “We were in a group chat talking about the night Jenni was drunk in Vegas with 24,” Vinny told the camera. “I made a comment like, ‘Yeah, and how about when Zack was dancing with Angelina?’ Angelina says that Zack was grabbing her, she doesn’t like 24, she’s saying his intentions aren’t good, and that really pissed off Jenni.” From there, the episode delved into a lot of he-said/she-said territory, as a now-sober JWoww tried to piece together what transpired. During a FaceTime call with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to fill her in, she relayed her boyfriend’s side of the scandalous story. “Angelina’s trying to turn it into something like he grabbed her. She f-cking kissed him!” Jenni shouted into the phone. Elsewhere, Angelina was busy keeping her fiancé, Chris, in the loop. “[Nicole] is texting me saying, ‘What happened in Vegas? Did you make it a big deal that he was dancing with you?'” she read from her phone. “How f-cking dare her?!” Back to Vinny: “Any time you’re on Jenni’s bad side, you’re also on Nicole’s bad side,” he explained. “So Nicole starts to text Angelina like as Jenni’s little attack chihuahua and was like, ‘What are you saying about Zack?’ So now it’s an all-out war. Jenni’s now saying that Angelina tried to kiss Zack, Angelina’s mad that everyone’s teaming up on her, that this is gonna ruin her engagement. “And we’re all about to get together for Deena [Cortese]’s baby’s baptism in just a couple days.” Angelina then cried on Deena’s shoulder at the latter’s house, insisting that she was the one wronged here. “But what did Zack do? He just moved you out of the way?” Deena asked. Angelina said it was an intentional and “inappropriate” grab that was causing major strain on her engagement and life in general. “I’m stressed out. I lost so much weight over all this. This can break up my engagement, you know? Just her saying that? My fiancé thinks that this actually happened, and this is why I’m upset,” she said, wiping away tears. Jenni. for her part, was having trouble of her own… simply because she couldn’t remember anything about the night in question. “I just don’t like being that person that’s like, ‘I don’t remember any of it.’ But I’m glad that I was that level because, if I would’ve saw that, her kissing him, and I was in a state of mind…” she said, imagining laying the smackdown on Angelina. After Vinny tried to explain that Zack had acted inappropriate, Jenni blew him off and said that Carpinello claimed that Angelina kissed him . “I’m sorry, but like, there’s nothing for me to be mad at,” she later told the camera, adding: “Unless Zack like physically cheated on me, not my problem! If he kissed her, that would be a huge problem, but he didn’t! Supposedly, she did. “I don’t trust Angelina. I truly believe Zack. He’s just not capable of lying. There’s nothing for him to gain out of that.” When Deena got together with Jenni and Nicole later that night, she explained that Angelina had come over and cried to her about the situation. “‘Cause she’s guilty!” Jenni yelled. “I would cry, too, if I was like, ‘Damn, I got f-cked up and I kissed someone.’ Zack was like, ‘I have nothing to hide. At the after-party for Deena’s son’s baptism, Angelina and JWoww were seated at different tables and managed to avoid each other. But Snooki approached Angelina and said: “Don’t be mad at me. I didn’t do anything.” Angelina replied” “Aw, that’s cute, Nicole.” “I texted you to let you know what happened because I black out sometimes,” Snooki explained. “I f-ck up sometimes and I get drunk, and I’m like, ‘What the f-ck did I do?’ That’s why I texted you, to be like, ‘Girl, you were drunk. This week’s new Keeping Up With The Kardashians trailer showed, among other things, some intense feuding. Kim and Kourtney sound like they are once again at each other’s throats. A report says that Kris worries that, even if their fights are good for ratings, one day it could tear apart their close-knit family. An inside source opened up to HollywoodLife about the rising and ebbing tensions between Kim and Kourtney. “The girls do fight very dirty,” the insider acknowledges of the sisters. The source adds: “They don’t hold back and often say very hurtful things.” Yeah, they’ve more or less made a whole career out of that. And even after all of these seasons of filming, as we saw in the recent trailer, they’re still fully capable of putting each other on blast. The only good thing about their fights is that, when the sisters have differences, they aren’t allowed to fester for long. “But, they also don’t shy away from talking about it,” the insider observes. “When things get ugly,” the source adds. “Kris forces them to talk it out.” “She works very hard to play peacemaker when her girls fight,” the insider notes. The source explains: “because she knows how important it is that they stick together.” Kris is sure to emphasize to her children that solidarity is a source of strength. While the family petitioned the court for guardianship, Foster wrote that she was opposed to the idea of her daughter living with her aunt, Nipsey’s sister. “I strongly oppose both of the petitions filed by Samantha Alexandria Smith, Samiel Asghedom and Angelique Smith,” Foster says. “I am the mother of Emani Asghedom and there is no good reason my rights as her mother should be taken away from me, or otherwise reduced as her mother.” Apparently, a judge didn’t agree. She claimed the family tarnished the co-parenting relationship she and Nipsey had built over the years. The court found that Nipsey’s family provided enough evidence to prove that Nipsey’s siblings Samantha Smith, Sam Asghedom and his mother Angelique Smith have been named Emani’s guardians. Emani is expected to inherit half of Nipsey’s 2 million estate. The son he shares with Lauren London, 3-year-old Kross, will inherit the other half.
